There was news from the Chambers family.
It was Nellie’s aunt who passed on the news, saying that Martha was not allowed to talk about it, but Andre’s action was so great that her aunt was worried that the company would suffer too much damage, so she called Nellie without the knowledge of Martha and her uncle.
Nellie heard her aunt’s meaning, hoping she would not involve the Chambers family.
After hanging up the phone, Nellie looked at the storm raining outside, the suffocation in her heart was like a stone, pressing her breathlessly.
Barney came down from upstairs, dressed in a suit, neatly and nobly.
Nellie frowned, “You’re going out?”
“Yes, there’s something going on at the office that needs to be taken care of.”

His teasing tone made Nellie embarrassed.

Barney took her hand, “You have something on your mind?”
Nellie froze. Was she acting that obvious?
Thinking of that phone call from her aunt, she subconsciously shook her head, “No.”
Barney, “Nellie.”
“I mean it, and even if there is, I will take care of it myself.”
When faced with emotional problems, she wanted to deal with them herself, and in particular, she did not want to involve Barney in them.
Barney rubbed her hand, “Is it Andre?”
“You…”
“I know all about it.”

“What I fear most right now is that you are meddling in the affairs of the Chambers family.”
What kind of existence was the Chambers family for her?
She loved it but hated it too.

Hearing that, Nellie looked at Barney in shock, wanting to say something, yet she could not say a word.
She didn’t know.
Although she had already thought about how she was going to respond to that phone call from her aunt this morning, it had been on her mind all day, and she knew exactly what kind of person Andre was.
Now that everything has started, he will not rest until he has achieved his goal.
“Nellie.” Seeing that Nellie did not answer, Barney’s tone heaved.
Nellie, “Barney, I’ll give you a definite answer after I’ve taken care of Andre’s matter, okay?”
Right now, Nellie did not dare to give him any reply at all. She was afraid that she might end up with a change of heart.
