Seraphina bid farewell to Gracie and Brenda.
“Lord Leo, please take care of Seraphina,” Gracie entrusted Leo with a serious look.
“Ms. Wright, rest assured, I will protect Seraphina, and we will return!” Leo nodded confidently.
After saying their goodbyes, Leo took Seraphina’s hand, and they vanished from Falling Blossom Palace.
Above Star Moon Lake, the Sea Serpent King, dressed in his deep blue robes, observed Leo and the woman beside him with his azure eyes.
“Human boy, why are you bringing a woman with you to the Starfall Realm?” the Sea Serpent King asked curiously.
On their way to Star Moon Lake, Leo had already explained his relationship with the Sea Serpent King to Seraphina.
“She’s heading to the Central Realm, and it’s on my way. Let’s go, Sea Serpent King!”
“Very well, I’ll accompany you,” the Sea Serpent King nodded, indifferent to Seraphina’s presence.
In truth, the Sea Serpent King was quite interested in visiting the Starfall Realm. The complete awakening of his bloodline required opportunities that staying in the small confines of Star Moon Lake could not provide.
With that, the three figures transformed into streaks of light shooting into the sky.
High above, Leo waved his sleeve, summoning a massive jet-black flying vessel before them.
In a flash, the three were aboard the vessel. With a thought, Leo issued a command to it.
The Shadow Black Skiff turned into a black streak of light, heading northward.
The flying vessel had reached the level of a mid-grade Spirit Treasure and had developed a tool spirit. Thus, it would automatically fly in the direction its master desired once commanded.
Of course, flying the vessel consumed a significant amount of Spirit Stones, but for Leo, Spirit Stones were not in short supply.
Standing on the deck and feeling the speed of the vessel, the Sea Serpent King remarked, “Though you humans have weak bodies, your talent for forging Spirit Treasures is enviable.”
“Let’s go inside,” Leo suggested.
The three of them entered the interior of the vessel.
The main hall of the vessel was spacious, with neatly arranged tables and chairs. Leo waved his right hand, and a blue Spirit Scroll flew out from his Storage Sack.
This Spirit Scroll was something Leo had acquired on Pill Sovereign Island. It contained detailed maps for reaching the Starfall Realm and records of Ancient Tyrant Pill Sovereign’s experiences across the Starfall Realm, Central Realm, and Southern Marches Realm.
As the Spirit Scroll unfurled, it emitted a glow, projecting a virtual map into the air.
All three turned their attention to the map. Leo pointed to a location on it and said, “Our first stop is this place called Commonplace City.”
With his gesture, a red dot appeared on the map.
“Commonplace City?” The Sea Serpent King raised an eyebrow.
Leo continued, “Commonplace City is one of the largest cities in the Southern Marches Realm and the closest to us. It has a Cross-Domain Teleportation Array. At our current speed, it will take about ten days to reach it. During our flight, we can cultivate inside the cabin.”
“In that case, call me when we arrive,” said the Sea Serpent King before finding a cultivation room within the cabin and entering it.
Leo and Seraphina also chose separate cultivation rooms for themselves.
Inside his room, looking at the Spirit Scroll in his hand, Leo mused to himself, “Before heading to the Starfall Realm, I need to stop by Tidesworth in the Central Realm. The route will need slight adjustments later. Also, I must seize every moment to cultivate on our way to the Central Realm.”
The Central Realm was teeming with powerful individuals. The Divine Sword Pavilion was the most formidable force in Tidesworth and should not be underestimated.
Only by strengthening oneself could one truly rely on solving problems.
Leo put away the Spirit Scroll and focused his mind. He took out hundreds of High-Quality Spirit Stones from his Storage Sack and began cultivating.
The Shadow Black Skiff transformed into a black streak of light, traveling day and night across the sky.
For several days straight, Leo alternated between breaking through star apertures and practicing secret techniques inherited from Ancient Tyrant Pill Sovereign.
Though Ancient Tyrant Pill Sovereign was obsessed with alchemy throughout his life, as a Spirit God realm expert, his cultivation was naturally strong. Additionally, as a seventh-grade alchemist, he received generous rewards from various powerful figures seeking his alchemical services. These rewards included secret techniques.
Leo selected three secret techniques suitable for himself from Ancient Tyrant Pill Sovereign’s legacy.
The first was called Frostblade Pointer, an offensive technique that concentrated icy power at one’s fingertip to pierce through the sky with a single point.
The second was Skywalker Cloudstep, a top-tier movement technique that allowed one to walk on air as if floating like clouds.
The third was Ocean’s Heart Net, a binding technique that could weave nets in void space to trap enemies. Once ensnared, enemies would suffer from heart fire burning within them, gradually losing their will to fight and diminishing their combat strength.
Ocean’s Heart Net was created by Ancient Tyrant Pill Sovereign by combining other techniques with Nether Flame’s properties. Leo decided to practice it first.
Inside Shadow Black Skiff, all three were immersed in cultivation as time flew by swiftly.
Half a month later…
Leo stretched lazily and took a hot shower before stepping out of his cabin. He had mastered all three secret techniques by now.
Shortly after that moment passed by quickly; both Sea Serpent King and Seraphina emerged from their respective cultivation rooms too.
Standing together on deck against wind gusts blowing past them…
This half-month journey had been relatively peaceful; occasional encounters with flying beasts were easily dealt with using Shadow Black Skiff’s automatic attack feature…
Looking down below revealed vast plains stretching far beneath them…
“We’re almost at Commonplace City?” asked Sea Serpent King while gazing into distance…
Leo nodded affirmatively: “About an hour left…”
Just then…
Leo frowned slightly as he turned towards northeast direction…
From distant horizon came several streaks of light rushing towards them desperately…
“Someone’s approaching us,” noted Sea Serpent King intently…
Leo squinted slightly. “They’re being pursued…”
Leading trio exuded panicked aura while fleeing frantically…
Behind them followed five fierce figures, chasing relentlessly like cats hunting mice…
Clearly noticing Leo trio’s vessel ahead; the fleeing trio headed towards it desperately…
Among those being chased were an elderly man along with young male-female duo…
Elderly man wore blood-stained clothes; aura weak; cultivation level mid-stage Spirit Saint…
Young duo bore expressions filled with panic; one cultivated upper-stage Spirit Sect level while other mid-stage Spirit Sect level…
“Senior! Please save us! Our Moore Family from Commonplace City will reward you generously!” cried out the young man desperately even before reaching vessel’s vicinity…
Leo’s eyes gleamed momentarily; journey from Martial Dynasty till now had been tranquil; unexpected trouble arose near Commonplace City instead…
Moments later, the fleeing trio reached the vessel closely, followed by the pursuing quintet…
“Hehe… No matter who you seek help from today… You’ll all die!” laughed bald-headed man among pursuers revealing yellowed teeth sinisterly…
