Seeing that Nellie did not believe him, Andre felt a headache.
“I really have nothing to do with her.” Seeing that Nellie really didn’t believe him, Andre explained.
He wasn’t a man who was good at explaining, but right now, he didn’t want Nellie to be upset by it.
Nellie, “Then why did you attend various parties with her before?”
Andre, “It’s just business, you can trust me.”
Hearing Nellie’s rhetorical question, he was uncomfortable for a moment, but when he reacted, his heart warmed up.
Does it mean that she cares him?
Thinking about it, he couldn’t wait for her to ask more questions later.
Nellie grunted, “You think it’s just business, what about her? Does she think the same way?”
With Violet, Nellie felt that women are very often problematic in their perspective on relationships.
What a man think doesn’t matter may seem to a woman to be a different story.
Andre took her into his arms, “Whatever she thinks, I won’t let her hurt you or the children.”
How could he not see what Nellie was really worried about?
As expected, Nellie was relieved to hear him say this in such a firm tone.
On her own, it really didn’t matter, but on the matter of the children, she could never bet on it.
If Daisy would bring danger to the children because of Andre, then she would rather not have anyone else and take the children away.
It didn’t matter if Andre was important to her, it was just that she already had someone and something more important in her life.
When Andre saw that Nellie did not say anything, he panicked, “What’s wrong? Why don’t you say anything? You can’t have the idea of leaving me now.”
Knowing that Nellie might back out, Andre’s heart was panicking like never before.
Seeing him looking so nervous, Nellie laughed, “You have fears too?”
“Yes.”
Once, he was afraid of nothing, as if it didn’t matter what he lost, but not anymore.
Now if Nellie took the children away and left his world together, he dreaded to think what the scene would be, he might die.
Nellie, “Andre, I don’t care what kind of person you used to be and how many people you’ve provoked, but danger cannot be brought to children.”
“If those people threaten the safety of the children, I will take the children away with me to a place where you will never find us.”
Nellie said word for word, her tone was so firm.
And it was at this time that Andre completely realised that he could no longer be half as important as the children in Nellie’s world.
It hurt to know this outcome, but then it occurred to him that it would be good for her to stay by his side as long as she had a reason to do so.
The fear was that she had no more reason to stay by his side.
The force of his hug tightened and he said, “Don’t worry, I won’t let anyone hurt you or the babies, not even the slightest hint of danger.”
It was only after his repeated assurances that Nellie did not continue to dwell on the matter.
Alina lived on the estate with Chester.
It didn’t take long for Andre’s call to come in, Chester was busy in the kitchen making her food, Alina picked up the phone, “Hello.”
“How did I not know before that you were still a gossip?”
A gloomy voice came from Andre, hearing this voice, Alina knew that Andre had found out the truth.
Alina grunted, “You treated her badly before, now it’s mercy for you.”
“Are you my sister or not?” Andre burst into anger.
How had he not realised before that Alina was such a jerk?
Alina, “No.”
Andre felt his heart smothered.
She was so heartless.
Alina, “I’m reminding her today, and even more so, I’m reminding you.”
“Daisy and I are not the kind of relationship you think we are.”
“Emma and Caleb weren’t the kind of relationship I thought they were either, and Annie and Chester weren’t the kind of relationship I thought they were either, but they both almost got me killed.”
The relationship was not for a man to identified, that depended on what the destructive woman’s thoughts are.
Andre was silent when he heard this.
Alina’s fears were right.
Although he had not seen Daisy during this period of time, Daisy had made a lot of moves behind the scenes, and he certainly noticed them all.
Nor would he let those things come to Nellie, whom he had not wanted to know.
Now being reminded by Alina, Nellie got nervous.
“Anyway, you should say less of that in front of her in the future.”
Andre was furious.
Some things were already troublesome to deal with, and Alina still messed it up.
Alina, “I will say it.”
“How dare you?”
Did it mean that women’s temper would all change after they got pregnant? Andre really felt that in the past, Alina was not someone who loved to gossip.
She was now a gossip girl.
But this gossip of hers had affected Nellie’s mood, which was not something he could allow.
Alina, “Alright, I won’t tease you anymore, get rid of Daisy, at least until your wedding.”
The wedding was only three days to go.
What kind of time these three days have been for Andre can now be imagined.
Andre, “I know.”
People say that a pregnant woman is silly for three years, but in Andre’s opinion, his sister is not only not silly, but shrewd.
During this period of time, Nellie was so wrapped up in her children that she didn’t have time to think about anything else, but when she was reminded by Alina today, she remembered everything.
As Alina hung up the phone, Chester then brought up the dessert, “Have a try.”
“You’re getting better and better at cooking.” Alina said.
The dessert looked good.
Chester, “Did your brother call you just now?”
Alina nodded.
He threatened her again on the phone.
Chester, “Daisy is not that simple, but he won’t let it affect Nellie.”
As soon as Alina heard that it was not simple, her hand holding the spoon froze.
She asked Chester, “How come? Nothing will happen at the wedding, right?”
That was her biggest worry.
Chester rubbed her hair, “Don’t worry, your brother has taken care of the wedding, there will definitely not be any problems.”
“Good to hear that.” Hearing that it wasn’t a problem at the wedding, Alina put her mind at ease.
Andre was really something. How on earth did he provoke Daisy?
Chester could see what was in her mind, “Daisy wanted a project in his hands and tried to seduce him.”
“What?”
Chester, “Surprised?”
“No, did she succeed?” When asking this question, Alina was nervous for Nellie.
She was so shrewd and defensive that she didn’t know anything about it.
Chester shook his head, “Don’t worry, it didn’t work.”
“Good.”
Luckily, Andre had his bottom line though he looked like a scum bag.
