A few minutes later, she saw Darwin getting out of his car and walking towards the main door.
Why was he here?
Cristelle felt something was off. He must be here to cast her out of the city. He must want to take the babies away from her.
No!
She would never let that happen!
Cristelle went back to her bedroom and tried to get out. But people just ignored her as she rapped against the door.
“Let me out! Let me out!” She screamed. She couldn’t wait anymore. Or those people would definitely take away her babies.
“I’m sorry. You can’t get in,” the leader of the bodyguards stopped Darwin by the door.
Darwin pointed at the mansion, “I am your boss’s father! Get out of my way!”
The bodyguard shook his head, “You can’t get in without Mr. Bradley’s permission.”
“He’s my fucking son, and when do I need to get his permission to get in a Bradley mansion? Stay the fuck out of my way!” Darwin was determined to break in, but the bodyguard pushed him away.
“How dare you!” Darwin went red as he pulled a gun out of his belt and pointed it at the guard’s head, “Get. The. fuck. Away!”
Tanya jumped as she saw the gun through the window, “What is Darwin doing?!”
Clara stared at the main gate resentfully, “If Linford didn’t insist on protecting that woman. Darwin wouldn’t have to do this. Now, those people won’t even let Darwin get in. I wonder what will happen if Cristelle really becomes Linford’s wife one day.”
Tanya frowned. Cristelle is so spoiled right now. She couldn’t imagine what would happen if she really became Mrs. Bradley one day. She would probably step on her.
“Tanya, listen. This chance is rare. If we miss it out, we won’t be able to have a second chance in the future. Grandpa must also want us to take care of the babies this time,” Clara analyzed.
Tanya nodded eagerly. If she could have the babies, the babies would definitely be her bargaining chip in the future.

Meanwhile, the bodyguard pulled out a gun as well, pointing at Darwin ruthlessly, “Mr. Bradley, you’re not the only one who has a gun. In fact, every bodyguard in this place has a gun. So, you probably need to think about it very carefully if you don’t want anyone to get hurt. We’re paid to secure Miss Friesley’s safety, and you’re breaking into private property. I believe you also don’t want to push it too far, do you?”
Darwin went pale, swallowing as he saw other bodyguards also pull out their guns.
He spat and put his gun back, walking toward the car angrily. Linford was so determined to protect that woman that he even equipped his bodyguards with guns.
Was he out of his mind?
Clara and Tanya were a bit disappointed that Darwin didn’t get in, but they knew they would also be in danger if they started a gunfight.
Tanya went forward to comfort Darwin, “Let’s just go back, Darwin. Linford’s too stubborn.”
Darwin shook his head and asked the driver to go back. He hailed a taxi and went to the hospital again.
Tanya couldn’t persuade him, so she had to return to the car alone, “Did you see that? Linford would do anything to keep that woman safe. His attitude couldn’t be more clear. I don’t think we will have any chance now, Clara.”
Clara clenched her teeth, “I don’t think so. Wait until Pop gets to know that Linford used guns for that woman. Just wait and see, that woman will be doomed soon.”
Tanya could only shake her head. Linford was an ungiving person. If he did it, he would never regret it.
Linford’s love and protection over Cristelle drove Clara crazy. Her hands fisted up as her nails dug into her flesh. She was determined to make that woman disappear no matter what the price was.

When Darwin went to Candace’s ward, Lily was standing outside the door as if she’d been waiting for him, “Mr. Bradley, Linford is not here. Maybe you should go upstairs if you want to see him.”
Darwin shot Lily a cold look and went toward the elevator.
Pop was still lying in his bed when Linford and Mr. Weston sat beside his bed, trying to talk with him. Franco had been in shock earlier, but now he finally felt better.
“Linford Bradley! You little bastard! Get out right now!” Darwin bellowed as he kicked the door open.
The two old men were both startled. Pop’s face went pale. His heart almost jumped out of his chest.
Mr. Weston shot up from his seat, snapping, “What the heck, Darwin?! Are you trying to get your old man killed?!”
Darwin was so pissed off as he pointed one finger at Linford, “It is all that little bastard’s fault! He made me do this!”
Pop was coughing his lungs out, one shaky finger pointing at his son, “Get the hell out of here, Darwin!”
“Pop’s just recovered, but you burst in like a madman. If people don’t know better, they would think that you actually wanted to….”
Linford swallowed the last half of his sentence back. Everyone knew what he was hinting at.
“You little shit! It’s all because of you! How dare you to….”
“Great. Just keep yelling in this ward as if Pop can take more,” Linford pulled a face.
Darwin cast a look at his father before turning toward Linford angrily, “You know your grandpa is not in good condition, and you still decided to seek his help here?”
Franco was covering his chest with one hand, “I asked Linford to come here. Do you have any problem with that?”
Darwin went red, falling silent instantly.
“Quite interesting, this son of yours,” Mr. Weston sniffed.
“Linford, get out now. I need to talk to you,” Darwin gloomily said before he walked out of the ward.
Linford smiled as he bent over to comfort his grandpa, “Pop, don’t get mad because of him. It’s not worth it.”
Mr. Weston got curious, frowning, “What happened between you and your father again, Linford? He’s still your father, no matter what. You can’t just treat him like this. You would regret it if he got sick because you tried to piss him off all the time.”
