Cody enjoyed a cup of coffee with the director as the girls took a lunch break from the shooting. Those dresses might look glamorous and elegant, but they were hella heavy. Most girls took off those dresses when they went to lunch. Thea was included.
Something felt very different as Thea put on her dress again. Thea was a bit suspicious at the beginning, but she decided to shove off that thought, convincing herself she was just thinking too much.
When she went back to the site, the photographer asked the girls to pose for the posters.
Thea was arranged to sit in the middle.
Cody happened to walk into the site when the shooting began. He watched from a distance. Thea was even more beautiful than those photos Candace had just sent him. Cody didn’t even know why he came here after seeing those photos.
He was definitely not here for Thea Todd. He just came to inspect the work of the crew.
Yep… He was here for work.
Even though Cody wouldn’t admit that he only wanted to be here to see Thea, he still couldn’t take his eyes away from the girl.
However, the longer he looked at Thea, the weirder her dress appeared to be in his eyes. After the photo shoot was over, Thea stretched and was gonna stand up from the couch.
Cody suddenly yelled across the studio, “Thea! Don’t stand up!”
However, everything was too late. When Thea stood up from the couch, her dress just fell off her body fluidly as if all its stitches were cut open in a split second. Thea screamed, her hands shooting up to cover her chest.
Cody didn’t even think as he dashed forward, pulling her into his body, wrapping his arms tightly around her as he held the edge of the dress to cover her ass and back.
Thea didn’t even realize what had just happened. She only felt scared and shocked as Cody squeezed her body tightly. She didn’t put a bra on because the front of the dress revealed too much chest. The straps of her bra would ruin the look. Right now, however, her soft breasts were pressing against Cody’s chest. The coldness of the fancy fabric of his tailored suit made her have goosebumps all over her skin.
Thea hummed sadly and shrunk herself even smaller into Cody’s chest as she noticed people around them were looking.
Cody went blushed shortly before he turned his head to order the crew, “GET OUT! All of you! Shut the cameras! Don’t let me see any photo-leaking! If any of you dare to leak a single photo about this incident, I will ensure you won’t find any jobs in this city for the rest of your life!”
The director only realized what just happened right now. He hurried to shut the camera and tried to cast everyone out, “Out! Hurry!”
Thea had never seen Cody act like this before. He was so furious.
The girls also fled out of the studio, murmuring to each other as they left. This man looked so freaking handsome, and he somehow had the right to order the whole crew around.
He was so young yet so intimidating. Was he a big figure behind the show? Who was he?
Tiffany cast a vicious look at Thea before she left. Why was this whore always so lucky?
Candace didn’t leave. She sent her assistant to grab a new dress for Thea. And then, she hurried over to comfort Thea, “I’m sorry, Thea. I should have been more careful. I should have kept an eye on those people coming in and out of the studio. Someone must have done this to you on purpose. They’re all jealous of what you achieved in this show.”
“Candace. What are you talking about? This is not your fault.” Thea stuttered. Her face was red as a tomato.
This trick was quite vicious. Whoever did this, that person must want to ruin her image in front of everyone.
“You’re okay?” Cody only asked now. He looked down worriedly into Thea’s eyes. Thea had never been so close to this man before. The way he looked at her made her blush.
Why the heck was he so beautiful?
Thea shifted her body, and she suddenly felt something hard and massive at her thigh.
Thea. “…”
Cody suddenly realized the growing desire in his lower body. He blushed and got silent.
WHAT THE HECK IS THAT??!! Thea was screaming inwardly, but she didn’t dare to move because she was still naked.
“I’m sorry.” Cody apologized with a low voice.
Thea went extremely red as she stuttered, “Don’t be… Thanks for saving my life.”
Candace came to drape a blanket on Thea’s shoulders. Thea shifted in Cody’s arms. Cody hummed a bit as he turned around, ensuring he wasn’t looking at Thea as Candace helped her put clothes on.
“Cody, you really should get an assistant for Thea.” Candace complained, “Those snakes are trying to bite her flesh off.”
Cody cleared his throat, “Matt will take care of that.”
“Cody? Why are you facing us with your back?” Candace squinted suspiciously.
“Nothing. I’ll be waiting for you guys in the car,” Cody walked away instantly. And the way he walked was quite weird.
Candace shook her head and sighed before she turned to face Thea, “I’m really sorry for my brother. He can be quite weird sometimes.”
“Huh? Oh.” Thea smiled awkwardly, “Please don’t apologize, he helped me.”
Candace smiled, “I just sent the director a message. He said you could have one day off. Do you wanna go to our house? It will be safer there.”
Thea cleared her throat, “That will be really nice. But I don’t want to bring you guys any trouble.”
“Thea!” Candace pouted her lips, “If you talk to me like a stranger again, I will be so mad!”
“I’m sorry.” Thea smiled as she looked at her. Candace was such a cute girl.

Cody was nowhere to be found when Thea and Candace went to the car. Matt was in the driver’s seat instead, “Sorry, but Mr. Bradley just drove my car and went back.”
“He wouldn’t even wait for us?” Candace rolled her eyes as she held the door open for Thea, “No wonder he can’t find himself a girlfriend.”
“Candace!” Thea tried to make Candace less judgmental about her own brother.
Matt laughed as he listened to the girls.
“Come on,” Candace got in the car, “I was just telling the truth. Cody may seem quite arrogant and overbearing usually. But he’s so old-school and reserved. I doubt he could find himself a girlfriend before he gets 30.”
“That’s a bit harsh, Candace.” Thea sighed.
Reserved and arrogant?
But he dashed out of the crowd so fast to protect her.
Thea could still feel the firm grip of his hands on her arms.
And that… thing… on her thigh…
Thea went furiously red. Stop! She scolded herself. Stop thinking about him.
