In the office, Gray arranged an area exclusive to Cynthia in his own office.
The distance was so close that he could see all her gestures as long as he raised his head slightly.
“I have to work late tonight. You stay here.”
It was time to clock out. When Gray noticed Cynthia was ready to leave, he directly sent her a command even without lifting his head to look at her.
Dissatisfied and aggrieved, Cynthia stood at her desk and asked, “Why should I stay?”
“Firstly, I’ve done my work.”
“Secondly, I have the right to refuse to work overtime.”
“And thirdly, even if I stay, there is no work for me. I don’t understand why you call me to stay here…”
Her arguments made Gray have a headache, so he rubbed his temples and said, “do you finish your talking back?”
“If you have nothing else to say, return to your place to sort out and print the documents I’ve sent you.”
Hearing his arrangements for her work, Cynthia had no reason to refuse and had to sit in her working place to sort out the files that had already been sorted out.
It was past eleven o ‘clock at the midnight, and it was already dark outside.
Suddenly Gray put down his pen, twisted his neck and arms, and said, “Are you hungry? Whatever you want to eat, it’s all on me.”
“Are you off duty?”
“If so, I have other plans and have no time to have dinner with you.”
Then she picked up her bag and prepared to leave.
“They say there are ghosts at night, but I don’t believe in ghosts or whatever, and what about you?”
However, Gray’s words scared her to a standstill.
“You… Don’t be a liar. This is a company and not a dormitory. You can’t just say it’s haunted.”
Cynthia Said but looked around because of the fear. As a result, when Gray’s pen fell onto the ground and made a sound, she was scared and ran into his arms.
“You…
You aren’t afraid of ghosts, are you?”
Gray, though making fun of Cynthia, who was afraid of ghosts.
Watching the girl in his arms, he held her particularly tight.
“Hush, don’t talk. Why do I think there’s someone else there hiding from us?”
Cynthia, who was so afraid that she became lost for words, had begun to tremble, which let Gray keep making fun of her.
“Don’t be afraid, I’m here.”
“After all, I’ve done many bad things, so they will catch me first.”
“Now, don’t be afraid. I’ll take you home.”
Hearing the words of Gray, Cynthia had no other choice. It was already midnight, and even going out to take a taxi was also very difficult.
So Cynthis compromised and sat in his car.
Cynthia pretended to sleep all the way, which Gray understood without much thought, but he also knew that some injuries in the heart were cured easily by one or two confessions.
Not until Gray’s car smoothly pulled over to her apartment, did she pretend to wake up.
“My boss, I arrive at my home. See you.”
“Our neighborhood doesn’t look safe, but it is. At least there aren’t any monsters.”
With the words said Cynthis then closed the car door and managed to walk toward her apartment despite the pain from her feet.
But since she got off, Gray had been following her steps, reluctant to leave.
“Gray!
I’m home, will you stop following me!”
Cynthia looked a little angry, roaring angrily in a lowered tone. Because she was afraid of disturbing neighbors, she tried to control the volume.
“Don’t mind me. Just keep going and deem me as a bodyguard.”
Gray looked innocent as if he was a kind bystander.
These two people stood downstairs for a good while. Thinking of what had happened last night, Cynthis was extremely unwilling to allow him to enter her home again.
“Gray, I warn you, If you follow me again, I will call the police!”
Do you have any idea what you’re doing right now?
Are you a scoundrel, or a criminal?
This time Cynthia did not have a trace of mercy for him. Her resistance to his love was expressed so clearly at that moment.
But Gray wasn’t affected by her words and said brazenly, “I move my house here, so I am a resident.”
We will be neighbors in the future and I hope we could help each other when one of us is in need.”
Cynthia looked at Gray’s hand, which was stretched out. She was somewhat reluctant to shake hands with him.
After all, shaking hands with him at this time meant she recognized him as a neighbor. What if he often came to bother her?
But she was even less convinced that someone like him will live here.
She had a trick to play, which she had learned from a foreign girl who pursued Isreal.
“Since you live here, do you mind me visiting?”
Does Olivia also move here?
If it is the case, that will be good. Olivia certainly doesn’t mind my visit, which can also save her from boredom.
Gray, isn’t it the case?”
Cynthia said while the corners of her mouth had shown a complacent and triumphant smile.
But she would never imagine that Gray agreed…
“Of course, I don’t mind your coming.
I will be bored to death by myself. I don’t mind you coming every day.”
With Gray saying that they arrived at the door of Cynthia’s apartment.
Before Cynthia opened her mouth to say something, Gray took out the key, ready to open the door.
