The live chat on YouTube was spamming.
“Quite bold, this girl.”
#Thea the Queen!”
“Yasss! You tell her that!”
The muscle on Paris’s jaw ticked a bit. She was royally pissed off, but she knew she had to stay calm and maintain her public image, “Thea, I didn’t ask those girls because I thought you were different. You’ve got so much attention online even before the show officially started. People hold high expectations of you, including me. But… the way you reacted to the challenge right now made me a bit disappointed.”
If there wasn’t a camera directed toward Thea’s face, Thea would have rolled her eyes.
Paris acted like she held zero ill intention against her when she tried to sabotage her audition. Paris was such a cunning bitch.
Thea knew nothing about dancing, but she would never run away from a fight. Paris thought she was in control because she was the judge, but Thea wouldn’t let her get what she wanted easily.
So, facing the camera, Thea let out a smile, “You asked me to dance? Fine. I did get a lot of followers because of the interview. Those people have encouraged me, giving me my daily dose of confidence for the last two weeks. So I’ll do this for their sake.”
The live chat went crazy again.. “Aww… Is that a callback?”
“Here she comes! Our confident girl!”
“That’s my girl!”
“She said she’s doing this for our sake.”
“I love her so much.”
“What music will she dance to, though? She said she doesn’t even know how to dance… I’m worried.”
“I hope it won’t be too awkward.”
“God, I hate that Paris bitch so much. She’s shady.”
Paris knew Thea couldn’t dance, if she were gonna do that, she would definitely make a fool of herself on stage.
Paris couldn’t even suppress her smile before the camera, “Okay. I’m looking forward to it.”
“Can I get a few minutes to choose my music and change my clothes?” Thea asked.
“No problem,” Paris smiled. She couldn’t wait to see Thea get on that stage again and make a fool of herself.
Thea turned away and walked down the stage, mouthing a small “bitch” on her way out.
“Gosh! Did you guys see that?” The live chat went crazy.
“Yep. Definitely a ‘bitch. Caught on 4K.”
“Can’t argue with that. Paris Dunn earned the title.”
“Geez! Why do I love this girl so much?”
“Go for the win, Thea.”
About a couple of minutes later, Thea returned to the stage in a jumpsuit.
She looked so energetic and happy as she jumped onto the stage.
Paris frowned deeply. She didn’t expect this level of energy. She instantly hated it.
But she still leaned forward to the mic, smiling, asking, “Are you ready now, hon?”
“I’m ready now, Paris,” Thea smiled, her voice mocking.
“Good!” Paris narrowed her eyes sassily, lips pursing in disapproval. She didn’t like how Thea talked to her, but she knew Thea would soon make a fool of herself on the stage like a stupid monkey.
And she would kick this stupid bitch out of the competition and ensure that Thea would never show up in this industry again.
Paris felt better as she thought about that.
“Cue the music!” Thea snapped her fingers.
When the music started to play, the whole hall fell silent.
“This is something new.
The Casper Slide part two Features the Platinum Band
And this time
We’re going to get funky.”
The hall broke into loud laughter, and the judges’ jaws dropped.
On the stage, keeping a straight face. Thea started to dance to Cha-Cha Slide.
The live chat went crazy again. “Gosh!”
“Cha-Cha Slide… This is cool!”
“YOU GO, GIRL!”
“Is this real? Am I high?”
“You show that bitch how to dance, girl!”
Thea’s dance was ugly. But it was in an adorable way. She didn’t even look self-conscious as she did that. And the audience loved it. Some of them even stood up from their seats and danced with Thea.
The whole place went high.
Paris looked around and clenched her teeth. Why were these people so obsessed with this whore?
Thea ended her dance with courtesy.
The audience clapped and whistled.
“Thank you!” Thea waved to the crowd, “That is for all my underdogs who can’t dance!”
“We love you, Thea!” Someone yelled in the audience.
Other judges also laughed. Some of them even stood up to clap for Thea.
Thea was so confident and looked pretty. She might not know how to dance, but her humor and confidence killed it.
Thea smiled as she engaged her gaze with Paris challengingly.
It was time for the judges to speak. The audience fell silent gradually.
“That is a lovely performance, my love,” Paris’s voice was crystal clear in the mic, “But I’m afraid you can’t get the pass ticket to the next round.”
“Booooo!” Someone booed among the audience.
The live chat on YouTube went furious. And comments flooded immediately.
“What the heck is wrong with this stupid whore? Thea killed it! Okay?”
“Guys, we can still save our girl by voting for her. Just go to the website.”
“I’ll stop watching this if our confident girl is gone.”
“Paris Dunn is such a bitch!”
“You guys should quit talking about our Queen. Paris is perfect. You guys are just being jealous.”
On the stage, Thea just stood there and looked at Paris quietly, “May I ask why?”
“Honey, you’re funny,” Paris flickered her hair before the camera, “But we’re not choosing a comedian. We’re making a world-class girl band. Whatever you just did… on the stage…” Paris grimaces as if she is disgusted, “Can’t be taken as a dance performance. Letting anyone get in that easily won’t be fair to people with serious talents. At least they take the competition seriously.”
“I’m also taking the competition seriously. I just gave the show everything I have,” Thea didn’t flinch. “I don’t even know how to dance, but I danced for my audiences anyway. You can tell me that I’m a clumsy dancer, Paris. But if you tell me that I have no respect for the stage or for my audiences, then you’re the one who has no respect for anyone. Chad-Chad Slide is everyone’s childhood memory. You can’t just call the song ‘whatever’.”
The live chat went alive again:
“Yesss! You tell her! Queen!”
“Thea’s pretty smart. She never lets go of any chance.”
“I swear that I won’t watch this show anymore if Thea quits!”
Paris went red as the angry murmurs and booing of the audience grew louder.
