Chapter 197
Daniel stood at the corner of the ward staring at Mrs. Rebecca and Mrs. Bella. He couldn’t believe Daisy would be pregnant with his child. It was only a one-night stand and she had told him she took a drug to wash the sperm off so that she wouldn’t get pregnant.
This means only one thing, she lied to me. She didn’t take any fucking drugs in the first place. She had lied. Why didn’t she tell me she was pregnant? Daniel thought.
“Daniel” Mrs. Rebecca called, jolting him out of his thoughts. Daniel raised his head staring at Mrs. Rebecca.
“Daisy is like a child to me. She would never lie to me about anything. The pregnancy is yours and you should take responsibility for it” Mrs. Rebecca said and Daniel exhaled deeply.
“I know. I’m not denying the fact that the baby is mine. I’ll sure take responsibility for it” Daniel said and Mrs. Rebecca nodded in response.
Just then the door burst open and the doctor walked in holding some files in his hands with a nurse trailing behind him.
“How are you doing now, Mrs. Rebecca?” The doctor asked smiling
“I’m an okay doctor” Mrs. Rebecca responded.
“I can see that,” the doctor said smiling as he looked at everything in the ward who was staring at him.
“Well, we did all the tests and everything is okay. You can finally be discharged and taken home” the doctor said and Mrs. Bella smiled happily and hugged Mrs. Rebecca so tight.
She was so glad she would be discharged. She just wanted to spend so much time with her. She missed her best friend, Rebecca so much. She just can’t wait for them to start hanging out again.
“Thank you, doctor, ” Lisa said and the doctor nodded in response.
“I’ll be in your office in a jiffy,” Lisa said to the doctor who nodded and left with the nurse. She then stood up and walked out of the ward. She needed to see the doctor so she could settle her mother’s bill.
After Mrs. Rebecca was discharged from the hospital, she told Lisa she was going back home to Daisy and Freya.
Lisa had agreed and took her there in her car, while Daniel had gone to drop Mrs. Bella and Nova at home. He had told Lisa that he would come to see Daisy after dropping Nova and Mrs. Bella at home.
The car screeched to a halt in front of Daisy’s house. Lisa and Mrs. Rebecca hopped out of the car and walked inside the house, and to their surprise, they met Daisy lying on the couch shivering.
“Mom” Freya called out, surprised immediately she saw Mrs. Rebecca. She thought she would never see her again.
“Honey” Mrs. Rebecca muttered as Freya rushed towards her and hugged her so tightly as if her life depended on it.
“I thought I would never see you again. I was so scared, I thought you left us” Freya muttered and Mrs. Rebecca smiled.
“I will never abandon you and Daisy. It would be the last thing I’ll do here on earth before I die ” Mrs. Rebecca said and suddenly she heard Daisy’s shaky voice.
“M-mommy is that you?” Daisy muttered as she tried sitting properly on the couch she was lying on but she was just too weak to.
“Sweetheart, you should rest, ” Mrs. Rebecca said as she moved towards her and held her.
“Oh my goodness!! Honey, you’re burning hot” Mrs. Rebecca said as she helped Daisy lay properly on the couch.
She then turned to Freya and asked her to get a bowl of water and a towel while she asked Lisa to help her get some drugs.

Hours later
Daisy is seen sitting on the couch looking much better than before. Mrs. Rebecca was sitting close to her feeding her.
“I’ve filled up mommy” Daisy muttered
“No, you should take this last one please,” Mrs. Rebecca said and Daisy nodded and ate the last food.
Lisa sat in the corner of the room as she watched the scene. Daisy was looking so much better than before. She never needed drugs to get better, all she needed to get better was the love of a mother.
“I’ll drop the plate and prepare soup for you,” Mrs. Rebecca said as she walked inside the kitchen with Freya trailing behind her. Since she came Freya had refused to let her be as she kept following her.
Daisy’s eyes then drifted to Lisa who was staring at her.
“How are you feeling now?” Lisa asked in a concerned tone. She was concerned, but the truth is, she still cares about Daisy.
“I’m feeling much better all thanks to mom,” Daisy said Lisa nodded, and then silence took over.
“I know you hate me now for what I did to you and mom. You’ve gay every right to hate me but truth be told I regret what I did.
Starting from giving mom the drugs so she wouldn’t be able to recall her memories and then pushing you away from her, I’m so sorry Lisa. I was so selfish that I didn’t realize I was doing the wrong thing.
I’m so sorry Lisa, I hope you forgive me and give me a chance to be part of the family again” Daisy said and Lisa sighed softly without saying a word. And just then she stood up and walked towards Daisy and sat beside her.
“No matter what happens you will always be my sister, Daisy,” Lisa said and hugged her briefly, and just then Lisa pulled away from the hug when they heard the door open.
“Daniel” Daisy called out, surprised to see Daniel.
“I will be with mom in the kitchen,” Lisa said and stood up. she smiled at Daniel before walking inside the kitchen to join her mom and Freya.
“Daisy” Daniel called and moved toward her and hugged her tight. Daisy was a bit surprised to see Daniel hug her. Had he found out about the pregnancy? Daisy thought as she felt her heartbeat increase at once.
“How are you feeling now?” Daniel asked as he pulled away from the hug.
“I-I’m okay,” Daisy said sounding nervous
“Why didn’t you tell me about the pregnancy?” Daniel asked worriedly
“I’m sorry, I was just scared……”
“It’s alright. I’m glad you are okay now. I know the pregnancy is mine and I promise to take responsibility for it” Daniel said and Daisy felt tears gather in her eyes. It wasn’t the response she was expecting from Daniel she had gotten.
She thought he would deny being the father of the child because she had told him the other day that she had taken some drugs so that she wouldn’t get pregnant.
She knew that Daniel was so different from other men, he was just too different.
