After packing his luggage, Anthony was about to leave when he ran into Mollie.
“Where are you going so early in the morning?”
Anthony didn’t explain much, only saying, “I have some matters to handle back home…”
“You’re going back to the country?”
Anthony nodded and paused, as if he had something more to say.
“By the way… I need to tell you something. Callie is in Switzerland.”
“What?”
A look of surprise and joy flashed across Mollie’s face. “Did you see her?”
Anthony glanced at his watch. “It’s a complicated situation. I’ve got to go now… Could you do me a favor? Miss Marsh is currently at odds with Mr. Oconnor. If you happen to see her, could you put in a good word for Mr. O’Connor? They really can’t afford any more drama between them… Please.”
Mollie wanted to say something more.
But Anthony had hurried off. Watching his departing figure, Mollie couldn’t help but mutter a few complaints.
“What the heck, he didn’t even explain clearly…”
But just thinking that Callie was in Switzerland made Mollie restless.
Callie had just arrived at the second round of interviews at Golden Key and was about to park her car in the garage.
Unexpectedly, a red sedan swerved and blocked her view.
Callie frowned slightly and honked the horn.
The opposite car window rolled down, revealing a familiar face staring straight at her.
Callie was stunned.
A look of surprise mixed with joy flashed in her eyes.
Mollie on the other side smiled, her lips curving.
“Anthony told me you were in Switzerland, so I came looking for you. When you left without saying a thing, did you still see me as a friend?”
Reunited with an old friend.
Callie raised an eyebrow slightly.
When she left without informing Mollie, it was clear that Mollie held some resentment.
Mollie was indeed a bit angry.
But seeing Callie, Mollie knew that her worries over the past two years were ultimately unnecessary. She seemed… to be doing well.
“Long time no see…” Looking at Mollie, it was as if time had left no trace on her. However, over the past two years, she had clearly matured.
She had become more competent, almost like a strong-willed woman who appeared tough on the surface but was actually tender-hearted.
Mollie snorted coldly, “Don’t think I’ll forgive you…”
They chose a cafe and sat by the window.
Although Mollie was angry about Callie’s sudden departure, she also understood her reasons.
Back then, under those circumstances, leaving was perhaps a good choice for Callie.
“When Anthony first told me you were in Switzerland, I didn’t believe it. Over the past two years, you’ve cut off all contact, which made me worry a lot…”
“So, how have you been these two years… Are you doing well?”
Callie stirred her coffee and smiled, nodding. “I’m doing well.”
“Nelson… Have you seen him?”
Mentioning Nelson didn’t elicit much of an emotional response from Callie. She remained calm, as if she were talking about an ordinary person.
She nodded. “I’ve seen him…”
Her reaction surprised Mollie.
Two years…
It seemed she had moved on…
But Nelson… Thinking about what she had witnessed as an observer over the past two years, Mollie couldn’t help but sigh.
Two years wasn’t long or short, but many things had happened.
For instance, the situation in Ylosea had undergone dramatic changes. The once chaotic situation had now become clear. Oconnor Group had become dominant, and Nelson had truly become the unchallenged leader of Ylosea.
