“All twenty nine bottles are intact. Only one had a crack,” Jeremy reported from his desk while arranging the bottles containing the substance.
They successfully acquired the bag Anna hid in the trash bin she made mention of.
“This will do just fine, Alpha. We should have the cure in our hands in no time,” He said, smiling at Arnold, who was standing next to the desk, nursing his arm.
I hummed at his words before turning over to look into the room next to us.
My Anna was lying in there. She was fast asleep.
We had a crazy ride at the forest and ended up going eight rounds without catching a break.
When we were about taking the ninth round, Anna’s arousement finally came to a stop. She suddenly fell asleep under me, cuddling herself on the grass.
I didn’t disturb her sleep but carefully carried her in my arms and left the forest. With my strong sense, I was able to track down Arnold and Jeremy in the woods, drawing nearer to our location.
They were already searching the Woods looking for Anna and I. And when they found us, they looked dumbfounded.
“How long will she be asleep?” I asked Jeremy while looking at Anna.
I had to ask because of the way she dozed off like a machine that got turned off from the plug. Even in the car, with all the noises and rumbles on the road, she didn’t move or make a flinch.
“Um…” Jeremy dragged his words while leaving his seat to stand next to me. “I don’t really know. It’s the first time I’ll be attending to a last stage infected patient after intercourse. But from her reading, I can tell she’s sleeping just fine,” He reported, sliding his hands into his pocket.
That’s all I wanted to hear.
Jeremy went on to report about the substance in Anna’s blood. Thanks to the sex, the level of the infection had decreased. Meaning she won’t be going berserk like before, unless she’s being starved or ends up resisting too much like then.
“I made sure her inside was washed up properly, leaving no sperm behind. We can’t allow her taking in at this time. That will be a problem for the fetus.”
“Thank you,” I appreciated Jeremy’s effort, feeling calm.
He chuckled lightly and said, “It’s nothing, Alpha. I’m just doing my job.”
“No really, thank you,” I repeated, turning to face him.
“Lately I’ve been acting like an ass because of this work and… And I know I’ve acted crazy towards you because of that. Still, you didn’t get mad or quit on me despite my actions.”
“Quit on you? Come on Alpha,” Jeremy laughed, looking back at Anna. “Why will I do that to a friend?”
Friend?
“Okay, aside from being afraid of getting killed by the Mafia Lord, I’m still a member of your pack. There are other doctors out there who would have taken up this assignment for you, but you chose to stick with me despite the ups and downs involved. That shows how much you trust me,” He said, facing me once more with his smile spreading wide.
“I’m not just working for you because you’re Crescent pack’s Alpha, I’m doing all these because you have become a part of my world, you and Anna. She’s a great friend too, and… All I need is you all’s support and believe in me. That’s where I get my strength from,” He said, placing his hand on my shoulder.
Honestly, I didn’t know Jeremy felt that way towards me. I always viewed him as the best Doctor attending to my work and… And someone I can trust whenever it comes to cases that involves people I’m close to.
Now I see why Anna felt comfortable being around him. He’s a great guy.
“And also, about that quitting stuff…” I lifted my eyes at Jeremy and noticed how he rubbed his neck funnily, asking, “If I had taken that route, you’d have ended me, right?”
Hearing him, I smirked and patted him on the shoulder, giving him my honest reply, “You would have made a lot of friends six feet under the earth.”
“I’m glad I didn’t look in that direction.”
I chuckled, turning over to look into the room.
Arnold soon stood at my other side, asking Jeremy, “You ran a test on the Alpha. What’s the level of his infection?”
“The report wasn’t clear. He’ll have to come in again after twenty four hours so we can run another test on him,” Jeremy responded.
After he got Anna admitted, he didn’t hesitate to attend to me and check the level of the spread in my body. When the report came back, he looked confused.
“It seems after the intimacy, the spread doesn’t show itself yet, that’s why I want us to wait for twenty four hours before we go again and check.”
“Hmm, what if he’s immune to the drug? That’ll be really cool.”
“Yeah, that’ll mean we can use his body to create a stronger cure against the infection. A perfect tool of study.”
“That’ll be a hard task. The Aloha won’t allow himself to be used as a field of study. You need to get him chained down before you extracting the immunity from his body. I can help with that.”
“You seem to have forgotten that I’m standing here, right?” I asked, frowning at these two blockheads next to me.
They drifted away into their conversation and forgot their Alpha is right in the middle!
“Oh, yeah. Sorry, we got carried away. It’s such an interesting topic though,” My Beta apologized with a smile, attending to his arm.
I asked, watching how he stretched it back and forth, “Are you sure you don’t want to get it checked again?”
“It’s fine, Alpha. Jeremy already took a look at it. It should straighten out after a few more stretches,” He said, giving it one more pull before settling it down.
“I’ll be fine,” He assured me with a beam on his face.
I curved my lip into a smile, before my attention was taken by Jeremy, who had a dirty question to ask.
“This is for research purpose, I swear. How did you feel when you released your semen in Anna? Was there a strong sensation you felt all around your penis?”
“Are you seriously asking me that question?” I squinted my eyes at him, giving him the death stare.
He didn’t feel weird that he’s trying to get such an information from me. All he said was answers to his findings. ” Well, you are now my patient, and as your doctor, I need to understand what happens inside and outside your body.”
