Fritzi’s hand shot up to cover her mouth. Her eyes welled up with tears as she gasped against her palm.
“I got this ring prepared a long time ago,” Drew looked at Fritzi’s eyes intensely, “I know you probably don’t have feelings for me, but … I don’t know. I just want to ask, or I’ll regret it for the rest of my life. I want us to raise this baby together and build a family. I know this is unfair to you. But please, Fritzi, I just need to know… It’s killing me.”
Drew didn’t even know what he was talking about. No one in history probably messed up his proposal speech so much as he did. But he knew he didn’t have the time to prepare for anything. So spilling his true feelings was the only thing he could do this time before Fritzi’s eyes.
Fritzi’s eyes were sparkling with tears. And then, a smile appeared on her face as she took Drew’s hand, “Okay. Let’s get married.”
Drew quickly stood up, grabbed Fritzi’s face, and sealed her lips with his.

Fritzi’s belly had started to swell. She didn’t want to bother Mr. Weston, but the old man insisted on letting her move into the house immediately, so he could hire some nannies to take care of her before giving birth.
The house was filled with maids and security guards as if some big figures were visiting.
Drew sat across Fritzi with an anxious look on his face, “Actually… Grandpa means no harm. Please don’t overthink it, Fritzi.”
After living in this big house for a couple of weeks, Fritzi felt like a prisoner.
“Does your grandpa even need me to think?” Fritzi huffed. She didn’t even have the freedom to leave the door.
Drew shot up from his seat immediately, “You wait for a sec.” With that, her husband just left the room.
Fritzi heard an intense argument downstairs a couple of minutes later.
The result suited Fritzi’s wish pretty well. All the guards, maids, and nannies were cast away in the end.
Mr. Weston was quite mad, and he went to Franco’s house to seek some comfort from his old friend.
Drew ran all the way upstairs, smiling at Fritzi, “See? They just left. Where do you go? I can take you wherever you wanna go, sweetie.”
Fritzi shook her head, “Not in the mood anymore. I want to take a nap. I felt exhausted.”
“Of course,” Drew smiled sweetly, “Do you wanna have some desserts when you wake up? I can inform the kitchen, so you will have freshly baked cookies when you wake up.”
Fritzi was a bit hungry this time, and she had a craving for tomato turmeric chicken. She mentioned it to him, and Drew went to the kitchen happily.
His biggest fear recently was that Fritzi wouldn’t eat something while her belly got big.
Everything would be fine as long as she ate something their chef would prepare.

Frank and Claire’s wedding was held two weeks later in their hometown. All the friends and relatives had shown up to send them congratulations. Fritzi had been a friend of Claire, so she was present during the wedding.
Cristelle thus arranged their private jet, so they could get there sooner. Fritzi’s belly was getting bigger recently. Taking conventional means of transportation would probably exhaust her.
However, right before they took the jet, Drew suddenly got a call. The person on the other side of the line sounded urgent, “What? Car accident? You mean… Where is she? Is she in danger? Okay. Okay, I’m on my way.”
“What’s wrong?” Fritzi glanced at Drew, brows furrowed.
Drew pulled a face, “Cindy had a car accident. It’s pretty serious. I need to check it out.”
Fritzi’s heart sank after hearing that name, but she was still smiling before them,”
“It’s okay. Just go now. She probably needed your help.”
Drew cleared his throat, “Can the jet wait?”
“No!” Cristelle snapped, “We won’t wait for you. The wedding is gonna begin soon.”
Drew sighed before he turned to face Fritzi, “It seems like we can only take another flight when we arrive there.”
Fritzi blinked, “What? We?” She was a bit confused.
“You’re not coming with me?” Drew looked at Fritzi seriously.
Fritzi and Cristelle only realized what they were dealing with at this moment.
Fritzi blushed and looked away. Cristelle cleared her throat, “Of course, she’s gonna go with you. Guess we can wait for a couple of minutes for you both. Just go now. Actually… we will all go with you today.”
Linford arched an eyebrow. When did his wife become so smart and flexible? She seldom paved when it comes to him. This is so unfair!
So, the group of people left the jet and went to the hospital, where Cindy was brought.
Cindy did have a car accident. Her legs were slightly injured, and she had a couple of scrapes on her face. It was not as serious as the caller described it.
“Doctor… I’m so sorry. You know you’re my only friend in this city, and you’re the only person who would help me.” Cindy looked vulnerable in the bed, “I really have no one to turn to except you. I’m so grateful you arrived quickly.”
Cristelle and Fritzi could see very clearly from the crack of the door. Cindy claimed that she had a car accident, but she still managed to put some makeup on her face.
Cristelle resisted the urge to roll her eyes.
“It’s okay… I’ve talked to your doctor, and he promised that he would take care of you,” Drew attempted to leave after saying those words. Her injuries were not even half as serious as what the caller told him on the phone.
How could she lie so easily? Drew secretly clenched his fists, annoyed after seeing her current state, but he would never yell at a patient.
Cindy tried to stop him, “Doctor! Could you stay with me for a bit? I really… really need someone to talk to me…. I feel awful. I feel upset and worn out.”
“Sorry. But my wife also needs me. I don’t really have much time for you,” Drew frowned, “Cindy, I hope we can still talk like before. We’ve always been friends, right? I like you, but not in any romantic way you wanted. My wedding is gonna be held soon, and I don’t want my fiance to hold a grudge against me.”
Cindy’s tears rolled down her cheeks, “Are… are you gonna marry Fritzi? Do you really love her?”
“Yes. I proposed to her, and she said yes,” Drew arched an eyebrow, “She’s beautiful… She’s a designer, and her family is wealthier than mine.”
Cindy couldn’t even spit out a coherent sentence.
“You’re also a pretty woman, and you’re an amazing dancer. It’s never about how much money you have or how beautiful you are. Fritzi absolutely occupied a big part of my heart. She’s the one and only in my life,” Drew sounded serious, “Besides, I really don’t like being manipulated by anybody. Do you understand?”
Drew sighed as the room fell silent. He turned around and walked toward the door.
“Doctor! Doctor!” Cindy forced out a smile, “You… You took it wrong. I’ve never tried dating you. I just…”
Drew shook his head, “I’m sorry if I took anything wrong. But I really need to be with my fiancee now. I don’t want any unnecessary misunderstandings. So please try not to contact me so frequently next time.”
With that, the doctor just walked out of the door.
Fritzi went blushing. Cristelle, however, was pleased after hearing about Drew’s boldness.
She thought Cindy would learn to behave herself after Drew put a line between their friendship.
They went happily to their hometown and celebrated Frank and Claire’s wedding.
