Chapter 577: Finale: She Would Never Be Lonely
Just as Thea expected, Nick really went to find Mia that night. Mia was crying happily when she video-chatted Thea, saying again and again how thankful she was.
The young couple spent a couple of days by the lake after Mia gave up her trip. Thea only hoped they could explain everything to each other and throw away all the unnecessary misunderstandings during this time. After hearing the couple decided to have a short trip aboard, she was still worried about Mia. Cody didn’t like the idea that his wife was still so worried when she was still pregnant.
But Thea just couldn’t help it. Her belly was swelling as the day when Mia and Nick sent postcards to her from aboard.
Candace and Thea had almost gotten pregnant at the same time. Their due date was also the same.
On that day, Thea and Candace were sent to the hospital simultaneously. Thea was nervous. Candace was making jokes about the babies sharing the same birthday cake.
It took Thea nine hours to give birth this time. When the twins came out, she was so exhausted that she couldn’t even talk.
Candace gave birth to a baby boy. The twins Thea had were a boy and a girl.
Franco was thrilled. He wanted a baby little sister so much, and now his wish was granted. Daniel, however, was glad that he had a little brother. Now, he was only the smallest kid in the house.
Cody sat by the bed nervously, pushing a lock of damp hair behind Thea’s ear when she was sleeping. He saw how pale and exhausted Thea was. And he couldn’t imagine how painful it was to give birth to the twins. He swore to himself secretly that he wouldn’t allow Thea to do it again.
It was so painful to experience not only for Thea. Seeing Thea in pain brought him so much pain as well.
Linford and Cristelle were so excited when they brought the twins back.
Drew and Fritzi brought a lot of stuff for Thea’s twins and Candace’s little boy.
Fritzi attempted to go upstairs to check out on Thea.
Cristelle stopped her, “Thea’s still sleeping. She’s too tired. Just let her take some rest.”
Fritzi nodded and put those stuff down, deciding to let Thea have a decent rest.
Candace recovered faster than Thea. When Thea went to visit her, Candace had already started to write a new novel. The more Thea read the story, the more familiar she felt.
“This novel is actually based on you and my brother,” Candace laughed as she explained.
Thea had the guess, but she didn’t dare to make the assumption. She instantly went blushing after hearing it come out of Candace’s mouth, “Wow… That’s an honor.”
“Yeah, the honor is yours, and the credit is mine,” Candace jokes, “But seriously, I started to update this novel on my blog a couple of weeks ago. All my fans love it! It could be even bigger than Heavenfall in the future. Would you consider casting in it when it adapts to a movie? I’ve already got some agents coming to discuss the deal with me. But I probably will save the adaptation right for Cody. I mean… as much as I hate that guy, he’s still my brother.”
“Hate is a strong word, Candace Bradley,” Cody arched an eyebrow as he peeled an apple for Thea, “Besides when the copyright is sold, I want 55% because you based that story on us, and you didn’t even ask for our permission.”
Candace grimaced before she turned to Franco, “Are you excited to see Mommy in a new movie, Eddy? I heard your favorite actor is Dylan. Do you want Dylan to play the male lead?”
Cody’s hands faltered. He turned to give Candace a death stare, “Candace Bradley.”
Thea instantly went to Cody and took the knife off his hand. She turned to Candace and smiled, “I won’t participate in any movies after Heavenfall because from now on, my lifetime male lead has been limited to only one person, which is this gentleman here. So you probably need to consider other casts when it’s adapted.”
Candace turned to Franco and made a face, “Eww…”
Franco giggled and mimicked his auntie, “Eww…”
Thea went to Candace because she wanted to learn scriptwriting skills. Candace gave her a booklist. Thea thus spent all day in the small library to absorb new knowledge under her professional sister-in-law’s instruction.
The learning process was exhausting. Candace was one of the greatest scriptwriters in the whole country, and her standards were unbelievably high. But Thea was a hard-working and talented student with years of acting experience.
The process was thus less difficult.
The three Moms saw how tired Thea was, so they made delicious food for Thea every day. Thea was combating herself all the time to not eat too much. She still got new movies of Heavenfall to do even though she was almost half-retired now.
Cody didn’t care about those movies. He only wanted his wife to be happy and eat whatever she wanted to eat.
But Thea still insisted on eating less and moving around more. Since she still couldn’t do any gym workout right now, she thus developed a habit of taking a long walk in the garden after each meal.
Worried about her safety, Cody would always keep her company no matter how busy his work was.
The babies were left to Cristelle, Fritzi, and Grace to take care of.
Daniel and Franco followed them everywhere like little tails. Thea used to be worried that the boys would be lonely when she gave most of her attention to their little brother and little sister. But Daniel and Franco were such sweet babies. They wouldn’t be jealous of their little siblings. On the contrary, they would love to help Thea to take care of their little brother and little sister most of the time.
Looking at the boys playing around in the garden and holding Cody’s arm, Thea suddenly let out a long sigh, “Boss, I don’t know why, but I suddenly feel so old.”
Cody laughed, “What are you talking about, Mrs. Bradley? Your happy life just got started. There’s still a long, long journey ahead.”
“No journey will be long enough as long as you’re the one who walks it with me,” Thea rested her head on Cody’s shoulder as she stared at the beautiful sunset above the fence.
Cody turned to smile at her.
Daniel and Franco exchanged an eye and giggled, covering their mouths.
The journey would be long. Yet Thea knew that as long as she had her beautiful family with her, she would never be lonely.
Author’s Note:
Finally, after several months of writing this novel, I have come to the right conclusion. First and foremost, I am deeply grateful to those who patiently waited for each update I made every day. Without you there to read this, perhaps I would not have the courage to finish the story of the lives of Linford and Cristelle, including their two children.
Secondly, I am wholeheartedly grateful to all of you because you are my inspiration to continue creating many more novels.
I would also like to take this opportunity to invite you to read my other novels that are published on this platform. Please click on my author’s profile and check out the beautifully completed novels there.
I also have a newly published novel, “HONEY, Love Me One More Time.” It’s a story of revenge by a wealthy woman who was falsely accused and forced to get divorced by her husband.
Until our next journey together, stay safe, guys!
I love you all,
Anna Shannel Lin
