Franco also expected that, “You don’t need to worry about Enzo now. The Weston family would also help him. As for your father, I will take care of him.”
“You’re fooling yourself right now, Pop. I can’t accept your decision. And no one can stop me from fighting for my family,” Linford walked out of the door, not wanting to waste his time there anymore.
Franco sighed, slumping into his chair.
Linford went to Enzo’s place early the next morning. The babies were left to Alfred and Lily to take care of.
Alfred drove the babies to Candace’s dance studio.
“You have a lot of time today, Alfred?” Candace asked in the backseat.
Alfred smiled, “Yep. I’ll take you guys to have a big meal after class. Sounds cool?”
“Yes!” Candace was so happy.
Cody, however, didn’t say anything.
Alfred knew the boy was like this all the time. He thus didn’t ask anything.
Candace went to the bathroom after the class was over. Cody was waiting outside when she came out. The boy grabbed his sister’s wrist and took her out of the studio when she walked to him.
“Cody? Where are we going?” Candace was so confused.
Cody pulled a face, “Stop asking anything, Candace. Just follow me.”
Candace was so confused, but she always trusted her brother.
When they went to the corner of the street, a taxi was already waiting there.
Cody uttered an address, telling the driver to drive.
The driver was quite suspicious, “You two are too little to come out by yourself. Where’s your Mom? Did you go missing? Do you want me to send you to the police?”
“You don’t have to, Sir. My parents are waiting for us at that address. Just send us there; you don’t need to ask anything.”
Cody thrust a couple of bills into that man’s hand.
The driver thus stopped asking anything. He started the car and tried to remember the babies’ features through the rearview mirror.
If the police were gonna ask him, at least he would remember what the babies look like.
The taxi arrived at the place Cody mentioned very fast. Candace followed her brother and got out of the car. They went to a cheap motel, which didn’t confirm its guests’ identities by checking out their driving licenses. Candace was still scared as Cody locked the door of their room.
“Co-Cody? Why are we here? It’s getting so dark outside. Aren’t we going back home now?”
Cody took out two loaves of bread from his little backpack, “We won’t go back to their house, Candace. Don’t call that place’ home’ again. It’s not our home.”
Candace took the loaf, but she didn’t eat it. She sounded like she was about to cry, “Why? You don’t want Mommy or Daddy anymore?”
Cody sighed, “Well, to be honest, Dad has had a child with another woman. They kicked Mom out of their house so Linford Bradley could marry that woman. Why should we go back now that Mom is not living in that house anymore?”
Candace’s eyes widened, “How-How is it even possible? Mom and Dad are about to get married.”
“I heard it from the doctor. Lana White’s pregnant with Dad’s baby. When the baby is born, Dad won’t love you anymore. He will love the smaller one,” Cody explained calmly.
Candace sniffed, and her tears rolled down, “Is this true?”
Cody pulled his sister in his little arms, nodding heavily, “Mommy has been away for days. She would at least call if she were really on a business trip. She’s not on a business strip. She was kicked out. They will abandon us soon as well.”
“What about Pop? He doesn’t want us anymore as well?” Candace’s tears stream down.
“Pop, Grandpa, Dad… None of them want us anymore. They only want Lana’s baby. Stop crying, Candace. We still have Mom. I’ll take you to find Mom,” Cody was determined.
Candace tried to be strong, but she still couldn’t stop crying. She had always wanted a Dad. Now she finally found her Dad, but she needed to leave him behind.
Candace buried her face into Cody’s small chest, her cry muffled, “I miss Mom. I miss her so much!”
Cody’s eyes also went red, “Don’t cry, Candace. We will see her tomorrow. You must follow me very closely when we leave this motel room tomorrow, okay?”
Candace nodded, “O-okay. But can we find her really fast?”
“Okay. We will leave this city after we find Mom,” Cody swore, “And I will protect you and Mom.”
Candace couldn’t stop crying as she thought that she would never be able to see her Dad again. But she would never break any promises between Cody and herself.

The Bradley House was a mess at the moment.
Linford sent out all his men, and Enzo almost sent out his troops. Franco was gonna have a heart attack. Mr. Weston thus went upstairs to take care of him.
Lily looked like she could have a meltdown at any time, but she still clenched her teeth and tried to be tough.
She knew this was not the right time to be vulnerable.
Linford’s men finally brought back a piece of information. They finally made sure of the babies’ location right now.
Linford went pale as he realized that Candace and Cody were in another town right now.
This was too dangerous. God only knew what would happen to them if they got there late.
Linford told Alfred to prepare the car, driving to that town without any hesitation.
They couldn’t stop discussing why the babies decided to run away in the car. Lily knew something must have gone wrong. Drew thus explained to her the things that had happened lately.
Lily got so pissed off after hearing the reason, “The White House has always been a filthy bunch! They did the same thing to Clyde, and now they are doing this to you, Linford! Why are these White women so shameless? Can’t they find any men for themselves? Why do they just keep hurling themselves at the Bradley men? I knew that Lana was up for no good from the beginning! That shameless bitch! She must have played some tricks to manipulate the result! I hate her so much!” Lily was worried about the babies too much that she didn’t even care about the words coming out of her mouth.
Linford didn’t say anything as he looked out of the window. He knew Lily was being irrational, but he had to admit the White House was filled with a bunch of disgusting people.
When they finally arrived at the town, it was already dawn. It took them a while to finally find the motel. The owner of the motel was a beautiful woman in her 30s.
Her eyes widened the moment she saw Linford Bradley. Her humble motel had never welcomed any big figures like him.
