Chapter 896 Lure the enemy away from his base

Book:My Billionaire Ex-wife Published:2024-5-31

Caleb had everything set up.
But he still underestimated the ability of Sienna all these years, and the ability of those around her was even more outrageous.
There was no movement for a week, and on the day when Lottie was injured, Alina was gone.
When Caleb saw the empty room and the brush that Alina had dropped on the floor, a sinister look flashed across his eyes.
“They took her away.” These words were spoken through gritted teeth.
He really wanted to tear them all to pieces.
During this week, both the Spinster family and Andre have launched an offensive against the Ajax family.
It was to force her to transfer all her people back and made her have no time to pay attention to Alina.
But he eventually miscalculated.
Sienna was like a snake, once she was targeted, she would bite you hard.
Now Alina was gone.
Tomas was alarmed, “Her people are like hocks.”
There were a lot of them, and he felt hard to be defensive.
And each one of them had some kind of ability in them, which was nothing like the losers they had met before.
Caleb’s brain was aching badly.
Angry, he kicked over the sofa straight away, “Block all the exits and search all the paths.”
“Yes.”
Tomas noded his head.
In fact, many of the general directions had been arranged.
E City now was considered Caleb’s territory. Sienna was really crazy, now she was going to fight with Chester in the end.
She was crazy to take Alina away, just to fight with Chester.
What kind of feud was there between her and Chester?
Right now Caleb couldn’t care less about this, but now that Alina was taken away by her sister, it was definitely not a good thing.
So before that happened, he must find her.
The whole of E City was soon abuzz with chaos.
Caleb’s search for Alina was not like the previous covert one.
There was a lot at stake this time, and she had to be found first.
E City was turned upside down by him.
Dakota led Alina alone to the hidden boat spot, only to see a man in a black trench coat standing on the boat she had prepared in advance.
The man wore a hat and his face could not be seen, but even from that distance, she could sense the hostility radiating from him.
“Who are you? What do you want?” Dakota asked, guarded.
Now Lottie was not with her, and to ensure that she was not exposed, she was therefore leaving alone with Alina.
The two of them had already walked a long way, and Alina, who had been pampered by Caleb all this time, had refused to follow obediently.
She arrived here two hours later than expected, not expecting…
The man didn’t say anything, the moment he raised his eyes, Dakota was nervous.
His face was covered with scars like old tree roots and its horrors.
His eyes, however, exuded an incomparable grimness.
Dakota just felt the pain in the back of the head suddenly.
Her breath began to catch.
Turning back with difficulty, she saw Alina holding a stone in her hand, now looking at her in terror, her voice full of panic.
“Bad, bad man, you’re bad. I hit you.”
Dakota only felt the sky spinning.
She tried to brace herself for consciousness, yet eventually collapsed into the bushes.
Alina watched as the bad guy finally collapsed, her body still trembling, barefoot and with blood blisters rubbing on her feet.
She looked accusingly at the man standing in the boat, “Chester, that’s the bad guy, that’s the bad guy.”
She opened her mouth, a shiver all over her lips.
The sound of ‘Chester’ however caused the man standing on the prow of the boat to stiffen as he reached out and removed his hat.
The scars on his face, exposed to the sun, were even more gruesome.
And at this moment, those eyes of his were staring at Alina who was standing not far away, he thought she would be afraid.
But she, instead, walked straight towards him.
“Chester.”
Chester felt his breath unstable.
Alina did not faint , but braced herself for consciousness and came to the man’s face, holding out her hands, her eyes full of tears, “Give me a hug.”
Chester felt a dull pain in his heart.
He looked at Alina, not reaching out to her, and Alina became even more aggravated, repeating, “Want a hug.”
She was like a child at the moment, having a bit of a tantrum because of the adults not hugging her.
Finally, in her resigned gaze, Chester spoke, “You’re not afraid of me?”
The face he had today was one that would make a child cry.
She didn’t see it last time, but what about this time?
Now that she was closer and saw it, would she go into cardiac arrest like those people did?
Chester looked at her with his heart tightening.
Yet Alina looked at him in disbelief, “Why should I be afraid of you?”
Chester felt his heart ache.
In this moment he held her in his arms.
The fresh scent of the man’s embrace gave Alina a brief moment of peace.
Soon she was humming in his arms as she was about to cry, “Chester, my feet hurt.”
Chester pushed her out of his arms.
Looking down, he saw her bare feet, with some blood on them, apparently rubbed out with blisters.
Eyes glanced menacingly at the bush not far away.
Thinking about the way she had just picked up the stone, he felt she was really brave and escaped the other’s clutches when she caught the chance.
“I’ll take you to deal with the wound.”
Chester said to the bodyguard on one side as he picked her up and got off the boat, passing the shrubbery where Dakota lay.
“Get rid of it.”
“Yes.”
The man in black appeared.
Alina felt amazing and forgot about the pain in her feet.
He just glanced at Alina, who was frightened and hid in Chester’s arms.
Chester gave him a cold glance and the bodyguard felt helpless.
He just took a glance at Alina. How come she was so timid that a glance would scare her?
Miss Amy was better and she could fight alongside his Lord.
Chester carried Alina to the car, took out the medicine box from the trunk and carefully administered medicine to Alina.
The medicinal powder would irritate the wound, and again provoked Alina to cry.
Chester said softly, “Be good, you must put medicine on it, otherwise it will become inflamed and you won’t be able to walk in the future.”
“But I’m in pain.”
“I am too.” Chester said in a heavy tone.
Sensing Alina’s cowering, he moved more gently.
