Chapter 35
Meanwhile, Mr. Hector is seen speaking with Ria who was with him all alone in a room in his mansion.
“Ria, the papers you brought were fake and nothing else” Mr. Hector who was so furious yelled at Ria making her flinch.
“It’s the original I swear. I took it from his wardrobe. He even locked it with his keys. That’s where he keeps his important documents. I’m sure of that” Ria said, breathing heavily, looking as scared and confused as ever.
“Ria, don’t give me that confused look. I know you, Ria. I know how smart and Mischievous you can be at times. You know you’re good at pretending, just stop this act already and hand me over the real papers. You can’t trick me. If you don’t hand me over the papers I swear I won’t think twice before giving orders to kill your mom there ”Mr. Hector said and smirked devilishly. Ria frowned at jinx
“You’ve been keeping me from seeing my mom since I brought these papers claiming you want to confirm if they were real or not. You know how much I love and value my mom and will do anything for her and right now as we speak she’s your captive, why then would I hide any paper’s from you? I have given you what you want Mr. Hector now let my mom go” Ria said getting angry already with everything that has been happening.
Hector stared at her carefully then he noticed something, she was saying the truth. She knew Ria when she was younger and she had always cherished her mom and would do anything for her. He believes she thought she got the right papers but then she got the wrong ones.
If she’s saying the truth, then Alfred must have known about his plans on using Ria all this time to get what he wanted. Oh shit!! That bastard, he’s just too smart for his age. I hate him so much, Mr. Hector thought angrily.
“I thought you were smart Ria? He knew all this while. He knew about all of our plans and he tricked you” Hector said angrily between gritted teeth.
“How do you expect me to know he knows about all of my plans?” Ria said, already getting pissed off.
“Just shut up,” he said and hit her hard across her face making her spit blood.
Ria chuckled as he hit her. She felt pain and anger surge through her veins. Tears almost popped out of her eyes but she held them back.
“Gone are the days when you hit me and make me do anything you want. I’m no longer that Ria you knew before. I have done everything you’ve asked of me, I don’t care if it’s real or fake, all I want now is for you to give me back my mom” Ria said and Hector stared at him with surprise in his eyes.
“How bold,” he said and Ria shot him a deadly glare.
“I like this you,” Hector said and bit his lips seductively and Ria stared at him in disgust.
“What if I refuse to release your mother?” He said and moved a step towards her and then she moved a step backward.
“You’re scared” he laughed and moved a step towards her and now he was so close to her. Then he whispered into her ears.
“You’re just as weak as your mother and useless as your father. You still gonna get me those papers else your mother dies” he whispered into her ears this angered Ria a lot.
“What if I say you gonna die instead of her” She slowly brought out the knife she’s kept in her clothes all this while and stabbed him in the stomach making Hector grunt in pain.
“What have you done?” Hector asked in pain as he went to his knees, blood gushing out of his mouth.
“In your next life you wouldn’t mess with me and my mother anymore” she whispered to him as she pushed him to the ground.
She stood there, her hands shivering as she watched him die.
She couldn’t believe she had just killed someone. She just did and it’s not a dream. She knew she was in trouble and she needed to get out of the house but not without her mother.
There were guards all over the house. It would be kind of difficult to leave her without being caught but she just had to figure out something.
Luckily for her, it was just she and Mr. Hector who was in the room and he had told his guards to excuse them both. She carried his legs and dragged him to the corner of the room.
She quickly searched his pocket and brought out the key to the room he was keeping her mother. She quickly walked out of the room, luckily no guard was standing outside the room.
She opened the door to which her mother was kept there and she met her mother tied to a pole looking so exhausted, looking as tired and weak as ever.
Her eyes became teary as she saw the current state of her mom. Mr. Hector has dealt with her, this is all her fault, if she had come in time to save her mom she wouldn’t be like this, she thought.
“Just kill me already. My daughter is not going to do what you asked her to” her mother whispered weakly with her eyes closed. She thought it was Mr. Hector who had just come inside the room unknowingly to her, it was her daughter, Ria.
“Mama” Ria called and her mom slowly opened her eyes there she met her daughter standing at the door staring at her with tears in her eyes.
She felt it was a dream.
“Mama” Ria whispered and walked towards her mom then hugged her so tight.
“Oh, my child. It’s you. It’s you, it’s not a dream” her mom said as she hugged her so tight feeling warmth.
Ria quickly disengaged from the hug as she heard footsteps coming. She started untying her mom.
“Oh my goodness!! Ria” her mom said happily as she saw her daughter. She was looking so sound and healthy. Just the sight of her daughter she felt all the strength she’s lost come back.
“Ria, did Mr. Hector let you come here? I missed you so much” her mom kept talking nonstop as she untied her. She quickly hugged her daughter.
Suddenly, she caught the sight of blood in her daughter’s hands.
“Ria, why do you have blood in your hands?” Her mother said in shock.
“Mom, I’ll explain everything later but first we need to get out of here before we get caught,” Ria said to her mom and held her hands and was about to leave the room when she heard a voice close to the room.
“Close all the exit units. Find the girl”
“Oh my goodness! I’m dead”
“What did you do Ria?” Her mom asked
