Chapter 670

Book:Surprised With Her Real Identities Published:2024-5-31

Such a young woman? Here to treat him?
Ricardo’s eyes showed a hint of surprise.
Seeing Franklin’s concern for Sylvia, especially the way he looked at her with affection, Isla felt jealous and bitter.
She distinctly remembered from MI6’s files that Franklin was divorced. All MI6 members’ personal information was stored in their computer archives, and she had specifically looked up Franklin’s information. It meant that he and Sylvia had already divorced, and Sylvia was his ex-wife.
Sylvia was Franklin’s ex-wife but still clung to him in various ways.
Isla’s gaze towards Sylvia was filled with disdain and contempt. Sylvia, Master Franklin had divorced you, you’re still lingering around him, trying to chase after him all the way to Urgford. It must be like this.
The more she thought about it, the more she felt that Sylvia was shameless and thick-skinned.
As she mentally fabricated scenes of how Sylvia was clinging to Franklin, she now wished to rescue Franklin from her immediately.
Then she saw Sylvia flipping through Ricardo’s medical records.
Sylvia read it quickly, almost scanning it line by line.
After a few minutes, she closed the medical records and spoke in the same calm tone, “This is an old chronic illness, not something that can be cured with a few medicines, nor can it be cured by staying in the hospital for ten days or so. It requires gradual conditioning. However, your experiments need to be postponed, and at the very least, your protective clothing and measures need to be upgraded.”
Ricardo was taken aback, “But… I’m using the best and most advanced protective clothing available in the country.”
“That’s why you need to take anti-radiation drugs and undergo anti-radiation treatment,” Sylvia’s cold gaze showed determination. “Just protecting is not enough, you need to fight against it too.”
Ricardo looked at Sylvia in astonishment, “How do I fight against it?”
He had thought that Franklin casually brought a young lady to fool him; now he completely felt that this lady was extraordinary.
“I will prescribe some medicines for you. You need to take them every day,” Sylvia said, lowering her head to pick up a pen clipped to the medical record. She quickly wrote a few lines.
“Longevity Pharmaceuticals has been researching drugs in this area.”
She wrote down the names of those drugs and handed them to Ricardo, saying, “These are the medicines you need. I will have someone deliver them to you.”
“Miss Andrews, are these drugs safe to take? Have they been certified by the government?” Isla asked with a disdainful expression as she leaned in to examine the unfamiliar drug names.
“Just because you haven’t seen them doesn’t mean that nobody has.” Sylvia’s voice was calm as she picked up her phone to call Logan. “You’re still in Urgford, right? I’ll send you a message on Facebook and you can pick up some medicine from the Urgford branch.”
“Okay.” Logan replied directly.
Isla rolled her eyes. This woman acted like she was so cool and professional, but what if she couldn’t take out the medicine later?
And Longevity Pharmaceuticals… the way she talked about it made it seem like it was her own company.
“Everyone knows that Longevity Pharmaceuticals is now the largest pharmaceutical company. Miss Andrews, do you know much about Longevity Pharmaceuticals?”
Sylvia glanced at Isla without changing her expression. She always seemed to be provoking intentionally or unintentionally; It was like watching a clown perform.
She nodded and then said to Ricardo. “It will probably take some time for him to deliver the medicine over here. Let me give you an injection first since I heard that you’ve been having headaches? This kind of headache is considered chronic illness and acupuncture treatment can help alleviate symptoms.”
Franklin felt very unhappy with Isla’s disdain towards Sylvia; his cold gaze swept over Isla’s face which looked as if covered with a layer of frost, “She will administer acupuncture treatment. You go out!”
Isla’s face stiffened slightly; She didn’t want to lose face. “I’m not bothering anyone by being here…”
Franklin found her extremely unpleasant; A hint of sarcasm flashed through his eyes. “Get out.”
Isla stomped her foot but had no choice but turn around to leave reluctantly.
Jasper could have stayed inside too – why couldn’t she? Just as this thought crossed her mind Jasper came out too, which made Isla feel somewhat relieved. “Did they kick you out too?”
Jasper glanced at Isla because they were colleagues after all he didn’t want things getting awkward between them so he gave a cool answer. “I’m going downstairs to meet Mr. Mertens.”
“Mr. Mertens? When did Urgford hire someone named Mr. Mertens?” Isla frowned.
Jasper remembered how Isla questioned Sylvia earlier, so he deliberately said, “You’ll find out soon enough.”
As he spoke, he walked towards the elevator only for its doors open revealing a tall figure stepping outside.
The man’s face, always appearing in the news, immediately made Isla’s expression stiffen.
