Tanya smiled from ear to ear, “It’s not like a big favor. Besides, our houses have been quite close. I’m just glad to help.”
Mary sighed, “You’re probably the kindest person among all the other people, Tanya. If we didn’t get that plot of land, we wouldn’t be able to stay in the city.”
Tanya hurried to say, “Why would you guys end up like that? You’re worried about too many things, Mary. Just leave the business to the men.”
The Wayne house was on the verge of going bankrupt. But Mary was still clad in luxurious clothes. Tanya knew they would fall sooner or later.
Mary didn’t stay too long. She didn’t want to be seen by Darwin. Or Tanya would be scolded again.
Clara walked into the mansion after Mary left.
“Tanya, you really should stay out of Wayne’s business. My grandma even said she wouldn’t have any connection with them anymore.”
Tanya rolled her eyes. She got benefits by helping Wayne. She didn’t see it as inappropriate, “Why? I’m not helping them to rebuild their business empire. It’s just a patch of land. Geez, Clara, you’re being way too serious.”
Clara knew she wouldn’t listen if she got their money. So she changed the topic, “Candace’s staying in Franco’s place right now. Should we go visit Pop from time to time? I mean… you can take your cousin with us. So he can take a look at Candace’s illness.”
“You’re right,” Tanya suddenly remembered Peter. They had tried so hard to make Peter work at the babies’ kindergarten. But the babies had taken a break from school after Peter got there. He hadn’t even managed to see the girl that often.
Now that Candace was staying with Franco, they could finally send Peter there again.
“I think we should go there right now,” Tanya took off the diamond bracelet from her wrist and tidied herself up.
One hour later, Tanya and Clara showed up before Franco’s mansion, Peter following.

Meanwhile, Candace was taking a rest after finishing practicing calligraphy. She still had a dance class later.
When Clara and Tanya arrived, Mr. Weston decided to go, giving up the idea of having lunch here. He didn’t like too much noise.
Franco knew his old friend’s temper, so he didn’t keep him.
“Why are you guys here?” Franco asked. He didn’t seem quite happy seeing the two women.
Tanya smiled, “We decided to take a look here after knowing Candace had dance classes here. Candace, look, Grandma just brought you some freshly baked pie. You will love it.”
Candace inhaled its fragrance, but she knew she shouldn’t eat them because she still had a dance class later. So she shook her head.
Tanya didn’t expect the girl to turn her down. She was slightly pissed off, but she still managed to smile, “Why wouldn’t you eat these, Candace? You don’t like desserts Nana made especially for you?”
Candace shook her head, trying to explain that she still had a dance class.
Clara hated this girl so much. Because she looked exactly like a mini version of Cristelle, but she still managed to smile warmly, “Good for you, Candace. Can you turn down desserts for your dance career? That’s really impressive.”
Kids had pure minds, but they also got sharp intuitions. Candace always thought this aunt-in-law of hers was a bit scary. She didn’t even want to get near her, so she only nodded with a timid smile on her face.
Clara pulled at Peter’s sleeve, “Look who I brought here with us today.”
Candace recognized Peter immediately. She ran toward the young man and gave him a big smile. Why was Peter here today?
Peter had only taught in their school for a couple of days. However, he was as popular as Joe among the students.
Peter was quite young. And he was tall and handsome. A lot of children loved to be around him. He crouched down and whisked a rose out of thin air and gave it to Candace. Candace was smiling and clapping as Peter did another magic trick.
Clara and Tanya exchanged a look. Franco also seemed satisfied with this young man.
“Dad, Peter is actually a professional pianist. Why don’t you let Candace learn from him?” Tanya suggested.
Candace’s piano lessons had also been coached by Cindy. Peter seemed like a great teacher; besides, he was also a psychologist. The girl seemed to like him. Franco thus nodded.
Clara and Tanya stayed for lunch today.

“Cristelle, we probably need to do a photo shoot for a magazine this afternoon. The models will be here in the afternoon. Micky and Donny will be your assistants,” Fritzi tried to lay out their work schedule for the next couple of days during the meeting. She was gonna be on a business trip soon, “I won’t be here for the entire week. Could you lead the team for me, Cristelle?”
“Of course,” Cristelle promised.
The famous director Marcus and a couple of A-list male models in the industry arrived at 3.
When Cristelle saw one of those models, she couldn’t help frowning, “Jasper? What the heck are you doing here?”
Jasper was smiling widely, “I’m here for the shooting. Remember my ambitions? Entering the fashion industry is just my first step.”
“Why do you have to choose this magazine? I believe there are better options,” Cristelle said coldly.
Jasper sighed, “Cristelle, you’ve made yourself very clear, and I respect your choice. But can’t we even be friends now?”
Cristelle couldn’t answer his question.
He should keep his distance if he only wanted to be her friend. Why did he have to approach her?
She didn’t say anything anymore as she turned away, trying to find the clothes for him. Jasper had a perfect body. All the garments looked perfect on him.
When Linford stepped into the company studio, his eyes fixed on Cristelle and Jasper instantly. His eyes darkened. Did that man lose his limbs? Why did Cristelle have to dress him? Did other people die? Why couldn’t they do that for her?
“Mr. Bradley?” Micky was pushing a rack of clothes in when she saw the boss of the company. The studio fell into silence as all the eyes instantly fixed on Linford.
