Now, almost everyone in the group knew about Thea and Cody’s relationship, but they were smarter than gossiping around. No one wanted to get fired after knowing that Cody was the boss.
The site was pretty close to the hotel. It only took them a couple of minutes to walk there.
Thea went into her trailer directly so the stylists could get her makeup on.
Cody sent a couple of assistants to get her coffee ready.
It was already a bit hot right now. Thea’s scene today happened in school. She had to dress like a high school girl because she needed to finish a flashback scene today.
Cody frowned the minute his eyes landed on Thea’s short skirt.
Thea looked so sexy, and she made a head turn when she walked down the hallway.
Why must they dress her like this?
Cody instantly called Candace.
Candace, the scriptwriter of the movie, was still having her beauty sleep in the hotel.
She noticed her phone was buzzing, and she instantly picked it up, “Cody? What’s wrong?”
The shooting of Thea’s parts had only continued for a couple of days. And Cody had called Candace at least ten times to change the script. Candace even had to delete a kiss scene because Cody kept pressing on her.
“What about the dress she’s wearing? It’s so freaking revealing. Do you know how to write scripts or not?” Cody instantly asked.
Candace was so sick and tired of this, “I’m telling you. I won’t change any plots for you even though you’re the biggest investor in the movie. Stop calling me, or I’m gonna call Mom and tell her that you’re trying to ruin my career!”
And then, Candace hung up her phone and threw it away.
Thomas laughed and pulled Candace in, “Don’t listen to Cody. He can be a bit annoying sometimes.”
Candace squinted her eyes at her watch and jumped off the bed, “Shoot! The shooting had already started. No wonder Cody just called me. I have to be there.”
Thomas propped himself up in bed, “Why are you so worried? The director is there, and Cody is there as well. Thea will be safe.”
Candace sighed, “No… This is my first script. I must be there to make sure everything is okay. Or I will be so worried.”
Thomas couldn’t change her mind, so he went to the site with her.
When they got there, there were only a couple of minutes before the next scene. It was not particularly late.
Candace went to the director directly.
Cody narrowed his eyes when he saw Thomas, “What the heck are you doing here?”
Thomas shrugged, “I figured Candace needs my company. So I drove over this morning.”
Cody snorted, “Do you think I’m an idiot, Thomas? So you slept in Candace’s suite, and now you wouldn’t admit it? What kind of man are you? Are you hooking up with my sister just for fun? You’d better not have that thought because I will probably kill you.”
“Jeez, chill, man,” Thomas instantly answered, “I came over last night. But could you please not tell your Dad about this? I said that because I wanted to avoid trouble. Your Dad is terrifying.”
Cody shook his head, “When are you guys gonna hold the wedding?”
Thomas looked tired, “You should ask your sister this question. I probably proposed to her about a million times, but she still said it was too early. She said she didn’t want to get married now. What else can I do?”
Cody shook his head, “You need to up your game a bit if you really want to marry my sister.”
“Up my game?” Thomas was confused, “Like how?”
Cody rolled his eyes and turned around, walking toward Caleb.
The shooting had begun.
This scene happened in the school canteen. Thea, as the female lead, had to be bullied by other kids there.
In this scene, someone throws a plate of spaghetti at her face. Thea’s dress was ruined, and the noodle and ketchup all got on her long hair.
But she had to keep her face numb.
“Cut! Nice job, Thea. Next scene!” Caleb shouted through the speaker.
Cody went forward immediately, trying to get the food off her face. Thea stopped him, “Wait! I still need to use these in the next scene. Don’t touch it.”
Cody let out a sigh. He had a pathological preoccupation with tidiness, and to him, such things were revolting. It’s likely that Thea is experiencing a great deal of unease right now.
However, this was part of her work. As a result, Cody chose to remain silent.
Cody initially believed that this was probably the thing that got on his nerves the most today, but soon after, it was the scene where Thea was with Dylan.
Within the context of the film, this was their initial encounter with one another. It was necessary for the story’s progression that the male and female protagonists maintain eye contact with one another for a few seconds.
When their eyes met, Caleb insisted that there must be chemistry between them.
The situation presented a lot of challenges. It was so many times that Thea and Dylan did it. The very last thing that happened was when Caleb yelled, “Cut.”
The expression on Cody’s face became very gloomy.
On the other side, Candace felt an overwhelming sense of excitement at this same moment. She was astounded by how successfully Thea and Dylan were carrying out their responsibilities.
When she was writing the script, she ran the scene out in her brain so that the ending would be exactly how it ended.
“Gosh! They are lovely in every way, don’t you think?” Candace’s smile lit up the room.
She had no idea that her older brother would find situations like this to be excruciating on a consistent basis.
Cody was aware that this was Thea’s responsibility, but he was unable to stomach viewing any of these at all.
However, leaving Thea there by herself would give him a great deal of anxiety. Being a husband was one of the hardest jobs he ever had.
