Yu Fei hopes that uncle is Ko Chen, but she dare not really think about it. The greater the hope is, the greater the disappointment will be, which she has understood countless times in this period of time. She takes a piece of chocolate from her bag and hands it to the little guy in front of her, “thank you.” The boy takes the chocolate, raises his right hand to Yu Fei with a standard posture, and his voice is loud and clear, “Mission accomplished.” Yu Fei is made to laugh by this little guy. Several other children come to play games with the boy. They run away happily, and without any worries they are in the most carefree and happy time.
Yu Fei stands in place for a long while, then slowly takes the cake and walks to the lake, finds a free bench to sit on, and carefully opens the outer package of the cake, then a strong sweet and greasy smell mixed with mango fragrance comes. Yu Fei can’t help closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, and she puts a piece of mango into her mouth with a fork. The unique mango sweetness diffuses in her mouth. Yu Fei didn’t feel hungry at first, but after eating such a piece, the hungry switch seems to be turned on suddenly, and her stomach purrs a few times, and she feels a little hungry.
She is satisfied to put several pieces of mango into her mouth one after another. Soon, she leaves behind the question of who is the owner of the cake. Unexpectedly, someone pats her shoulder from the back, which makes her hand shake. The mango on the fork falls to the ground and rolls twice, and gets stained with a layer of ash. “Did I scare you?” Gu Yi walks from the back of the bench to the front, pulls out a paper towel, wraps the mango and throws it into the garbage can. Then he comes back and sits down beside Yu Fei.
Yu Fei looks at Gu Yi in a daze and she doesn’t fully understand how he suddenly appears here. Her mouth is slightly open and is stained with a little cream, which is particularly conspicuous. Gu Yi leans forward, and Yu Fei is frightened by the sudden narrowing of the distance and she wants to retreat subconsciously. The man is faster than her, and he wipes off the cream of her mouth and smiles fondly, “you are about to be a mother, but still so confused, what if the baby is as confused as you.” Actually Yu Fei feels a little embarrassed because of the intimate action just now. Hearing Gu Yi laugh at herself, she immediately leaves the embarrassment away and argues defiantly, “if you didn’t scare me, how can I act like that.”
Yu Fei suddenly notices that Gu Yi is wearing a black suit today. Thinking of the boy’s description, she becomes suspicious and asks him, “how do you know I’m here? When did you come? ” Gu Yi doesn’t think much about it and directly replies, “I’ve been here for a while. There was no one in your home so I guess you’ve come here to relax.” Hearing that, Yu Fei is more suspicious. She points to the cake between them and asks him, “did you buy this?” Gu Yi doesn’t understand what Yu Fei means. His eyes twinkle, but he nods and says, “it’s me.”
Yu Fei, with the expression of “I knew it all along”, looks at Gu Yi, speechless, “you are too naive, why did you have to use such a mysterious way to buy a cake?” Gu Yi doesn’t know what Yu Fei is saying at all, but her expression on the face is watertight. He pushes his glasses and replies ambiguously, “I want to give you a surprise.” Yu Fei has no doubt about Gu Yi’s words. She takes it for granted that this cake was bought by Gu Yi, leaving her little expectation behind. It’s not Ko Chen. Yu Fei laughs bitterly and inserts a few times into the cake with a fork.
In fact, Ko Chen has not left, just walked a little farther, quietly watching Yu Fei in the dark. At the moment when he saw Gu Yi appear, he almost couldn’t help rushing up and knocking off his hand on Yu Fei’s shoulder. Having watched Yu Fei and Gu Yi talking happily and leaving with a smile, Ko Chen comes out of the dark place. His reason tells him it’s time to leave, but his legs are disobedient and he follows up. He has been following two people to the downstairs of a building, watching Gu Yi and Yu Fei go in and his feet seem to be nailed to the ground. He looks up and sees the lamp of Yufei’s house on.
The overwhelming jealousy almost drowns Ko Chen. His hands tremble uncontrollably and the veins on the back of his hands spring up. He even wants to go upstairs and takes Gu Yi out of Yu Fei’s house. However, his reason tells him that he can’t do this. Ko Chen suddenly feels a bit desolate. In the eyes of outsiders, he is the president of the Kos and the successor of the Ko’s family. He has a prominent status, a carefree life, and lives a life that countless people admire. But only he knows that he doesn’t care about the external fame and wealth. If he could, he would trade those flashy things for a healthy body and Yu Fei.
However, even if he can not accompany Yu Fei’s side, it does not mean that Gu Yi can take his place. With a frowning face, he calls the bodyguard who is in charge of protecting Yu Fei in the dark, and says, “From today on, report to me the number of times that Gu Yi and Fei meet every day.” No sooner had the phone been hung up than it rang again. It’s from Tan Lin. Ko Chen shakes his head to cheer up and replies, “hello?”
“Chen, where are you now? I came to the company to see you. You are not here. Where are you now? ” Her voice sounds pure and harmless, but Ko Chen is clear that she is not as her voice shows. Of course, Ko Chen will not tell the truth, and he casually reports the name of a club far away from Yu Fei’s house and deceives Tan Lin that he is entertaining. His words finished, Ko Chen immediately worries because Tan Lin is not easy to be cheated. To his surprise, Tan Lin doesn’t ask anything, but seems to believe his words, “I still want to invite you to have a housewarming dinner after moving home in the afternoon. I didn’t expect that the time would be so inconvenient.”
Tan Lin complains half in jest and half in earnest, and Ko Chen smiles awkwardly and doesn’t make a sound. Tan Lin suddenly senses something strange and asks tentatively, “Chen, you are really quiet.” Ko Chen starts, and immediately answers, “I just ran out to avoid drinking with my friends, and your phone call came over.” “Well.” Tan Lin’s voice is gentle, but there is no smile on her face. After hanging up the phone, Tan Lin immediately dials a number that has not been saved. The low voice of a man comes out, and she immediately orders him, “go and find out where Ko Chen is now and where he has gone after he left the company today. Tell me all of these in half an hour.” Tan Lin holds the phone with a cold face. “Chen, you’d better not cheat me.”
