Aurora’s Pov
I laid on the bed for a while, my body still tingling from everything that just happened. Ryan was beside me, watching me with a satisfied look on his face. I had never felt so good in my life. I never knew being touched could make me feel like someone.
He fucking saw my pussy. BARE!
I was so embarrassed to even stand up and look him in the eye. But as much as I wanted to stay there, I had things to do.
I tried to sit up. My legs were not working with me. Ryan chuckled beside me, clearly amused.
I shot him a glare. “Stop looking at me like that.”
“Like what?” he asked, still smirking.
I ignored him and slowly got out of bed. “I need to wash up,” I said, heading toward the bathroom.
“I’m coming with you,” Ryan announced casually.
I spun around. “No, you are not coming with me.”
His smirk deepened. “Why?”
I blinked, struggling for an answer. “Nothing… because I need privacy, and all.”
Ryan raised his hands like he was surrendering. “Fine, go ahead.”
I rolled my eyes, took my underwear that was lying on the floor and hurried into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me.
I hope he didn’t see me pick it up.
As I let the warm water run down my skin, I could still feel Ryan’s lips on me down there. The thought made my face burn. I quickly washed up, trying to push those thoughts away.
Once I was done, I grabbed a towel and stepped out. Ryan was still on the bed, looking at me with that knowing smile. I ignored him, went to the wardrobe, and grabbed some undies. Then, for some reason, I took them back into the bathroom to put them on.
Why did I do that? He has already seen you.
He hasn’t seen my breasts and I’m definitely not dressing up in front of him.
After a moment of talking to myself and putting on my cloth I came out again.
I stood awkwardly, pretending to look for something. Then, I turned to Ryan. “You should wash up now. I’ll wait for you.”
Ryan hummed, stood up, and walked over to me. He placed a soft peck on my cheek. “I won’t take long.”
As soon as I heard the water running, I rushed out of the bedroom.
I had things to do. I hurried through the hallways, searching for Leila, and Mira. When I finally found them, I wasted no time.
“How is everything going?” I asked.
Leila and Mira exchanged a glance. Mira nodded. “I’ve got everything prepared for the cake, a day before the ceremony, I will make it.”
I sighed in relief. “Good. Now, I need to find Caleb. He needs to finalize the entertainment. It’s getting too late.”
Leila and Mira nodded in agreement.
I turned quickly, ready to leave, I walked through the halls for a bit before I bumped into someone.
That someone was Elliot.
“Hi Elliot, How are you?” I asked.
“More than excited,” he said with a wide smile.
I looked up at him. “Are the guests’ arrangements coming up good?”
Elliot nodded. “Yes, they are.”
“Good, thank you so much for your help” I said, exhaling. “I need to find Caleb and make sure he handles the entertainment.”
Elliot crossed his arms. “Already taken care of. I told Caleb about it earlier. You don’t have to worry.”
I blinked. “Oh. Thank you so much, Elliot.”
“Go and enjoy your time with Ryan,” he added with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes but smiled. “Whatever.”
With that, I turned and quickly headed back to the room before Ryan could get suspicious.
Once I reached, I opened the grand door to his room that would probably cost a fortune.
It can sustain me for life.
I stepped into the room and was amazed by the sight that was right before me.
Ryan was already dressed, but not in his usual sharp dress code. This time, he wore a dark, loose-fitting shirt with the top buttons undone, revealing a glimpse of his toned chest.
The sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, exposing the veins in his forearms. His black pants hung low on his hips, fitting just right, making him look both dangerous and effortlessly powerful.
But it wasn’t just his clothes that had me standing there like an idiot. It was his wet hair, slightly tousled, the way the drops of water slid down his sharp jaw. He looked so breathtaking, so devastatingly intense that, at that moment, I knew I would do anything for him.
I swallowed hard.
His piercing eyes met mine. “Where did you go?”
I quickly snapped out of my daze. “I… went to see Mira and Lily. I wanted to know how they were doing.”
Ryan tilted his head, narrowing his eyes. “Since when did you start checking on them?” His voice was calm, but his smirk told me he wasn’t buying it. “What about how I’m doing?”
I walked closer to him, wrapping my arms around his neck. “I know you’re doing okay,” I whispered.
“Who told you that?” He asked as he held me by my waist.
“I see it in your eyes.”
As I leaned in to kiss him, everything changed.
Ryan groaned in pain and suddenly dropped to the floor.
His hands gripped his head, his entire body shaking. His breathing turned ragged. When he lifted his face, his eyes were completely black again.
Terror struck my chest.
“Aurora,” he gritted out. “Run.”
I shook my head. “I’m not going to leave you.”
“Please go,” he pleaded, his voice strained. “Please, just listen to me. I’m going to hurt you.”
I refused to move. My heart was racing, but deep down, I knew he wouldn’t hurt me. We were in this together. I wasn’t going to shy away from this.
I cupped his face gently. “We’re going to find a solution,” I whispered. “Just calm down. Try to breathe.”
But then-his claws shot out.
I gasped, my hands trembling.
“Calm down, Ryan. Please.” My voice was soft but firm. “Ryan, look at me. Breathe.”
But he wasn’t himself anymore.
I instinctively took a step back, ready to run if I had to. My mind screamed at me to run, but my heart told me to stay. This can’t be happening.
This shouldn’t be happening.
I was trying to process what to do and how to help him, but then he lunged at me.
A scream tore from my throat. But it wasn’t just fear. It was something more. Something powerful.
“Ryan!” I shouted, my voice echoing through the room.
The moment his name left my lips, everything stilled.
Ryan stopped mid-air. His body shook violently before he crashed to the ground. When he looked up, his eyes were back to normal.
The door burst open.
Elliot and Caleb stormed in, their faces filled with panic. “What happened?” Elliot demanded.
“It happened again,” I whispered, my whole body still shaking.
Elliot rushed to me. “Are you hurt?” His eyes searched me for any injuries.
I shook my head, still too stunned to speak.
Meanwhile, Caleb hurried to Ryan, who was standing in the corner, his face down, his hands clenched into tight fists.
Caleb turned back to me, his expression unreadable. “His calm, how did you get him to calm down?”
I blinked at him. “I… I don’t know. It just happened. I felt something…some kind of power. I don’t know where it came from.”
Elliot frowned. “That’s not possible.”
Caleb’s eyes darkened. “Even the Moon Goddess couldn’t calm him. We always had to lock him up and wait for him to settle down through the night.”
Elliot’s gaze bore into me. “How did you do it, Aurora?”
I looked at Ryan, still standing in the corner, silent and unmoving.
I didn’t know the answer.
