Cristelle tried to pull away gently, but she heard Linford’s husky voice the next second.
“Good morning, gorgeous,” His musky scent was strong before her.
More than that, Linford pulled her in further. She could feel the heat emanating from his muscled body and that thing.
Cristelle took a deep breath, pretending she was completely unaware of that, “How… How are you feeling? Is it still painful? Your wounds.”
Linford shook his head as he left a kiss on her cheek, “I feel so much better.”
“It’s. It’s getting cold,” Cristelle stuttered, “You probably should put some clothes on.”
“Can’t move,” Linford pretended to be fragile and weak, “My poor shoulder. Could you put some clothes on me?”
Cristelle went furiously red, “Okay. I guess.”
Linford smiled and leaned forward, rolling Cristelle around so he could press his lips against hers.
His cock was hot and throbbing against her thigh. Cristelle gasped as she felt his hand slip under her bra.
“Lin-Linford.” Cristelle whimpered. She blushed the minute she heard her voice because it sounded like a moan despite her intention to stop him.
“Ssh… honey,” Linford rasped against her ear, his voice thick with desire, “I’m sorry. But I really need this.”
The kiss was hungry compared to the ones Linford gave her before. Cristelle felt his cock between her thighs as he slowly rubbed back and forth against her most private area.
Cristelle’s face was furiously red as she felt the wetness down there. Her nails dug into his wide shoulders as he moved slowly, panting heavily as he kissed her.
It took Linford forever to release.
As soon as he was down, Cristelle pulled away instantly and threw a pillow at his face.
“Ow.” Linford groaned, but he was smiling at her.
“You fucking asshole!” Cristelle screamed, her face still red, “Stop smiling! You’re ugly!”
“I’m sorry for being so ugly.” Linford chuckled, not seeming sorry at all.
Cristelle threw another pillow at him, stomping out of the door. She knew it! She knew he was up for no good!
This man was as cunning as a fox! He must have planned it all since the moment she went to visit him last night. She shouldn’t have let her guard down in the first place.
Cristelle slammed the bathroom door behind her back and leaned against it, trying to catch her breath.

“Mom, did you sleep in Dad’s room last night?” Candace asked innocently when Cristelle came out to have breakfast. Cristelle almost choked on her milk.
She coughed awkwardly, “Yes, sweetie. Daddy didn’t feel well last night, so I went to his room to take care of him.”
Franco and Drew exchanged a knowing look.
“Where-where’s Cody?” Cristelle raised her cup of coffee, trying to brush off the awkwardness.
“Cody’s still in his room,” Drew took off a small piece of bread and threw it into his mouth, “He’s gonna come down soon.”
“Good morning.” Cody’s voice suddenly sounded by the staircase. Cristelle looked in that direction and saw Cody standing there.
The boy held his gaze for a while silently.
“Good morning, honey,” For some reason, Cristelle felt extremely guilty to face Cody again after spending last night in Linford’s room.
She really didn’t want to hear Cody cry again.
However, the boy suddenly cast a look at Drew before turning to look at Cristelle, “How’s Dad now? Is he feeling better now?”
Dad? Cody’s calling Linford, dad?
Cristelle’s mouth fell open. She thought she heard it wrong.
“Drew said he had dealt with his wounds. But he had a fever last night. So…” Cody tailed off.
Cody was really calling Linford “Dad” now. Cristelle’s eyes lit up, her voice was cheerful, “Of course, honey. Your dad is getting so much better. Why don’t you get in his room and take a look at him?”
“Okay,” Cody nodded and turned away, walking upstairs.
Apart from Cristelle, Franco was probably the most excited one. He was smiling the whole time that his face wrinkled.
“This is wonderful,” Pop laughed, “This is wonderful indeed.”
Cristelle went back to her room with Candace after breakfast. At this moment, however, the doorbell suddenly rang. Lily went to open the door.
Lana walked in hastily. “Where’s Linford?”
Lily frowned as she took a step back, “Miss White? Mr. Bradley is in his room right now.”
“I heard he had a small surgery last night.” Lana mentioned as she took off her coat, “I just want to check out on him.”
Lily stood in her way, her voice tough, “Miss White, Mr. Bradley already has a wife. I don’t think it’s appropriate for you to walk around in his room when he’s still naked.”
Lana’s face cracked, “Wh-what do you mean, Lily? I’m just worried about him. I don’t hold other weird thoughts.”
“Well, that would be nice, wouldn’t it? Mr. Bradley is going to the hospital with Mrs. Bradley soon. We don’t need extra help. You probably should go back now,” Lily didn’t mind being rude. She knew this Lana girl too well.
Lana looked upstairs and then looked at the couch. Franco was watching television, pretending he was unaware of anything happening over here.
Lana hummed slightly and whipped around, walking out of the room.
Drew and Linford were still in the bedroom upstairs. “Did you hear that? That girl will be a problem if you refuse to handle her any longer,” Drew smirked.
Linford was reading a file, “I know how to do that. You don’t need to teach me.”
“Well, I’m glad you know,” Drew shrugged.

The family went to the hospital after the small drama, which was Lana’s abrupt visit.
No one knew Lana was sitting in her car watching when they left their house. Lana was grabbing the steering wheel so tightly as her angry gaze bored into Cristelle’s delicate face.
How she wished she was the one who spent every day with Linford and took care of him! But that bitch just had to exist!

Linford went to his private ward again after doing the checkup. The doctor was pretty pissed off because he had sneaked back home without telling everyone.
Linford was now less worried since he had figured out Cristelle and Cody’s attitudes. He wouldn’t sneak back home anymore, deciding to get better for his wife and babies soon.
“The doctor said his condition is not that bad. But he still needs to spend a while in the hospital. You probably need to stay and take care of him more often in the hospital, Cristelle,” Drew mentioned.
Cristelle nodded, smiling, “No problem.”
