I’m serious Lisa, you don’t have to tell me how you feel about me. I know you don’t feel the same way I feel nor are you ready for anything I understand. I just want you to know I’ll be right here waiting for you till you’re ready” Daniel said and pecked Lisa on her forehead before moving away from her.
Lisa sighed as Daniel moved away from her. She was speechless as she didn’t know what to say or do. Daniel has been the best kind of man to Lisa. He’s stood by her when she needed him, he’s always supported her, her dreams, and her kids. He’s been like a father to them. What more could she ask for?
He’s stood by her and waited for her for close to 7 years now. God!!! She didn’t deserve such a sweet, caring, and kind-hearted man. She then began why she hadn’t developed any feelings for him for the past few years.
No matter how hard she tries to love him the way he wants, it just isn’t working. She’s tried. She sighed softly. She didn’t know what was wrong. Maybe it was her heart that has a problem or because of the trauma she’s been through in the past, it’s still affecting her up until now. She exhaled deeply as she moved away from the fridge.
She took a class cup from the sink and opened the bottled water. She poured herself a bit and drank from it, calming her nerves down. She should give Daniel a chance, she was not gonna regret it, she thought.
“What are you preparing?” She asked Daniel
“Oh!! Crispy fried egg and Bacon with fruit salad” Daniel said smiling
“Hmmm my favorite ” Lisa said smiling
“Also the Kid’s favorite,” Daniel said and Lisa laughed.

It was Monday and time for work. Lisa had woken up so early even before her kids. She woke them up and helped them get dressed for school, after which they were taken to school by the driver and nanny, except for Isabella whose leg hasn’t healed.
Lisa carried Isabella in her arms as she put her inside the car. She hopped inside the car locking the door. “How long are you going to keep carrying me, mommy? I told you I’m fine and I can take care of myself ” Isabella said and Lisa smiled at her
“Sweetheart, I know you can take care of yourself but let mommy take care of you for now,” Lisa said to her and she nodded in response. She helped her wear the seat belt and kissed her on her Forehead.
She wears her sit belt before igniting the engine and zooming off to the restaurant. The car screeched to a halt in front of the restaurant. Lisa alighted the car and moved towards the passenger seat.
She opened the door, removed the seat belt, and carried Bella in her arms. “Good morning ma’am ” her manager greeted as she saw Lisa.
“Good morning Aria, please bring my bag and phone from my car,” Lisa said to Aria as she walked fully inside the restaurant to her office. She dropped Isabella at the chair in her office and just then Aria walked in with Lisa’s bag in her hands.
“Here it is ma’am. Your phone is inside ” Aria said and Lisa muttered a thank you.
She opened her bag and brought out Isabella’s iPad. Daniel had bought four good iPad for the kids but Lisa had seized them on the grounds that they would distract the kids from school work.
But today she had brought Isabella’s own to work. She just wanted her to be busy with her phone when she’s busy with other things. She doesn’t want the child to get bored.
Isabella was surprised her mom brought her iPad.” Don’t give me that surprised look, you gonna use it for just today” Lisa said and gave it to her before walking out of her office.
Just then she caught a glimpse of Dina walking out of the kitchen holding a file in her hands. She was on a phone call and immediately she saw Lisa, she ended the phone call.
After Lisa had opened the restaurant, she made Dina the kitchen manager because she was good at cooking. With Dina being the kitchen manager she was 100 percent sure that the food was going to be good.
“They’ve run out of salt in the kitchen, I was just trying to order some online” Dina said as she hugged Lisa.
“Oh sweetheart, I missed you,” Dina said
“Missed me? We saw each other yesterday ” Lisa said as she pulled away from the hug. Dina rolled her eyes.
“Talking about yesterday, how’s Isabella’s leg?” Dina asked
“Getting better. She’s in my office” Lisa said and Dina nodded in response.
“I can see work is telling on you, Dina. You need to rest. Like go on a date with Williams it will make you feel much better” Lisa said and Dina rolled her eyes at her.
“I’m serious, Dina. Give Williams a chance. He loves you and I know you love him too. You’re just scared of getting hurt, I get it which is fine. If you both feel the same way for each other then make it official” Lisa said as they both entered Dina’s office.
Dina dropped the file she was holding a while ago on her table and sat down staring at Lisa who was standing in front of her table.
“Lisa, I….”
“Dina, for the fact charles hurt you doesn’t mean Williams is going too. 7 years is enough proof. The both of you are hurting.
Clara likes him and wants him to be her daddy. You should give him a chance” Lisa said
“Ok then, fine fine fine, you won. He actually proposed to me this morning, I told him I’ll think about it. I’ll just call him and say yes” Dina said as she raised her both hands in the air, surrendering to Lisa, who smiled at her.
“And you Lisa, why don’t you give Daniel a chance too. I see the way he stares at you all the time. He’s madly in love with you” Dina said as she put her hands down.
“I know and I’m thinking of giving him a chance” Lisa said
“You don’t have to, if you don’t feel like it. I know you don’t feel the same way for him. You only see him as the brother you never had” Dina said and Lisa sighed softly.
“Sometimes, I begin to wonder. After all these years you still didn’t fall in love with him. There’s 1 million reasons for women to fall in love with Daniel. What if your heart belongs somewhere else or rather to someone else”