“Well that’s not happening, Genius. I’m not spilling anything out,” I scoffed, taking my gaze back into the room, just to end this topic.
But someone wasn’t going to let it slide that easily.
“The amount of cum flushed out of Anna was around 30 to 40 millilitre. If I want to calculate the number of rounds you guys went, I’ll say five or six or even seven.”
“Okay that’s enough, Jeremy,” I groaned, flashing my eyes at him.
“Wow, was it that much?” Arnold gasped, poking his head into the matter.
“Very abnormal for a normal man’s…”
“Don’t you dare say anything about that or else,” I threatened Jerry, who went shut at once.
“It’s for research studies. That helps me with my work too, you know,” He frowned, heading back to his desk.
Arnold laughed and asked, wrapping his arm across my shoulder, “From Alpha to Beta, how many rounds?”
I didn’t want to answer him but since he’s my Beta, I gave in and told him the number. “Eight times.”
“Wow! That’s some gun you got there,” Arnold exclaimed, chuckling at this.
I was about to laugh at his reaction but… “Eight rounds is a waist breaker. I’m noting that down,” Jeremy said, eavesdropping on our conversation.
My face went swollen in anger when I realized Arnold purposely asked that to give Jeremy what he wanted.
When I turned to face my Beta, he shrugged at me and said, “Part of the treatment, Boss. You know I can’t help it.”
“Screw you both,” I smirked, causing both of them to laugh.
Calming his laughter, my Beta said, expressing his care for Anna and I, “I’m just glad that you two are okay. But you took a big step there.”
“I know. It was the best option for her, and I’m glad that I intervened,” I said, placing my hand on the window to Anna’s room.
And the moment I did that, Anna woke up!
She turned over in her bed and carefully pulled herself up for a seat, looking around confusingly.
On seeing this, my heart rose with joy. She’s finally awake.
“Jeremy,” Arnold called, getting his attention to the room, while I made my move, hurrying to the entrance to see her.
I went in and found Anna trying to get on her feet. When she saw me, “Diego,” She uttered my name with a smile, taking a step forward.
“WOW!”
“CAREFUL!” I yelled out, speedily rushing to hold Anna before she fell down.
Her legs were wobbling when she made a move, and that almost sent her kissing the ground.
“Are you okay?” I asked, carefully sitting down with her.
“Why do I feel so heavy from my abdomen to my feet?” She asked, looking at her legs.
“It feels like I got beaten down to my legs,” She described the feeling, dragging herself back into the bed.
Jeremy, who came in with Arnold, came closer to the bed and explained to us, “It’s nothing to worry about. This happens when you experience intercourse for the first time. Especially one that ended up with a lot of rounds.”
He grinned at me, making me wish I could send my fist right into his face.
“But with just the right amount of rest, you’ll be back to your feet again.”
“Oh, thank you Jerry. And the drugs? You guys got it right?” Anna asked, getting a bit worried.
I felt it from her grip around my hand. She wants to know if the mission was successful.
To her delight, Arnold confirmed that we had the substance in our possession. That pleased Anna well.
“That’s better,” She sighed, resting her head on my shoulder.
“We can finally get a cure for this infection.”
“Yes, and it’s all thanks to you,” I said, praising Anna’s bravery.
She lifted her gaze to stare into mine. Then with her cheeks flushing red, Anna gave me a smile.
My heart glowed while staring into her eyes. I ran my hand carefully across her face, feeling tempted to kiss her soft lips.
“I think we’ll leave you two alone. Come on Jeremy,” Arnold said, reading my body language.
He had to drag Jeremy along, before that crazy doctor gets too engrossed in his work and starts asking questions.
Once they left, Anna said in a dull voice, “I’m sorry.”
“Huh?” I uttered, dropping my gaze on her.
“I disobeyed your order and also got you infected. I… I just wanted to be a part of the mission and help out too. Maybe if I had told you the offer Damian made, you would have handled it properly without doing what you had to do,” She said, feeling guilty about the sex.
But I can understand her emotions. She’s just worried about my health, and… Probably afraid I’d flame out on her like before.
But I won’t do that to her ever again. I made a promise to never let my rage ruin our relationship.
I don’t want her leaving me.
“Is that everything?” I asked, wrapping my arms tight around her body.
She stayed silent for a few seconds before responding to that question. The exact answer I was waiting to hear from her. “I also wanted you to see that I can be a Mafia too,” She frowned her face, looking at me.
Seeing her face expression, I chuckled, kissing her on the forehead.
“I think you have proven to be a badass in this field, my naughty girl.” I winked, making Anna happy.
I meant what I said. Anna has really surprised me with her zeal and desperation to be a part of my world.
When the guards explained her operation in saving me from Xavier’s plan, I was marvelled. She was the one who shot at the Beta, before he could pull his trigger at me.
And as for Damian, his own story got me laughing with joy.
Arnold got a report that he was rushed to a private hospital with a bullet in his leg. My Anna had shot him before making her escape. She has claimed her right as my dangerous Mafia Queen.
“Does that mean we can go on missions together like before?” She asked curiously, getting cozy in my hold.
With a smile, I said, “Of course. Right after your recovery. You need to get well first.”
“I will,” She yawned, dozing back to sleep in no time.
I didn’t place her down to get some rest, Instead I held her in my arms, feeling her warmth and her scent.
I can feel the string holding us together getting stronger and tighter. I wonder if she felt the connection at the forest.
