Chapter 200
He stared at the kids and smiled. It pained his heart he was going to leave. He just wished he could stay any longer but there was no time. He needed to get back home because of Andrew. He needs to teach him a lesson of his life that in his next life he would never think of messing with Alfred Kings.
Just as he was about to walk out of the room. He heard Isabella call out to him.
“Daddy” Isabella called and Alfred turned to her.
“Sweetheart. You are awake. Are you alright?” Alfred said as he walked towards her and sat beside her.
“No Daddy” Isabella said as tears gathered in her eyes.
“What’s wrong honey?” Alfred asked
“I had a bad dream, Daddy. I saw a man kill you. He shot you with a gun” Isabella said as tears slipped down her cheeks.
She felt so scared. She’s never been this scared her entire life, she had just met her daddy recently and she was not ready to lose him. She didn’t want to lose him. She doesn’t want to imagine a life without a dad.
“Hey, honey stop crying. It’s just a dream, Daddy is going to be fine” Alfred said and pulled her into a brief hug.
He pulled away from the bed and helped her lie on the bed.
“Go back to sleep now,” Alfred said as he patted her hair. More tears slipped down Isabella’s cheeks as she stared at her dad. Whatever she had dreamt had felt so real. The man had shot her daddy twice in his chest and Alfred was lying in the pool of his blood. There was no one to rescue him and eventually he gave up.
“Daddy, are you leaving?” Isabella asked as she cried.
“No, honey. I’m not” Alfred said as he felt tears gathering in his eyes too. He wasn’t going to cry. No! Not in front of his kids. He needed to be strong.

Isabella, who was already feeling sleepy, tried so hard not to fall asleep. She wanted her daddy to stay with her and not leave. She wants to be her daddy’s guardian angel and protect him from bad people.
“I love you, Daddy,” Isabella said as she closed her eyes, and just then she drifted to sleep.
“I love you too honey” Alfred muttered as he kissed her forehead. Just as he was about to stand from the bed, he felt Isabella’s hands grab his shirt.
He smiled and gently loosen her grip on the shirt. He stood up and just then he heard a vibration on his phone. It was a text message. His flight has been shifted to tomorrow morning.
his eyes drifted to the door and there he saw Lisa standing at the door with tears in her eyes.
Immediately Lisa knew Alfred had seen her. She walked away to the sitting room.
“Lisa” Alfred called and went after her.
“Lisa” Alfred called and touched her.
“Do you have to leave? Why can’t you just call the police to go home and arrest him? Why must you go yourself? Can’t you just see it’s dangerous?
Andrew is a cunning person and must be planning something bad and Isabella’s dream just now. Alfred, she’s a kid, she can feel it when something is about to go wrong. Please don’t go. For the sake of me and the kids” Lisa pleaded and Alfred sighed softly.
“I wish I could stay Lisa. I had spent enough time here already. I need to go home and make things right. I can’t just sit and fold my hands and let everything my mother, Laura worked so hard for, go crumbling down. I can’t Lisa. She put it under my care before she died, and I should do what I’m supposed to do” Alfred said and Lisa sniffed.
She understands what Alfred was trying to say. She just cares about him too much and doesn’t want to lose him. She just wished she could do something that will make him change his mind.
“You should take care of the kids while I’m away and Always tell them how much Daddy loves them” Alfred paused and placed his two hands on Lisa’s shoulder, staring deep into her eyes like he was searching for something.
“I love you Lisa Cranston and I will always do. Even in death, I will always love you” Alfred said as he smiled.
He removed his hands from Lisa’s shoulder and carried her hands putting it on his chest.
“This heart will always and forever be best for you till the end,” Alfred said and Lisa swallowed hard as she stared deep into his eyes. All she could see was the love and all.
He placed his fingers on her chin and kissed her lightly on the lips and then pulled away from the kiss.
“I have to go now. The flight has been postponed to tomorrow morning. I need to meet with Mr. Luke night before I leave tomorrow morning. Take care of the kids alright and take care of yourself too” Alfred said and smiled at Lisa before walking out of the house.
He noticed the weather had changed and it was about to rain. He rushed inside the car and ignited the engine. Just as he was about to leave he saw Lisa outside the house and it had started raining.
He quickly came out of the car and rushed towards her.
“What are you doing inside the rain Lisa?” Alfred asked and then suddenly Lisa did what he didn’t expect. She kissed him.
Alfred leaned onto her as they devoured each other lips under the rain making it more intense.
She then pulled away from the kiss and held Alfred’s hands.
“I love you, Alfred. I do love you. Promise me you’ll be back” she cried as the rain soaked her hair and her body.
“I promise you, I’ll be back,” Alfred said and smiled at her and then turned to leave. He let go of her hands and entered the car.
He stared at Lisa who was under the rain and with that, he zoomed off.
“I’m coming for you, Andrew. I’m going to make you pay for everything ”
