Chapter 174
Lisa began to wonder how many Daniel was in the hospital or if it was her Daniel Daisy is talking about because she had heard Freya talking about Daniel in ward 008 and that was the ward Daniel was admitted in.
Daisy and Lisa had stood up and both walked out of the restaurant while talking.
“What are you doing at the hospital?” Daisy asked
“A friend of mine had been admitted here,” Lisa said
“Really? A friend of mine was admitted here too. His name is Daniel smith. He had gotten into an accident some days back and I haven’t been able to come to see him but we decided to come to see him today. Who’s your friend you came to see here?” Daisy asked
“Daniel. I guess we came to see the same person. How did you know him?” Lisa asked and Daisy was a little bit surprised Lisa also knew Daniel. What a coincidence, she thought.
“He had come to my club one night. He looked so stressed and sad. He saved my life that day” Daisy said and Lisa opened her eyes shocked.
“You own a clubhouse?” Lisa asked, surprised.
“Yes, I do,” Daisy said smiling
“Oh my goodness!! We sure have a lot of things to talk about Daisy. A day definitely wouldn’t be enough to talk about it” Lisa said and Daisy laughed.
Lisa and Daisy walked inside Daniel’s ward and they met Mrs. Rebecca, Lisa’s mom sitting beside Daniel and smiling at him.
Lisa stood close to the door as Daisy walked in fully inside the ward.
“Hey, ” Daniel Called out as he saw Daisy.
“Hi,” Daisy said and smiled. She was so happy Daniel is alive. She wouldn’t wish for anything more than that.
“I’m glad you are alright, ” Daisy said and Daniel smiled at her just then his eyes drifted to the door where he saw Lisa staring at him.
“Lisa ” Daniel called and tried standing up from the bed.
“Careful,” Mrs. Rebecca said as she supported him.
“Hey” Lisa walked towards Daniel, sitting close to him, and then hugged him so tight.
“Ouch” Daniel groaned
“Oh my goodness!! I’m sorry I didn’t mean to hurt you” Lisa said smiling. Daniel could see she was so happy to see he was alive.
“I’m sorry about……”
“No, it’s fine. We shouldn’t talk about that now. You should save your strength” Lisa said and Daniel nodded in response.
“I’m glad you are okay. I was so scared” Lisa said as she joined her lips together.
“Oh common, you know I’m a fighter. Even if I do want to give up but for you, I wouldn’t Lisa. You mean the world to me” Daniel said and Lisa nodded smiling.
Meanwhile, Daisy who stood watching Lisa and Daniel talking and him telling her she means the world to her made her feel jealous. She swallowed hard as she stared at both of them, while her heart burned in jealousy.
She quickly bent her head, biting her inner cheeks.
Just then Daniel turned to Mrs. Rebecca.
“Ma’am, this is my Best-friend, Lisa, and Lisa, this is Daisy’s mom and that’s Daisy over there and her sister Freya. I’m sure you guys must have met” Daniel said and Mrs. Rebecca raised her eyebrows staring at Lisa weirdly.
At the mention of Lisa, she felt a rush of spark rush through her veins. She felt the name sounded so familiar like she’s heard it somewhere but she just couldn’t recall where she had heard the name.
She blinked her eyes as she and Lisa both stared at each other. Lisa felt her heartache as she stared at her mom who was right in front of her and couldn’t even remember her.
It pained her so much. It hurts a lot. She just wanted to cry, hug her and scream inside of her ears that she is her daughter and she should try and remember her.
“Hi, I’m Lisa. I’m sorry we didn’t meet earlier on in good circumstances ” Lisa said to her mom Mrs. Rebecca who smiled at Lisa in return.
“Have you been able to fix your phone now?” She asked in a caring tone.
“No, I’ll just get a new one instead, ” Lisa said and Mrs. Rebecca nodded in response.
“You know the both of you look alike so much” Daniel laughed and Lisa chuckled.
Of course, we do look so much alike because she’s my mom, Lisa screamed in her head as she stared at her mom’s blue eyes to her lush long hair which was already becoming gray. She was gradually getting old.
Her mom was a beautiful woman with a kind heart although she’s still beautiful and kind as always a lot of things have changed about her, Lisa thought as she stared at her mom, Mrs. Rebecca.
“Uhm, Freya you should take mom home now, alright? She needs to rest” Daisy said and Lisa turned to her.
“So quick? You should let her stay a while longer” Lisa said and Daisy sighed softly.
“She will come over some other time probably tomorrow but for now she needs rest,” Daisy said and Lisa nodded.
Daisy watched as Mrs. Rebecca stood up and kissed Daniel on his forehead and smiled at Lisa. As she stared at them, they looked so much like a family and there was something about the three of them that looked so familiar.
Daisy sighed softly as Mrs. Rebecca walked towards her.
“You should go rest. I’ll be home soon” Daisy said and she nodded. She hugged Daisy and whispered inside her ears “Be Careful” before walking out of the ward with Freya trailing behind her.
Daisy walked outside the ward too and Lisa quickly turned to Daniel.
“Excuse me,” she said and walked out of the ward.
“Daisy ” Lisa called and she turned to her.
“Why would you tell her to go home? You know this is the first time in how many years I’m seeing her and have missed her so much. Even though she doesn’t remember me, I should At Least still spend some time with her, ” Lisa said and Daisy scoffed.
“It’s no use, Lisa, she doesn’t remember you and would never remember you”
