Oh, very tragic for Spenser.
Generally, she felt sorry for him. However, there was still another factor that piqued her interest. Ella.
The young witch has high hopes that she will win the affection of the King. When Olivia heard that she was on their way to the Red Moon Pack, she was ecstatic. When Ella goes over there, she has no idea what will happen to her.
Ella.
While riding behind the King’s horse, she could not take her gaze off of him. His unusually icy demeanor and threatening expression were causing Ella great concern.
So, what exactly is wrong with him?
She was certain that something was amiss, but Alpha Ronald, leader of the Red Moon Pack, had previously been told of Spenser’s arrival and had prepared accordingly.
The whole pack within Ronald’s home bent their heads and knelt as King Spenser and his subjects entered the compound via the gate.
The women carried bowls and baskets from their labors, while the males carried clubs and swords. On both sides of the road Spenser was traveling on, they knelt vertically. And as they got closer to the Mansion, they could see Alpha Ronald and his family standing in front, beaming. Spenser and his men arrived where they needed to be, and when they did, they all dismounted because they knew that this was a once in a billion chance to see the Alpha King.
As soon as Spenser dismounted, his guards sprang from their mounts and rushed to meet him, while Alpha Ronald and his family got down on their knees.
” I don’t deserve this, yet your grace is too much to bear, Great King. ”
With his head down, Alpha Ronald remarked.
King Spenser approached him with even strides, strides that proclaimed his superiority.
“Alpha Ronald! “he yelled as he stepped before the groveling Alpha.
“Get up, right now.”
When compared to Spenser, Alpha Ronald was a senior citizen. He was a chubby guy with a small pot belly; he and his wife Luna had only three children, two boys and a girl.
However, in the eyes of the law, age had nothing to do with supremacy. Ronald’s chubby appearance was never boring since he could transform into a vicious jackal.
He got to his feet, and so did his whole family.
“The Alpha King, I greet you. ”
Ameca, Ronald’s Luna, remarked with a glisten in her eyes,
“Words can’t explain how delighted I am to have you here.” Both her clothing and cosmetics were of the highest quality.
Well, she didn’t want to seem like a petty queen, therefore she couldn’t ignore the presence of the king and his wife in their land. She took care to ensure that her children did not seem shabby. “Pleased to meet you, Supreme Ruler. ”
The remaining youngsters all welcomed with polite bows.
The girl was the youngest and resembled her mother in appearance. Spenser paused for a moment before continuing.
“The opportunity to meet everyone here is a bonus, “he said. As he looked directly at Ronald and said, “And I hope you accept my condolences for the death of the previous Luna,” he seemed really saddened.
” your mother was a wonderful person. “The alpha Ronald bowed with a grin on his face.
“I appreciate your caring, Alpha King. Hearing these remarks from you has helped me tremendously. Both of Spenser’s wives had already dismounted and were approaching. ”
“A magnificent welcome to you, great Queens,” Alpha Ronald grinned. The capacity of my happiness has been exceeded.
“Thank you. A warm welcome to you and your family, “Natasha said with a kind grin.
“Greetings to you also, Alpha and Luna,” Olivia also addressed the two of them. She flashed a grin as she caught sight of the Luna. In this case, the necklace was already on her neck…. The table is ready, and the food is still hot. Alpha Ronald said, “Please do come in,” and then he closed the door.
Alpha Ronald’s Mansion was finely constructed and adorned to seem like that of royalty, but unlike King Spenser’s magnificent palace, the rest of the Alphas could only afford modest homes. As they escorted King Spenser and his subjects to dinner, they discussed various administrative details. Since King Spenser wasn’t much of a talker, Ronald did most of the talking. Up until they reached the main dining area, he provided him with a few brief comments.
“And here we are!” The leader spread his arms out wide.
The finest supper of his life, he thought with a grin. Spenser made his way to the large dining table, which was piled high with delicious-looking hot dishes. They were irresistible to the eye, but his hunger had mysteriously vanished.
When Alpha Ronald said, “Please, make yourself comfortable,” he got out the special seat he kept for the Alpha King, and Spenser gladly sat in it. After that, all of his wives, including Luna and her children, went to acquire their own.
After taking a seat, Alpha Ronald clapped his hands, and seven servants rushed in to help.
“Please bring this over! Dole it out! “He cautioned the maids, “Be cautious not to make any mistake,” and they got right to work serving the guests. Both of them had a lot of dirt to drop. I was wondering how Ronald’s loved ones were doing.
With his mind cluttered, Spenser asked. “Oh! ” The leader grinned. “There is no one better than my wife. The truth is, I’d be lost without her. “He leaned over to the Luna who was seated next to him and caressed her cheek, eliciting a blushing grin from the Luna. Olivia looked at the pendant around Luna’s neck with gleaming eyes.
In addition to being a necklace, the pendant also functioned as a ring. This ring was crafted especially for the Luna – Ameca, and it glowed in the moonlight. In the same way that Ameca had difficulties during the full moon, this ring was designed to alleviate such symptoms. It was as vital to her survival as breathing, and she had to wear it on her ring finger every time there was a full moon. It was precious to her and shined like gold; Olivia could not wait to watch her face when Ella “stole” it. Her smile was unmuffled and mysterious.
She turned to him and said, “It’s been my joy, Alpha. ” Additionally, Alpha Ronald tapped her on the palm.
King Spenser said, “That’s a nice thing to hear,” despite his efforts to seem upbeat.
The servants had finished preparing and serving the meals, but Ella had her sights set on the King. The ALPHA and his family probably wouldn’t be happy to hear of his digestive issues, and he probably wouldn’t want them to believe he was refusing their supper, so she reasoned. Therefore, she wondered.
The Alpha Ronald hoped that the Alpha King enjoyed his supper.
When told that “I handpicked the greatest chefs in my pack,” all Spenser could do was moan as he brought out a wooden spoon. Everyone else had started eating, and then Spenser stared at Ella, locking eyes with her for a few second.
Ella looked away first, followed by Spenser, who stared at his plate. He ate the smothered vegetables slowly with a spoon.
As the unavoidable choking sensation hit him, a flicker of terror appeared in his eyes.
With much effort, he swallowed the veggies and drank a lot of water. When he was having trouble, Alpha Ronald saw that everyone around him was concerned, especially Ella.
“Can I check on you, Alpha King? “worriedly, Alpha Ronald queried.
