That guy looked up, trying to get Linford. But Cody pulled the trigger before he could. Linford rolled aside in a fluid motion, shielding himself behind a wall.
The enemy went furious. He was sure Linford didn’t have any bullets left. So he went to chase after Linford, firing his gun all the time.
However, a bullet suddenly hit him from behind. He turned around and saw Cody. The boy was still holding his gun, aiming at him with one eye squeezed shut.
“Good job,” Linford jumped off from a wall and pulled Cody in his arms.
“I know,” Cody smiled smugly.
He suddenly remembered something as he said to Linford, “That man we just struck out looks quite familiar.”
“Really?” Linford asked, “Who is he?”
Cody narrowed his eyes as he tried to recall that man’s face, “I don’t know… But he looks so familiar.”
Linford smiled as he cast a glance at the corner, “You don’t need to worry about him. He’s a loser anyway.”
Linford knew Diego had been following them all day. To be honest, Linford didn’t mind it at all.
He knew Diego would never get what he wanted from Cristelle.
In the corner of the war zone, Diego wiped his face with one hand, hammering the wall with his fist. He had been so close to winning the game, but he still fell for Bradley’s trick.
Diego couldn’t believe it. He was determined to get the things he lost back.
Candace clapped as she saw her dad and brother. She thought they were the best in the world.
Cody wanted to hug Cristelle, but Linford stopped him, “You’re covered by sweat now.”
Cody huffed and looked away, showing no intention of letting Cristelle carry him anymore. He was a bit tired. He needed someone to carry him back. Linford smiled as he suddenly crouched down, carrying the boy with one arm.
Cody was a bit reluctant. But he somehow didn’t protest today.
“You must be so tired now.” In the car, Cristelle was wiping Cody’s face with a wet towel, ignoring Linford completely.
Candace found a towel before handing her dad a bottle of water. Linford smiled warmly at his little princess. The car drove toward the street Cristelle had visited the day before.
Cristelle frowned. Why did he stop the car here? Had he sent someone to follow her yesterday?
Cristelle got a bit angry thinking of that. This man was too powerful. She constantly felt she was watched.
They got out of the car, and Linford led them to the teahouse Cristelle had visited yesterday. The owner of the teahouse was smiling, “Mr. Bradley, you’re finally here. I’ve prepared dinner for you guys.”
Cristelle’s eyes widened in surprise, “When did they get to know each other?”
Linford just shrugged his shoulders.
Candace and Cody had been running around all day. They were already starving. They sat down by the table, jamming food into their mouths with forks.
Cristelle wiped their mouths with a napkin, smiling as she looked out of the window. The food in this place was so tasty. And the view was also superior.
She couldn’t find Claire this time, but she enjoyed her stay. Candace even dared to go to a theme park now. It could be considered huge progress.
Cody and Candace fell asleep in the car on their way back to the hotel. Cristelle put the babies on the bed before asking Linford to leave. They didn’t need to share the same room tonight.
Linford looked at his daughter, who was soundly sleeping, nodding reluctantly before leaving the room.
Cristelle took a shower and climbed onto the bed. She slept so well that she didn’t even wake up at 9 the next morning.
Cody was the one who woke her up. Cristelle went blushing as she saw that the breakfast had been prepared.
“Mommy, we have to go back after breakfast. Candace and I still have to go to school tomorrow,” the boy suggested.
Cristelle nodded as she ate her sandwich.
After tidying everything up, the family of four got in their car and drove toward Linford’s mansion in the city. A private jet was parked inside his garden.
Cristelle stared at the massive machine in bewilderment. She had been wondering how did Linford arrived here so fast.
She couldn’t understand these rich people.

Meanwhile, in the mansion of the Bradley family, Darwin thudded his coffee cup against the table, “This is bullshit! He doesn’t even know if the babies are really his. I asked him to bring the babies here, but his phone has been switched off all the time. It’s all over the news now. How humiliating this situation was.”
Tanya tried to calm him down, “Don’t be mad at him. Linford probably has his own idea.”
“What idea? Shouldn’t he bring the babies back if they are really Bradley’s?” Darwin snapped angrily.
Linford was Darwin’s youngest son. He always tended to be a bit rebellious. Darwin didn’t know why, but he and Linford could never get along.
Tanya sighed, “A couple of days ago, Father sent Clara to look for Linford. He said he really wanted to see the babies. But Clara didn’t even manage to see the kids.”
“I’ve been wondering why. But this morning, I just saw Linford and the babies on the news. They have already left the city.”
“How could he be so wayward? Jack, could you go to Linford’s company? Tell him that he doesn’t need to come back next time if he refuses to bring the babies with him.” Darwin was furious.
Clara stood up from the sofa, “Let me go to the company with Jack, father. Maybe he will listen to me.”
Darwin nodded, “Okay, just go with Jack Remember to tell him what I said.”
Alfred walked forth when Linford stepped off his car, “Sir, Jack, and your brother’s wife just came.”
“Okay,” Linford nodded. He had expected this to happen.
Walking into his office, Linford saw Jack and Clara sitting on the couch. They stood up at the same time as they spotted him.
“Linford.” Clara smiled at him.
“Why are you guys here?” Linford asked coldly, ignoring Clara downright. Clara sat back, looking defeated.
