They will pay for everything ” she said and closed her eyes and just then she finally drifted to sleep.
Daniel helped her lay properly on the bed and covered her with the duvet. He pecked her forehead and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Next Day
Lisa had woken up feeling differently. She felt kind of tired and weak. She remembered all that happened last night and she sighed. Daniel had done a lot for her. Waking up in the middle of the night to comfort her, making sure she slept properly.
She wondered how she was going to repay his kind heart. She stood up from the bed, wore her flip flops, and walked inside the bathroom. She took her bath and then walked out of the bathroom with her towel tied around her chest.
She walked towards her dressing table, stood in front of the dressing mirror, and let her towel fall freely.
She stared at her reflection from her head, her eyes moved to her collar bone which was becoming full, and to her breast which was growing fuller and bigger by the day. Then her eyes moved to her stomach. It was becoming bigger every single minute that passed by.
She smiled and placed her hands on her tummy. She can’t believe she’ll soon be a mother but her smile was then replaced by a frown. The fact that she is carrying Alfred’s baby made her feel somehow. She stared at the scars she had gotten from the nonstop beating Alfred had given her.
No matter how hard she tries to forget, these scars always remind her of everything Alfred had done to her and how much she hates him.
She quickly shook off the thoughts of Alfred.
“I won’t let the thoughts of him ruin my mood today,” she thought to herself as she picked up her lotion and applied it to her body.
Just then the door to her room burst open revealing Daniel.
Lisa widened her eyes as she saw Daniel lost staring at her naked body. She quickly bent and picked up the towel from the ground to cover herself up.
“Oh my goodness!! Lisa, I’m sorry ” Daniel said when he finally regained his composure and quickly turned around.
“I’m sorry I didn’t knock. I just wanted to check on you, I’m sorry. I – I’ll just wait outside ” he said and without wasting any more seconds, he fled out of the room.
Lisa gave out a breath of relief after he left. She can’t believe Daniel just saw her nakedness. She felt her cheeks blush in embarrassment. Oh dammit!!
She quickly rushed towards her wardrobe and picked a black well-fitted gown and put it on. The gown was so tight that it brought out her figure 8 and her protruding tummy making it so obvious that she was pregnant.
She wore the pair of heels Daniel had gotten for her days back. She took her lip gloss and applied a little then combed her hair and packed it in a ponytail. She put on her perfume before taking her handbag and walking out of her room.
Immediately after she got downstairs she met Daniel in the dining room with his phone in his hands. He hadn’t started eating yet, perhaps he was waiting for her.
Lisa felt her cheek turn red in embarrassment as she saw Daniel look up at her. The memories of what happened earlier on came running into her head.
“Wow, you look gorgeous, ” Daniel said as he saw Lisa. He had never seen her wear clothes this tight before and he must say even with a pregnancy she looked very sexy.
He chuckled lightly as he saw Lisa’s cheeks flushed.
“I’m sorry about earlier, I swear I didn’t see anything, ” Daniel said and rubbed his forehead knowing deep down he was lying.

Lisa raised her head and noticed Daniel wasn’t eating. He has not even touched his food yet. His attention was now on his phone, he looked so serious while staring at his phone.
Suddenly, he stood up and grabbed his suit.” I’m off to the company, Lisa. It’s an emergency. My driver will drop you off at the office” Daniel said and pecked Lisa on the forehead before running out of the house.
Lisa stared at his food. He hasn’t even touched it. She shook her head and started eating her food. When she was done, she had asked ma’am Lois to package some food for her so she could give Alfred at the company which she did without hesitation.
After then she walked out of the house and hopped into the car while the driver zoomed off.
The car screeched to a halt in front of the company and she quickly rushed out of the car as she was already late. She was in a rush to enter the company when she mistakenly collided with someone.
It was no one but Alfred’s assistant, Williams.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I didn’t see you coming” Lisa apologized immediately and Williams did nothing but stared at her with hatred in his eyes in return.
He walked past her without even saying another word to her. Lisa had noticed something about Williams, right from the first day he had seen him, he seemed not to like her.
There was this look on his face anytime he saw Lisa and his boss together. Lisa wondered why he didn’t like her at all buh she quickly waved off the thoughts and was about entering the company building when the driver called her that she had forgotten something in the car.
“Oh my goodness!! Thank you ” Lisa said and gave the driver a small smile before walking inside the company.
