Chapter 25
The coffee, the cof…fee” he muttered
“What happened to the coffee?” Andrew asked not knowing what he was talking about.
“It was poisoned ” he finally said and suddenly blood started gushing out of his mouth.
“Poisoned?” Andrew muttered in shock and before he could say anything else he saw blood gushing out of his mouth. And suddenly he lost consciousness.

“Doctor, how’s he?” Andrew asked worriedly.
“He’s gonna be just fine. It will take time for the poison to dissolve fully. He’s going to be alright. Prescribed some drugs and gave him some injections too” the doctor said and Andrew nodded as he stared at Alfred who was lying unconscious on the bed looking as pale as ever.
“This was the first time in how many years he has seen Alfred this way” he thought as he felt tears slide down his cheeks.
He felt his heart break into pieces as he stared at him in his current state.
He wondered who could have done this to him and why. “I’ll make sure I find whoever did this and they’re going to pay for it.
“He’s going to be fine, I’ll be on my way now”. The doctor consoled him and then left.
Andrew sighed softly and then walked to the guards who were outside the door. “Go bring me the maid who served Alfred’s coffee” he said and the guard bowed his head and left immediately.

He stood in the sitting room pacing around waiting for the guard to bring the maid.
Not quite long a guard is seen dragging the maid to him, holding a bag in his hands too.
“Please let me go” the maid cried out as they dragged him towards Andrew who was feeling so angry at that moment.
The guards threw her to the ground and her bag too.
“Sir, we found her packing her things. She was about escaping ” the guard said and Andrew stared at the maid in disbelief. She knew what she had done, that’s why she was about to run away.
He began to wonder why a maid would poison Alfred.
He stared at the maid with so much anger in him that the maid could feel it too. This made her shiver in fear.
“What’s your name?” Andrew asked
“Dora” the maid said shivering in fear
“Why did you poison Alfred?” Andrew asked the maid in a cold voice as ever. The maid burst into more tears and didn’t say anything.
“I asked you a question, Dora. Why did you poison Alfred?” He asked again but the maid refused to say anything and this angered Andrew a lot.
He asked the guard to get him a blade which he did. He took the blade and walked towards her then held her hair tightly making her groan in pain.
“Seems to me you are the stubborn type” Andrew said in a whisper onto her ear and suddenly he pierced the blade on her skin, giving her a deep cut making her bleed.
“Argh!!!” She screamed in pain
“So you wouldn’t say why you did it right?” He said as he pierced the blade more and more into her skin making her scream the more.
“I’ll tell you please it hurts ” she cried out and Andrew let her go immediately.
Andrew didn’t know he could be this deadly. That’s to say he could do anything for Alfred, even if it means killing anyone he would do it. That’s how much he loves alfred. He could remember in the past how Alfred had done something no one could ever do for him. Even if his parents were to be alive, they wouldn’t dare do it for him.
Alfred had always loved him like a son and a brother, even though he never for once acted like he cared but deep down Andrew knows he cares so much for him and can do anything for him even though it means killing anyone.
Andrew has this deadly part of him but he doesn’t show it out like Alfred. What do you expect when he was trained by Alfred.
“Good girl. So Why did you do it?” Andrew asked and gave out a deadly smile.
“I didn’t poison him because I wanted to. I swear I didn’t, I was asked to poison him” she said and Andrew stared at her in disbelief.
“Who asked you to poison him?” Andrew asked Surprised but the maid kept quiet like she was scared.
“Common dora, just say it and stop making things hard for yourself ” Andrew said, already getting pissed off by her attitude.
“Dora, I’ll count from 1 to 0 and if you don’t tell me who sent you I’ll pierce you with this blade then go after your family, kill them all one by one” he threatened and dora opened her mouth wide in shock.
“Please do not harm my family ” she cried out. Her mother is a widow and she and her younger sister is the only child her mother has. She had taken this job as a maid so she could act as the breadwinner of the family since her mother was sick and couldn’t do anything . She loved her family so much and would do anything to make sure they survive and now Mr Andrew wants to hurt her family.
“Dora” Andrew called out, jolting her away from her thoughts.
“Your mother leaves in street 007 beside……”
“Sir please do not harm my family, I’m ready to tell you who sent me to do it” she cried out as sadness swept over her. If her mother finds out what she has done she is going to hate her beyond measure. Her mother trusted her so much and believed in her now she’s let her down. She can’t let her find out what she did.
“Dora you have 2 seconds. Who sent you?” Andrew asked angrily, ready to kill her if she isn’t going to say anything.
“Lisa.. Lisa asked me to poison him”
“What??”
