This stage of shooting finished, and the crew gave everyone a three-day break. Thea thought she could finally get some rest, but another job came in. She and her band needed to perform during a massive charity event. She went to the studio right after getting off the flight.
The girls were all excited to see each other. They didn’t waste too much time hugging and chatting with each other since the schedule was tight, and they needed to get the rehearsal done. During the time when they took a break, Tiffany managed to slip that piece of news where Rachel went to the site and taught Thea how to act into Thea’s head. Tiffany meant to make Thea feel angry and pressured. She didn’t like the fact that Thea passed the audition and got the role.
Thea was also shocked and furious after hearing the news. But she knew that was exactly Tiffany’s purpose. So she kept cool and finished the rehearsal intently.
She knew that Rachel was up for no good! Why was this business filled with all sorts of vicious people?!
The charity event was held the next day. Many popular celebrities showed up, including Rachel. She was in a stunning dress, posing and smiling before the cameras. Tiffany saw her from a distance and ran over. She took a selfie with Rachel and posted it on Twitter, “Finally got to see my idol! Yasss!”
Tiffany’s fans were celebrating under that post.
“See? Tiffany is the real Queen! She works hard and has respect for her seniors. Unlike someone.”
“Our Tiff is cute and kind. She’s even prettier than Thea. But she didn’t get as many chances as Thea Todd just because she’s not the Chosen One.”
“Only idiots would believe that Thea Todd doesn’t have a sugar daddy to spend money on her, bringing her so many chances and resources. Yet she’s still a useless piece of shit.”
Those comments were mean and dripping with venom. Thea’s fans were so pissed off as they confronted those haters.
The war was still going on as Rachel went on the stage to sing a song.
The host didn’t let Rachel leave the stage after the song was over, “Rachel, there are rumors online about you going to the site and teaching Thea how to act. Is that real?”
Rachel smiled. She had expected this. The sponsor of this event was Thea’s company. These people would definitely use this chance to clarify Thea Todd’s name. But Rachel didn’t have any plan to do so.
“Please DON’T say that. Those people who said these are just internet haters. I did go to the site and performed a bit. But that is only for communication. I didn’t want to teach anyone.” Rachel laughed.
She didn’t deny it, though. And she was secretly suggesting that even though she acted on site and her acting turned out to outshine Thea’s… it was still not her fault or intention.
God… This woman did know how to speak. Thea frowned when the cameras were not focusing on her face.
Tiffany shot Thea a sarcastic look, knowing there was nothing Thea could do to clarify this.
Those anti-fans started to celebrate under Tiffany’s post. Zara could tell that most of those “fans” sending bad comments were bots, or they were probably real accounts hired by someone.
The host smiled on the stage, “I see. So you did give Thea some constructive advice to Thea.”
Rachel flickered her long hair, “Sort of.”
The host nodded, “Actually, to market the film, the director, Ben, just brought some clips on-site for us to watch. So we can have a taste before the premiere. Let’s play it on the big screen so we can enjoy it together!”
Rachel froze, her face going pale.
Before she could say anything, however, the clip was already playing on the big screen. It was the clip where Rachel said she wanted to try this character in that argument scene. The director seemed a bit reluctant, but he still said yes. Everything had been recorded, including the massive comparison between her and Thea… And Thea’s comment, “Too much”.
Thea’s comment stung Rachel’s heart like a thorn. The worst part was that Thea was absolutely right. Everyone who was not blind in this event could see that.
When Rachel watched Thea act out the scene, she was sitting behind the monitor, and her face was twisted with deep jealousy. The clip even got that recorded.
Rachel was frozen on the stage. She realized in horror that not only all the people she knew in this industry would see this. All her fans and people online would also see this.
What was she gonna do?
She felt like she was watching a truck driving over her, and she could do nothing to prevent the coming storm.
Her reputation and career were completely destroyed.
What did she just say?
How would the audiences make fun of her?
How dare Ben put this clip out? Wasn’t he afraid of offending the investor?
“Communication, you said?” The host smiled after the clip was over.
Rachel’s smile was falling apart, yet she still had to keep it together, “Ye-yes… Indeed Thea is a talented actress. She will shine in the near future.
Everyone could tell how mad and humiliated she was at this moment.
When Rachel walked down the stage, she almost tripped on the hem of her dress.
Another war was waged online. All the fans were voicing different opinions.
Thea’s fans were finally happy, complimenting and cheering Thea up nonstop. They had never felt more united. The fact just proved that their idol was worth all their attention and love.
Tiffany went a bit panicked after witnessing the mess. She pulled out her phone and clicked open her Twitter, wanting to delete that post about Rachel a couple of hours ago.
However, right before deleting the post, she suddenly realized something.
If she deleted this selfie right now, would people think she was a snobbish bitch who would only fawn at the powerful side?
That would completely destroy her image.
Even though everyone had started to condemn her under that post, she still needed to keep that selfie.
What should she do?
When Tiffany was hesitating, Rebecca’s favorite band went on the stage. Rebecca threw her arms in the air, and she accidentally nudged Tiffany. Tiffany accidentally pressed the button “confirm.”
And that post was just deleted like that.
Tiffany’s mouth fell open. She turned to stare at Rebecca viciously. She looked like she wanted to kill her.
And the camera next to Tiffany got everything.
