“I won’t do anything to you, and I’m here to hear the truth from you. Charged with drug trafficking, you’ll spend the rest of your life in jail.” Zhong Shaoting says ruthlessly.
Hearing Zhong’s words, An Ya abandons herself to despair. She thinks of Mrs. Fang who gave her hand to do some of the bad things. If she is about to be jailed, she has to find someone to suffer with her.
The vicious An asks, “Zhong Shaoting, aren’t you curious about where the video of framing Ding came from?”
Zhong Shaoting is so clever to know who spread out the video and where the video came from. However, he lacks some evidence to debunk Mrs. Fang. In the confrontation with Mrs. Fang, An’s accusation will become the strongest evidence. At the same time, Mrs. Fang will realize what sort of person her chosen good daughter-in-law is.

An Ya is so self-righteous to believe that Zhong Shaoting knows nothing about the video, and negotiates a deal: “Let’s make a deal. If I tell you who has hurt Ding Manman in the past, you have to bail me out. This is a beneficial deal for you. Think about it.”
“Who do you think you are? How dare you bargain with me! You have no right to do that. If you give me a complete explanation, and maybe I’ll show you some mercy and let you live easier in jail.” Zhong Shaoting says arrogantly.
At his words, An turns to feel flustered, fearing that she will be killed by the horrible man in secret in the next second. With a furtive glance at Zhong Shaoting, she lowers her head in panic again.
“What a horrible man! I am afraid that there’s no way to escape the jail, and I had better explain everything to him. Maybe he will get too busy in punishing others to spend much time in hurting me, which may make my jail life easier.” An Ya thinks so.
“All right, I will tell you everything. But I do have to ask you one favor!” An Ya implores.
“I’ll think about it after your confession, and I hope you won’t play any tricks with me. Even if there are things you won’t tell me, with my power I will figure them out by myself easier. It’s just a matter of time.” Zhong Shaoting says coldly.
Hearing this, An Ya realizes that all is out of her control and says, “I beg you to let my family off, who has no idea of what I did. The one who planned all the things is me rather than my family. Please release them, please.”
Looking at the indifferent man, An Ya gets so panicked to knell down to kowtow to him.
Seeing An’s humbleness, Zhong Shaoting gets to know that An who makes obeisance will not make trouble for Ding in the future. Zhong Shaoting, as a wise and rational person, will not injure An’s parents. Thus he says, “I promise you, and now you should start talking.”
“It is Fang Hao’s mother who sent the video to me, and she was the major part of the story that Ding Manman fell into the lake to get ill with pneumonia.” An Ya confesses.
Hearing this, Zhong Shaoting frowns and walks away, leaving no word to An.
Seeing Zhong’s departure, An Ya realizes that she’s doomed this time. She blames herself for having done so many bad things for pursuing a man who doesn’t love her. Meanwhile, she can’t help but think of Kang Jian who is also in prison now. Though he is overbearing and unreasonable, he loves her very much. However, it’s too late for her to figure all out.
Zhong Shaoting, who comes out of prison, looks at the twinkling stars in the sky which reminds him of the pureness and brightness of Ding’s eyes. It seems that he has been falling into a love trap step by step.
The next day, Mrs. Fang who is awakened by a knock on the door gets angry and shouts. At the moment of seeing Zhong Shaoting after she opens the door, she swallows all the words which are to express her dissatisfaction. She welcomes him passionately because she thinks this man who looks very noble and wealthy may be a business partner of her son.
Mrs. Fang takes the initiative to say, “Sir, please sit down, I’ll go and call Fang Hao.”
“No, I’m here for you. Just sit down, and I want you to listen to a recording.” Zhong Shaoting says with no expression.
Mrs. Fang feels startled that the man comes for her.
She listens to An’s words in the recording while her initial consternation turns into fear and disappointment, and she worries that the man in front of her will take revenge on her for Ding Manman. She feels so disappointed about An’s accusation and she never expects her favored daughter-in-law to be such a person.
“You… Why do you want me to listen to this?” Mrs. Fang asks with a forced calmness.
Mrs. Fang doesn’t argue about the accusation, which makes Zhong Shaoting know that An told him the truth instead of lies on this matter, and Mrs. Fang has really injured Ding Manman. Zhong blames himself for having not realized his passion for Ding earlier and failed to bring her back. If he has been accompanying Ding, how could she have encounter these misfortunes and endured those ailments!
Thinking of this, Zhong Shaoting becomes furious, “What do I want? What do you think I want? Do you think you’re doing the right thing? Do you think no one will back up Ding Manman? Today I’m going to make you pay for everything you’ve done!”
“No, you can’t do that! You can’t, you have no right to do so!” Mrs. Fang says fearfully.
