Chapter 215
Lisa walked inside Alfred’s ward looking as angry as ever. Alfred whose eyes were fixed on his phone turned to Lisa wondering why she was angry and her mom wasn’t with her.
“Lisa, what’s wrong?” Alfred asked.
“I just saw uncle Damon’s wife and then she’s asking me to forgive Uncle Damon that he’s in the hospital, that he has cancer.
I’m never going to forgive him, not after everything he did to me and my mother. He fvcking shot my mom. Even when I was pleading with him to help my mom. He paid a deaf ear to my pleas and all he did was hit me telling me to shut up. I can never forgive him, he’s so heartless” Lisa said and Alfred sighed softly.
“Remember I paid your uncle to get you for me. He sold you to me if he’s a monster so I’m i” Alfred paused and Lisa rolled her eyes.
“At least you were not my uncle. I trusted him, Alfred. He was like a father to me, I even looked up to him like a mentor” Lisa said. Alfred could understand how she was feeling.
“Lisa, no matter what you should forgive him. People make mistakes in the past that they regret now and want to make things right. You just have to give him a second chance, please” Alfred said and Lisa stared at Alfred for some seconds before looking away.
“Fine then. I’ll go see him now” Lisa said and Alfred smiled at her. She smiled at him in return before walking out of the ward.

Lisa walked into Damon’s ward and saw him talking to her mom. He was looking so pale and lean. Cancer has affected him negatively, Lisa thought as she stood by the door watching him.
Just then Damon’s eyes moved toward the door and he saw Lisa staring at him with no expression on her face.
“L…Lisa” Damon managed to voice out and Mrs. Rebecca and Amanda turned towards the door and saw Lisa standing at the door.
Lisa gave out a small smile before walking fully inside the ward.
“Uncle Damon” she called as she moved towards Damon and sat beside him.
“Oh my, Lisa ” Damon muttered trying to touch Lisa. Lisa smiled and held her hands.
“How are you feeling?” Lisa asked
“I’m feeling better now you are with me. I’m so sorry for everything I did to you, Lisa. I was blinded by wealth. I wanted to have all your father’s property to myself. I was selfish and greedy. I’m so sorry for what I did” Damon said. Lisa stared him straight in the eyes. He was truly sorry, it was so obvious in his eyes.
“It’s alright uncle, I forgive you,” Lisa said and Damon smiled. Tears gathered in his eyes. He had always known Lisa had a kind heart just like her mother. They were just too rare from other people he’s come across in the world.
“Thank you so much, Lisa. Thank you so much, Rebecca. Thank you for forgiving me” uncle Damon paused and turned to his wife Amanda who was already in tears.
“Thank you Amanda for being the best wife to me, I wouldn’t wish for anything more than that. If there’s such a thing as the next life, In my next life I’ll choose you all over again as a wife, a partner, and a friend. I love you” Damon said and Amanda moved towards him and hugged him, tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Take care of the kids and most importantly take care of yourself” Damon muttered softly in Amanda’s ear and suddenly the machines started beeping.
Amanda pulled away from the hug and stared at Damon whose eyes were already closed. More tears streamed down her cheeks.
“Call the doctor!!” Lisa yelled
“Damon! Damon!!” Mrs. Rebecca called out but there was no response.
Just then the doctor and nurses rushed in. The nurse asked Lisa, her mother, and Amanda to exit the ward which they did.
They watched the doctor from outside the ward trying to revive Damon but nothing was working.
“Time of death” they heard the doctor say. Amanda’s leg became weak immediately. Just as she was about to fall to the ground, Mrs. Rebecca held her and pulled her into a hug.
“He’s dead!! Damon is gone. Damon left me” Amanda cried on Rebecca’s shoulder.
Tears slipped down Lisa’s cheeks. She quickly wiped the tears. She must confess, it pained her so much to see her uncle Damon die. It hurts.
Damon was buried. Lisa had bought a new house for Amanda and asked her to move in with her kids.
She gave the kids a scholarship to study in one of the biggest schools in the city. She had told Amanda if she or the kids needed anything, she shouldn’t hesitate to call her.
One week later
Mrs. Rebecca could be seen running a heater skelter in Alfred’s mansion. She was just trying to make sure everything was in place since Alfred was coming home today.
The quadruplets could be seen in their room, putting on their favorite dresses. They were so happy their daddy is going to be home after weeks without seeing him.
Just then Mrs. Rebecca heard the sound of Alfred’s car screeching to a halt in the compound. It was Them. Lisa and Alfred. They’ve arrived.
“Bella’s come downstairs, mommy and Daddy are here” Mrs. Rebecca yelled and the kids rushed out of their room.
They rushed towards the door and stood in a straight line holding hands. They smiled at each other, eagerly waiting for their parents to come in.
Just then the door burst open and Daniel walked in. The smile on the children’s faces faded away immediately.
“Where’s daddy and mommy?” Isabella asked
“Here we are,” Lisa said as she pushed The wheelchair Alfred was sitting on inside the house.
“Daddy!!!!!!” The kids yelled happily and ran towards Alfred. Alfred smiled and stood up from the wheelchair. He walked towards his kids and they jumped on him.
“Alfred, you are not supposed to walk yet!! kids are careful, you gonna hurt your daddy!!” Lisa yelled but none of them paid attention to Lisa. They were just so happy to see each other.
“Daddy we missed you so much” the kids yelled as Alfred carried the four of them at once.
“Seriously, Alfred your wound hasn’t healed yet,” Lisa said but Alfred paid no attention to her.
Lisa rolled her eyes and pushed the wheelchair towards Daniel who was laughing so hard.
“What??” Daniel asked as he held the wheelchair.
“Dump it. He doesn’t need it. He’s a superman who can carry four kids at once” Lisa said and turned to her mom who was smiling at her.
“Mom, I’m so hungry. What did you cook?” Lisa said as she walked past her mom and walked inside the kitchen.
