Chapter 517 Piss them off

Book:My Billionaire Ex-wife Published:2024-5-31

This fashion show in Eglinton will allow Alina to stand on her feet in the fashion world as well. Looking at Brandon, she smiled, “Looks like you’ll have your hands full in the future.”
Brandon was the biggest manager of her company.
Brandon gave her a frowning look, “I’m glad you can still smile now.”
There was bit of fatigue in his eyes, obviously he was very tired during this period because of Alina’s state.
This, coupled with the fact that the Growth came out later than expected, caused Brandon even more problems.
The good thing is that it’s all sorted now.
Alina, “No matter what happens in the future, I will live with a smile on my face.”
Her tone was soft, but firm.
Mum and Dad and Grandma in heaven must have wanted her to have that same determination, right? Since she was the only one left.
She shall be one, who is not to be worried.
Joanna came over.
In the hotel, she hooked her arm around Alina’s neck, “Even a random draft can be chosen, how many people are pissed off?”
Many people have dug their heels in for these achievements, yet Alina has not bothered much in this regard.
It was so easy for her.
Alina said with a smile, “Not a big deal, there are a lot of people who hate me.” So she didn’t care at all.
Looking at Alina’s current state, Joanna was quite relieved.
She said, “I am deeply pleased that you have come to your present realization.”
Everyone says it’s great to see her in this state now.
Her state really was worrying before.
Alina took a shower and came out. Joanna had washed up and looked at Alina as she rubbed her hair.
Stepping forward, she snatched the towel out of her hand and said, “Long hair is just a pain in the ass, and I don’t know what you guys like about it.”
“Did you cut your hair because you found it troublesome?”
“Yes.”
“Don’t you think long hair looks good?”
“It looks good, but it’s a pain in the arse.” For designers, once they get busy, it’s possible to go a week without washing hair.
And Joanna is partial to cleanliness.
But short hair is a different story.
It didn’t need a blow-dry, long hair takes too long to blow-dry, and because of that, Joanna didn’t like it.
Alina, “Many beautiful things are done in trouble.”
Joanna changed the subject and asked, “Wasn’t it fine in Ingford? Why does it feel weird for you and Master Chester?”
Apparently, some of the things that were happening in Ingford were known to Joanna.
Therefore, she was worried about the relationship between Alina and Chester.
And at this moment when she was asked about Chester, Alina fell silent.
Sensing that something was wrong, Joanna asked, “What’s wrong?”
Alina, “Joanna.”
“Yes?”
“The Collins family probably had a lot to do with my parents’ death.” Taking a deep breath, Alina said in a somewhat deep tone.
And Joanna’s hand, which was helping her to dry her hair, stiffened at that moment.
“What did you say?”
The Collins family was in connection with the death of her parents?
How can it be possible?
Apparently, Joanna felt it unlikely.
Alina said bitterly, “It’s not clear yet, but I think that there must be some involvement.”
Joanna felt her brain blank.
Despite the confusion, Joanna instantly thought of a key point, “If it’s really related to the Collins family, you and Chester…”
At this point, Joanna couldn’t go on.
Alina, “When we had Emma around earlier, all our eyes were on Emma, and at that time I sensed that there might be someone behind Emma.”
She just didn’t know if that person had anything to do with the death of her parents, let alone who that person really was.
In retrospect, is it possible that the person behind this was the Collins family?
If so, why did Vanessa treat her like that? If it wasn’t the Collins family, who the hell was it?
“I hope, though, that person is not from the Collins family.” As long as it wasn’t one of the Collins family, it was fine.
Joanna understood Alina’s helplessness.
If it does turn out that the person behind Emma is a member of the Collins family, she and Chester would have no way out at all.
Joanna’s heart ached for Alina.
“Don’t think about that much first, leave everything to time.” How much time did Alina and Chester have left?
They have been missing out for so many years.
Why must they be tortured like this and made to suffer so much?
Alina, “Let’s not talk about that for now.”
Her world, now, is less clear.
So the only thing to do now is to keep quiet until everything comes to light.

Alina is a rising star in the wedding dress, her work is full of spirit and much sought after by the younger generation.
Standing on the podium, under the spotlight, she was so dazzling, giving her acceptance speech.
The stares from below were envious, jealous and resentful, with Kara’s stares being particularly piercing.
Margot just made it into the top 10.
And although Alina was in second place, it was a glory that they had always wanted to touch.
“Congratulations, Alina.” Coming down from the high platform, Joanna took her hand and wished her well from her heart.
She seems to be made for design.
Each piece carries with it a point that is unique to her.
Alina, “Thank you.”
“Congratulations, Miss Jocelyn.” Kara, with Margot in tow, came over from the side with a smile on her face.
Yet discontent was all written on her face.
Seeing Kara, Alina froze for seconds before reacting to the fact that this was the special assistant of Emma before.
In this way, it would explain exactly why she was discontent.
“Let’s go.” Alina did not intend to pay any attention to Kara, but pulled up Joanna and left.
However, just two steps out, Kara stepped in front of her, “Are you afraid of something?”
Alina and Joanna glanced at each other, both seeing sharpness and ridiculousness in each other’s eyes.
The eyes that looked at Kara again were all tinged with contempt, looking at her as if she were a joke.
