3rd person POV
Ruth emerged from behind, shocking Vivian, her presence sudden and unsettling. Freya, still trembling with fear, kept her eyes fixed on Ruth, her gaze paralyzed with terror. A mischievous smile played on Ruth’s lips, her eyes gleaming with a malevolent intensity.
Without hesitation, Ruth reached out to grab Freya’s arm, her intention clear, to silence Freya before she could reveal any secrets to Vivian. But Vivian was too quick, her reflexes honed from years of dealing with intense trainings from her Grandpa.
Vivian stepped forward, her eyes blazing with a fierce determination as she stood defensively in front of Ruth “Leave her alone, Ruth,” she said in a warning tone that etched with displeasure, her voice low and menacing.
Ruth’s smile wavered, her eyes sparkling with a raging glint as she bit on her lips. “Or what, Vivian?” she taunted, her voice dripping with malice. “You’ll beat me up? As what exactly huh? Aren’t you forgetting who I am and what I used to be, you remember back then in school? I don’t think so. No one dares to stop me so I suggest you stop fighting for what you can’t win just like your pathetic mother did!”
With a sudden burst of speed which seemed like a blur, Vivian launched herself at Ruth, her fists flying in a flurry of punches. Ruth, caught off guard, stumbled backward, her eyes widening in surprise at Vivian’s retaliation to her words. She spat out a mouthful of blood and glared at Vivian then rushed at her with full force.
The two women clashed in a heated fight of kicks and punches, their movements lightning-fast as they battled to bring down each other. Freya stood frozen in fear, gulping down heavily at the sight, her eyes held terror, she knew she was carrying a heavy truth that could either destroy her life entirely or make her dreams achieved. Her mind reeled with fear as she watched the scene. She was confused, she knew fully well that Ruth wasn’t the nicest person ever since she found out the truth about herself and Daniel, they had been in a dilemma and Ruth had predominantly, made them, used them as her pivotal defenses to carry out her plans on Vivian and Max including Mrs Hannah. But that was the sacrifice they could offer for Ruth to keep it a secret and no matter how guilty she felt for Vivian, Freya knew that she wouldn’t last long keeping the heavy secret with her and if anyone should be held custody, it was Ruth but as usual, she had no say especially not when Daniel had warned her with a threat alongside his girlfriend.
The fight didn’t seem to be ending as Vivian’s anger already gave her an initial advantage, and she landed several solid blows, sending Ruth crashing to the floor finally. But Ruth was far from defeated. With a snarl, she launched herself at Vivian, her fingers clawing at her face.
The fight was intense, the two women exchanging blows and neither gaining the upper hand. But slowly, Vivian’s training began to tell, and Ruth stumbled backward, her eyes blazing with fury and desperation.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Vivian pinned Ruth to the floor with a knee pressed into her chest. Ruth’s face was bruised and battered, her eyes blazing with hatred and defeat.
As Vivian stood up, her chest heaving with exertion, she reached out to take Freya’s hand to lead her out. But Ruth, in a last-ditch effort, grabbed a nearby bottle and slammed it into Vivian’s head, sending her crashing to the floor.
Vivian’s eyes widened in shock, and then her body went limp, her head cracking against the hard floor. Freya screamed, her voice piercing the air as Ruth stumbled to her feet, her eyes sparking with contentment.
For a moment, Ruth stood over Vivian’s prone body, her chest heaving with exertion, her eyes gleaming with malice. Then, with a sudden movement, she reached down and grabbed Freya’s arm, her grip like a vice.
“Let’s get out of here,” Ruth snarled, her voice dripping with malice. “We’ve got a lot to discuss, Freya. And Vivian won’t be bothering us anymore.”
As Ruth dragged Freya away, Vivian’s body lay motionless on the floor, her consciousness hanging low in the balance. The room was silent, the only sound was the slashing footsteps of Ruth pulling on Freya as she struggled against Ruth’s grip, but Ruth was too strong. She dragged Freya through the mansion, the house seemed deserted and silent. Freya’s mind was racing, her thoughts consumed by fear and uncertainty.
What did Ruth want from her? Why had she attacked Vivian? And what would happen to Vivian now that she was lying unconscious on the floor? Oh how she wished Max was here!
As they walked, the silence between them grew thicker, the tension palpable. Freya knew she had to think fast, to come up with a plan to escape from Ruth’s clutches. But for now, she was trapped, at the mercy of a woman who seemed to have no mercy at all. Ruth was vicious, desperate and enviously ambitious and Freya feared that something might go wrong at this point. She needed help, not just for herself but for Vivian as well and the only person that could abate that was Max.
Everything seemed to close in around them, the tension cast by the hallway growing longer and more sinister. Freya’s heart pounded in her chest, her senses on high alert as she struggled against her grip But Ruth was relentless, her grip on Freya’s was fierce. Freya knew she had to think fast, to come up with a plan to escape. But for now, she was trapped, at the mercy of a woman who seemed to have no mercy at all and without a second thoughts, she screamed!
And just like that, Ruth’s grip loosened and she used that medium, to dash out quickly to where Vivian laid unconscious but Ruth gave her a hot chase.
