“No, Sir. You had dessert tonight. Don’t assume I didn’t see that. The meds are a must.” Jack shook his head.
Franco wasn’t allowed to have any desserts. Candace thought being unable to have desserts was the saddest thing in the world. So she had given her Pop a piece of cake when nobody was watching. Franco had eaten the piece of cake as fast as he could.
Now, being found out by his own assistant, Franco didn’t seem to be very embarrassed, “Candace is such a sweetheart. By the way, Linford, we should find a proper psychologist for the girl. She can’t be forever silent for the rest of her life. She needed to be cured soon.”
Linford didn’t let go of Franco’s arm, but his voice was cold, “Candace’s not sick. We don’t need other psychologists. Drew and his Mom are enough for her.”
Franco seemed to be worried, “But she can’t talk. I’m just worried that…”
“Pop, Candace can talk. She just doesn’t want to. I’ll take care of her. You don’t need to worry about this matter,” Linford cut him off. “One day, she will also call you ‘Pop’.”
Franco could only give up the idea seeing Linford being so stubborn, “Well then, I won’t try to find a shrink then.”
Linford took the old man back to the main house. Jack went to fetch the meds. Franco suddenly noticed the set of crystal glasses on the table, frowning, “Who sent this?”
A nanny of the mansion, Lily, walked in, “It’s a gift from Tanya, sir.”
“Did Darwin also come?” Franco asked immediately.
Lily shook her head, “No, only Tanya and Clara came here. Mr. Bradley didn’t come along with them. I told them that you had gone away for a while. They waited for a couple of hours but decided to leave when you hadn’t come home.”
“I see. Did they say why they were here?” Franco knew the two women. They only come when they have some important matter to ask him. And sometimes, they would visit to show everyone that they cared about him. But they never truly did.
Why would they come here today?
Lily cast a glance at Linford. She didn’t dare to tell the truth, “Nothing. They just came to pay you a visit, Sir.”
Franco thus didn’t think about it, “Well, keep that set of glasses and tell them that they don’t need to visit very often. I’m still in good health. They needn’t worry about me.”
Lily nodded and took the whole set away.
Linford talked with his Pop for a while. He didn’t leave until the old man went to bed.
He knew Franco felt lonely living in this huge mansion alone.
Before he left, however, Franco pulled out a box. When he opened it, Linford saw three beautiful sapphire rings. Franco picked one among them and gave it to Linford, “Your Granny had them made before she passed away. She said these rings were for her future granddaughters-in-law. Now that you’ve found the love of your life, you should give this to her.”
Linford took it without any hesitation. When his eyes fell on the other two, an unspeakable sadness suddenly overtook him.
He stood up and held back his tears, leaving the room.
“Linford, you haven’t driven for a while. Be careful on the road.”
Linford smiled at him, “Don’t worry, Pop, I’ll be fine.”
Franco nodded, sending Jack, “Jack, go walk Linford out.”
Jack nodded and followed Linford immediately.
“Jack, you need to be really careful lately. Just call me whenever there’s an incident. That Lily, you must make her stay away from Pop as far as possible.”
Lily was clearly Tanya’s eyes and ears. Linford didn’t expose his thoughts because he knew if he fired Lily, Tanya would get in another one.
At least he knew who this one was. As for why Tanya and Clara visited today, they probably got to know that he was going to destroy the Wayne house, so they came to ask his grandpa to stop him. They were quite smart.
But he had made up his mind, and no one could stop him.
Jack knew what Linford was thinking, “Sir, you don’t need to worry. As long as I’m still here, I’ll make sure you’re grandpa’s safe.”
Linford smiled at the old man and left.

Linford sent the babies to school the following day. After that, he went to his company directly.
Linford fulfilled his promises. Since last afternoon, he had withdrawn all the investments from the Wayne Group, halting all the cooperation. Alfred was the one who was sent to do that.
Meanwhile, Fritzi was quite satisfied with Cristelle’s draft, “Good job, hon. I bet our client will love it.”
Cristelle felt much more relaxed after getting the confirmation.
“Hey, by the way, do you know that Mr. and Mrs. Wayne came this morning to beg for mercy from Mr. Bradley? They pled to continue the cooperation with our company,” Fritzi said in a low voice.
Cristelle didn’t seem like she cared as she continued to do her job, “I don’t know things about business.”
She was clearly running away from the issue. Fritzi thought for a while and took out her phone, searching for a video clip on the internet, “Let me show you something.”
Cristelle didn’t want to watch it, but she also didn’t want to be rude. Fritzi clicked the video that was uploaded by those on-lookers taken in the grocery store. It played immediately.
“My woman doesn’t need to balance things. She just needs to be taken care of by me. Suppose you want to busy yourself with that stupid stuff, fine. Just don’t use it to bother her,” Linford announced it clearly.
Fritzi scrolled down to the comment section, reading them one by one.
-Gosh, he’s so perfect.
-I wish my husband was like that.
-He’s a walking dream.
-That woman had to save the whole human race in her previous life to get such a great man.
“See? This video went viral,” Fritzi smiled, “Mr. Bradley is quite low-key all the time. You know he has the power to delete this video if he wants to, but he didn’t do it. He just let it circulate like wildfire. He just can’t wait to tell the whole world that you’re his wife.”
