“Stop pretending, Mia. I know exactly what you were thinking.” Drew scolded his daughter, “We spoiled you. Look at Candace. Look at Amy! None of them is as wayward as you!”
Mia hissed, “Amy left this country because Thea Todd stole her boyfriend. I’m not doing the same thing!”
Drew pointed at Mia, “You shut up!”
Fritzi instantly tried to calm her husband down, “Drew, come on. You need to calm down! Mia’s too young to know better.”
Mia clenched her teeth, “I’ve decided to go to a boarding school. You only want your Demi anyway. I won’t go back anymore, and I hope that will make you two very happy!”
And then, the girl just slammed the door in their faces.
Drew was so pissed off as she turned to look at his wife, “Did you hear that? Did you hear what she said? She’s getting stubborn!”
Fritzi instantly raised her hand, patting Drew’s back to appease his anger.
“Don’t get mad with the girl, honey. It’s not worth it.”
When they went downstairs, Mia had already packed her things and was ready to leave the house. They couldn’t even stop her from leaving the house.
“Mia! Why can’t you put yourself in our shoes?” Fritzi asked sadly when her daughter came downstairs.
“I’ll never be like your perfect first daughter. Go find Thea Todd if you want any comfort!” Mia spat and turned away.
Hearing their daughter’s remark, Drew started to get mad again, yelling, “Just let her go. She will realize how stupid her decision is after learning her lessons.”
Logan ran out of his room. He instantly understood what was going on after seeing his parents’ faces.
The boy left the house and went to check on his sister.
Fritzi slumped back into the sofa, feeling devastated.
“We truly did spoil her. Should we take this chance and let it go a bit? So she will finally be mature?”
Drew went to grab his wife’s hand, “No, honey. Mia can’t leave right now. If she leaves, the misunderstanding between her sister and her will only get deeper and deeper. You surely will never want that. right?”
“What are we gonna do then? She’s determined to leave!” Fritzi sadly uttered.
Drew said, “I think we should leave it to them. Demi is a smart kid. I believe she will work out a way to solve this misunderstanding.”
Fritzi was confused, “But how is she gonna solve this? She just came back to us, and she barely knew Mia.”
Drew didn’t say anything as he pulled his wife into a hug.

Cody and Pop came to Grandpa Weston’s house quite earlier the next morning because Thea was still living there.
The housekeeper came to open the door for them. Cody pushed Pop’s wheelchair in.
Thea was enjoying breakfast with her Mom, Granny, and Great-grandpa. She had never felt more content in her life before than this time.
She was smiling as she saw Cody’s face, “Good morning, Cody. I’ve been free for too long. Are you bringing any good scripts for me today?”
Before Cody could say anything, Mr. Weston suddenly cleared his throat. Cody glanced at the old man’s signal and instantly said, “There’s no script or anything. You’ve been quite busy the whole year. You should take this chance and get some rest. You know… Just spend more time with your family.”
“Okay.” Thea squinted her eyes suspiciously as she took her cup of coffee, “But I feel like a useless person after spending two weeks staying at home. I don’t want to be left behind by other people.”
Mr. Weston cleared his throat again before suggesting, “Demi, sweetie, do you want me to open a company, especially for you? So you can be your own boss.”
Cody went a bit panicked, “What are you talking about, Mr. Weston? The contract between Thea and me is not over yet. Why do you want her to open her own company?”
Mr. Weston didn’t answer his question as he took a sip from his cup of tea.
Cody’s eyebrow furrowed. Was this a warning? Was this old man threatening him to take Thea away if he dared to overwork her?
After breakfast, Pop insisted the group of people go to his house. Cody, as usual, was the driver.
Pop’s house was as big as Mr. Weston’s. And it was equally wonderful.
Thea was amazed by the view in the garden, “Wow… Pop… You plant grapes here?”
Pop laughed, “You loved these grapes when you were tiny. You asked Cody to pick those grapes for you every day.”
“Really?” Thea was happy hearing that.
“And you always picked those grapes before they grew sweet.” Mr. Weston added.
“Pop even kept pictures of us when we picked grapes. I’ll show you when we get back,” Cody smiled.
Thea was overwhelmed. She thought it was cute.
Pop led the group of people into his house, and then he asked Jack to fetch an exquisite box from his room for him. The box looked quite aged. Yet it was discreet and elegant.
When Pop opened the box, it revealed a beautiful ring with giant Pigeon blood.
Thea’s mouth dropped open at the beauty of the ring. The next thing she knew, Pop was asking Cody to put the ring on her finger.
Cody almost got tearful as he saw the ring. Pop loved him too much. This ring was quite important to the old man, but he decided to give it to Thea for Cody’s sake.
Cody cleared his throat and ensured he was not getting too emotional, “Pop would like you to have this ring.”
“No… I don’t think I should take this.”
Thea went a bit nervous, “This ring must be quite significant for him. I can’t take it.”
Pop grabbed Thea’s hand and shook his head, “No, honey. It would help if you had this. It should be yours.”
Mr. Weston arched an eyebrow as he witnessed the whole thing.
Franco was so sneaky. Everyone knew this except Thea that this ring was quite important to Franco Bradley.
This ring meant a lot to Franco, and he used to say that he was gonna save this ring for his great-granddaughter-in-law.
Right now, Pop was basically trying to remind Cody that it was time to propose to the girl.
Mr. Weston didn’t like this idea at all. As perfect as Cody was, he didn’t want his great-granddaughter to get mirrored so soon. He just had her back. He wanted to spend more time with her.
