The discussion on the internet disappeared. Thea’s accident was even on the national news. A lot of artists reposted her tweet to show support.
Some people even went to court to protest the excessive moves of anti-fans. The historical show Thea was cast in was finally aired during Christmas. But Thea was not in the mood to try to market it. Both her Mom and Granny were startled, especially her Mom. She made a lot of food to visit Diana.
Diana was a teenager, and she was so young. She was the only daughter in the family, and her parents loved her dearly. None of them expected an awful accident like this to happen.
Thea didn’t stop visiting the girl in the hospital from time to time, bringing everything she liked. She knew it was probably the only way to make the girl feel better.
“Diana, I really need to go to work tomorrow. You just stay here and get some rest. I will come back to see you after the work is done. I promise,” Thea said to Diana before she left the hospital.
Diana looked like she still wanted to hang out with Thea, but she also knew that Thea needed to do her job.
So she let Thea go.
The editing of Smoke had been finished, and the movie was going to be aired during a movie festival in Italy. The director said all the actors needed to be present during the event.
Thea was not in the mood to present at any events, but this was a part of her job. She knew she had to be there.
Cody, however, noticed how down Thea was. He thus said he would go to the festival with her.
Thea was thrilled.
On the day of departure, she got in Cody’s private jet. It was super fancy inside. Thea restrained herself so she wouldn’t look around like an idiot.
Cody even asked the attendant to prepare her favorite snacks. A smile showed up on Cody’s face as he noticed how happy Thea was after seeing those snacks.
He wanted to ask more about how Thea felt right now. However, a call suddenly came in.
Cody left his seat and picked it up, “Yes?”
“Sir,” Matt said carefully on the other side of the call, “I’ve found out the person who did it. That attacker is actually Nina’s fan. She was told to do that to Thea, as if it was Nina who told her to do that. We haven’t found direct evidence yet. That fan said she was angry that Thea stole Nina’s role. So she pretended to be Chris’s fan. And she said she wanted to ruin Thea.”
Cody pulled a face, “You said there was no direct evidence?”
Matt cleared his throat, “We only know that the girl is one of Nina’s biggest fans. She spent a lot of money on Nina, and they are pretty close. Nina is surely suspicious. But we also don’t have a clue yet.”
Cody’s face fell, “Okay, I want you to collect as many disgusting things Nina Black used to do, and I don’t want to see her face in this business anymore.”
“Yes, sir.”
Cody was sure Nina must have something to do with this, and he would never tolerate it. Nina Black would never have a second chance.
When the jet finally arrived, Thea got off and found it was freezing cold outside.
Luckily, there were already cars waiting.
They were taken to the hotel directly.
Thea got a phone call from the director right after they went to their suite. The director asked if Thea was ready for the red carpet later. Thea nodded, “Of course. I will be there soon.”
Zara took out the newest dress she had borrowed. The brand was pretty high-end. Thea’s career was soaring, yet she was still a new face. Getting a dress like this was already not easy.
However, Cody was not happy with the design, “This one looks outdated. And it’s all black. It won’t stand out during the walk. Get her a new one.”
Zara forced out a smile, “But Boss, Thea is just a new girl. Getting a dress like this is already uneasy for us. We tried so hard to borrow it.”
“Borrow?” Cody frowned, taking out his phone.
Zara hurried to stop him, “Boss…. No! It will be quite awkward if you buy her a dress. All the celebrities borrowed their dresses during the walk. It showcases how much faith the brands have in an actress when they decide to lend her some dresses.”
“I know. But you still hold that up for a minute.” Cody said as he made a call. About 30 minutes later, someone sent an exquisite purple dress.
Zara opened the box, and she was dazzled by the brand she saw. This was one of the A-list luxurious brands.
She swallowed as she turned to Cody. “Boss… Did you buy it?” Cody rolled his eyes, “I borrowed it. The owner of the brand is my friend. Just do the style already, or we will get late.”
Zara was thrilled as she went to do Thea’s hair and makeup.
Thea would get so many spotlights if she put this dress up!
Thea’s makeup and hairstyle were finished in two hours.
They left suite 7 square. Thea’s long hair was combed back. She looked both fierce and stunning.
Even the director was at a loss for words when he saw the girl.
He had never seen any rookies with such bearings when they made their entrance at a big movie festival like this.
The director wanted to talk to Thea a bit in the limo. However, a beautiful young man caught his eye. This man was not from his crew, yet he looked so eye-catching. The director thought he was an actor as well.
However, Thea suddenly introduced, “This is Mr. Bradley. The investor of our movie. I guess it will be fine for him to go with us, right?”
Bradley? The biggest investor of the movie?
Of course, it would be okay. What else could he say?
