Any trace of her yet?” Alfred asked.
“No sir, but we still looking”
“Okay,” Alfred said and ended the call.

A black car screeched to halt in front of Daniel’s Company.
“It’s the CEO” voices could be heard from different angles as all the workers gathered together inside the company.
“Is this necessary?” Lisa asked as they both climbed down from the car.
“Yes it is more than necessary queen Lisa,” Daniel said Lisa smiled softly just then Williams walked towards his boss and greeted him then greeted Lisa too, to which she responded happily.
“Sir, I did what you asked, they’re all waiting,” Williams said with his head bowed and Daniel nodded.
Daniel had called Williams on their way to the office to gather all the workers before his arrival that he has an important issue to discuss with them.
“Common, let’s go,” Daniel said to Lisa who was looking so scared and nervous. Immediately, the three walked inside the office, all the workers bowed their heads as they greeted Daniel and Daniel happily and wholeheartedly replied to all of them.
“Thank you all. I promise I won’t take your time. I know you all must be wondering why I held this meeting today. I haven’t held such a meeting since the company was founded and if a meeting were to be held I wouldn’t be present instead my PA will.
Well, this is important, that’s why I asked you all to gather here. There’s a new worker in our midst. She will be joining you guys, I hope you guys treat her well. Her name is Lisa. You offend her, you offend me and I know no one here would want to offend me” Daniel said and held Lisa who was hiding behind him.
Lisa bit her lips and smiled at the crowd who was staring at her.
“Oh my goodness!! She’s pregnant” she heard someone say and she sighed softly.
“Martha, you’ll put her through and show her her desk,” Daniel said and the so-called Martha nodded in response.
“You all can go back to work,” Daniel said and dismissed all of them.
Lisa smiled at Daniel, whatever he just did, reminded her of when she was so little. How her dad had taken her to his company and introduced her to every one of his workers.
“If you need anything, Lisa, just call me,” Daniel said to Lisa and then turned to Martha.
“You see she’s pregnant, make sure she doesn’t overwork,” Daniel said and Martha nodded in response, and with that, he left with his PA.
“Hi, I’m Martha, ” Martha smiled at Lisa. Lisa chucked as she stared at Martha. She had blonde hair and was putting on glasses. She must confess Martha is really beautiful.
“I’m Lisa. Nice to meet” Lisa said Martha hugged her and then pulled away from the hug immediately.
“Oh my goodness!! I’m so sorry for that. I’m just so excited I have finally met the boss’s wife after a long time” Martha said and Lisa opened her mouth wide.
“As far as she can remember, Daniel never introduced her as his wife, where’s this lady Martha getting her ideas from?” Lisa thought
“You know, you’re really lucky,” Martha said as she showed Lisa her desk. Lisa sighed and sat on her desk without saying a word to Martha. And just then three workers, two female and one male came to her sit smiling.
“Hi Lisa, I’m Derek. These are my friends. joy and Julia’s. It’s nice to see you. Feel free to ask us anything, we are at your service ” Derek said and Julia and joy nodded in agreement to what Derek said. Lisa smiled at them.
Just then, Derek, Julia, and Joy ran back to their seats. The boss’s mother is here.
“What’s going on here?” Mrs. Bella asked as she walked inside the company.
“We have a new worker in our midst, Mr. Daniel asked us to treat her well,” one of the workers said and Mrs. Bella turned to Lisa who was now standing up.
“Hi ma’am, ” Lisa said as Mrs. Bella stared at her from her head down but then her eyes landed on Lisa’s tummy And she noticed she was pregnant.
“Did you say my son brought her in?” Mrs. Bella asked to be sure and the workers nodded.
“What relationship do you have with my son?” Mrs. Bella asked Lisa.
“I’m…….” She paused as she saw Daniel
“Mom, you didn’t tell me you were coming, ” Daniel said as she pecked his mom on her cheeks.
“I just wanted to see how my son is doing,” Mrs. Bella said as she gave Lisa a deadly glare.
“Common, let’s go to my office, ” Daniel said and held his mom’s hands as they both walked away.
Lisa gave out a breath of relief and sat down.
“That’s Mrs. Bella, the boss’ mother. She’s very rude and harsh. She’s like that to all of us here. Don’t worry you’ll get used to her Soon” Martha said and Lisa nodded.
“I just hope my stay here will be easy,” Lisa thought.

“Who’s that girl?” Mrs. Bella asked his son as they both walked inside the office
“That’s Lisa,” Daniel said and sat down.
“So? Where’s she from and what’s your relationship with her? I heard you gathered all the workers and introduced her to them officially. Daniel I have known you too well, for you to have introduced that girl there must be something between the both of you” his mom said and Daniel sighed.
“Mom”
“Daniel, she’s even pregnant. Who knows if she’s pregnant for someone else and then lied it’s for you just because she’s a gold digger? All these girls you see these days are deceivers. They only want your money. That’s why I want someone different for you and that’s Tessa” his mom said and Daniel who was already feeling angry with what his mom said stood up at once.
“Mom, can you please stop jumping to conclusions? Lisa is different I promise you, she is. I swear you gonna like her if u get close to her” Daniel said trying to calm himself down. In as much as he loves Lisa who wouldn’t just sit and watch anyone say words about her, never.
His mom stood up angrily.
“It’s Tessa I want for you and no one else, over my dead body will I let that happen, ” she said and with that, she walked out of Daniel’s office.
