Drew sighed, “Alright.. Okay… Let’s go out and play some games, okay?”
Cody was in a rocky mood, but he didn’t want Candace to share that with him. So he nodded, “Okay, sounds cool.”
And then, he jumped off the chair and took Candace to the play center in the mall.

Meanwhile, in the Lim house, Noah stared at the news report as his mouth fell open. Jasper was the firstborn of the Johnson family, and now he had just died tragically.
He thought about what had happened before and realized that Cristelle and the Bradley family were inseparable now.
If he hadn’t handled those things well, he would probably have ended up just like Jasper.
It was only wise that he and his family never went back to Blue Field City.
Diego was also frozen when he heard the news. Jasper was dead?
When did that happen? And how the heck did that happen?
Did his death have anything to do with Linford? That man was vicious. Would he also harm Cristelle?
“He deserved it!” Pamela was drinking from her cup of coffee, her face sour and mean, “He should have stayed in his family and been his rich boy life. But he just had to be with Cristelle’s white knight. He didn’t even know that woman was a jinx. That’s why he ended up losing his life.”
“Diego… sugar,” She passed her cup to Diego. Diego put a lot of sugar in it and passed it back, “Enjoy your coffee.”
“Okay,” Pamela smiled sweetly, feeling secretly happy.
Diego knew this woman was saying this on purpose. But he chose to play dumb as he lowered his head to scroll down his phone.
He knew Pamela was hinting that if he didn’t leave the city, he would also end up like Jasper. But he didn’t mind.
He had a more important thing to do right now.

Linford held Cristelle in his arms and had a sweet nap. He didn’t wake up until the knock on his door sounded.
“I think they’re back,” Cristelle tried to prop herself up in the bed, but she felt something sticking behind her ass at the moment, going frozen.
“What the hell, Linford? It’s broad daylight!” Cristelle hissed.
Linford smiled, “Sorry. But it’s not like I can control it, is it?”
“Asshole!” Cristelle jumped off the bed and fixed her shirt, going to open the door.
“Mommy, did you sleep? You took so long to open the door,” Candace pouted as she held an armful of plushies and gifts, seeming mildly pissed off.
Before Cristelle could say anything, Linford suddenly cut in, “Yep. Your Mommy and I had a great nap.”
Cody shook his head, knowing the man was showing off right now.
“Geez! Why do we have so many plushies here?” Cristelle crouched down and asked.
Candace put the plushies on the couch, “Cody caught them in that machine in the mall.”
Drew sat down and poured himself a glass of water, “Cody is an expert.”
“Dad, these plushies are all for you,” Candace grabbed a couple of plushies and put them on Linford’s blanket.
Linford smiled as he cast a look at the boy, who was standing near the door coolly. “Great! Thanks, Candace and Cody.”
“But Candace probably still needs to go to the dance studio tomorrow,” Cristelle was a bit worried, “I don’t think I can just leave Linford here alone.”
Cody cleared his throat, “I will send her to the studio.”
Drew smiled, “I know you’re a genius, boy. But I doubt you’re old enough to have a driver’s license. It’s okay, Cristelle. I’ll take the little girl to the dance studio. You just stay here to take care of the boss, man.”
Cristelle blushed, “That’s so nice of you, Doc.”
Drew laughed, “Don’t be a stranger, Cristelle, Linford’s basically a brother, and you’re my sister-in-law right now. I’m glad to help you guys.”
Hearing Drew’s words, Cristelle’s cheek turned red.

After Cody and Candace went back, Linford asked Alfred to get everything Cristelle would need for herself. It seemed like he was determined to let Cristelle live in this place longer.
“Why are you taking all my stuff here? How long do you want to stay in the hospital exactly?” Cristelle frowned.
“As long as I prefer,” Linford smiled. The babies wouldn’t interrupt them in this private ward. Staying here actually had more freedom.
“That’s very grown-up of you,” Cristelle shook her head and went to fold his clothes, “Just get better as fast as possible, okay? I don’t want to see you being sick all the time.”
Linford stretched in the bed, “Okay, Mrs. Bradley.”
Cristelle’s hands faltered and went blushed again.
Linford pulled her into the bed all of a sudden, smiling, “You know you’re quite delicious when you blush?”
Cristelle wanted to push him away, but she didn’t want to make him strain his wounds again. So she didn’t even dare to move that much.
Linford must also know the fact. Now he was smiling down at her, kissing her ears and neck.
This man was so freaking sneaky!

Lana was sitting in the pub alone. She was drinking her glass of tequila sitting beside the bar. A couple of men tried to make their advances.
“Can I buy a drink for you, gorgeous?” A tall man asked as he leaned over the table, smiling a full-teeth smile.
“Can you fuck off?” Lana didn’t even bother to look up.
That man, however, didn’t seem offended, “You’re really drunk now, kitten.”
Lana ignored him, but that man didn’t walk away. Instead, his hand was on Lana’s thigh. Lana instantly poured her cup of tequila onto his face.
“You bitch!” That man raised his fist at her.
However, before he could do anything, a person went forward and kicked at that man’s stomach, causing him to roll on the ground in pain.
“Ow! fuck!”
The music died, and all the eyes were on Lana.
“Miss, your grandma has been looking for you. It’s time to go back.”
Lana sat back in her tall chair, “I’m not going back.”
“Miss, your grandma said if you don’t go back right now, she will… Well, she will send you back abroad immediately.”
