Arya’s POV
Just like I expected Kelsi was waiting for me at home.
I sat through Kelsi’s words. She didn’t spare me at all. She poured her venom on me. I had tried to make her understand but she was not having it.
” Please hear me out”
“No!” Kelsi almost yelled. She gasped recognizing how loud she was getting. ” No” she said, taking in a deep breath and then she looked away. I wrung my hands on my lap, like a little child who was being scolded. Kelsi can get like that when ever she gets angry.
With how pissed she was with me, how could I tell her I was almost raped. How could I tell that Chase was cursed and brought me here to heal himself. It was not because he wanted his heir or anything. He had his selfish gains.
“So why did you tell me you were going to end things with Jake?”
“I ended things with him”
“Then why did he come here yesterday?” She said standing, her hands on her waist. I sighed. I stood too.
“I don’t know ” I shrugged. ” You know how he comes over without telling me anything”
Kelsi rolled her eyes. ” Oh really?”
“Yes”
“And you expect me to believe you?”
“Do you have any other choice?” I asked. Kelsi went quiet. She backed me. Suddenly a thought came through.
“Wait why are we fighting over the alpha?”
“Well if you did not insult him. Call him a beast, apologize and also go out with Jake, his rival, maybe all this would not have happened” she snapped.
I looked at her and knew instantly that I could not win. Like there was no way she would listen to my own side of the story.
“Okay okay” I decided to try one more time. ” Let’s sit and talk please”
“What do you want to talk about?” She retorted. Her eyes were fiery and it didn’t look like she was going to calm down.
“Kelsi I know I was wrong. I know I messed up but you have to listen to what I have to say.”
She scowled, recrossed her arms on her chest. ” No”
My eyes widened. “Kelsi” I whispered. ” I thought we were best friends.
She sighed. ” Yes we are”
“So why don’t you want to hear me out?” She went quiet and that was when she went to Sit. She wouldn’t look at me and that was how I knew she was not going to talk to me again.
I quietly left the sitting room for my bed room. I was already tired.

The morning after that, I went out to have breakfast. Everyone was staring at me but I didn’t care. I knew my days here were numbered.
No one was actually talking to me but I didn’t care.
I went to my son’s room and began to pack his things. We will leave as soon as he got back from the trip.
“Your highness” I turned around swiftly thinking that Chase had come in, only to see a maid behind me. I scowled.
“Please Don’t call me that. Call me Miss Nina”
She nodded.” I’m sorry miss Nina”
I nodded and continued packing the clothes.
“You don’t have to clean up his room, we can do it”.
I shook my head. ” He’s my son, anything I do for him is not work” she smiled nodding.
“So why are you cleaning” she glanced at the clothes and toys on the floor.
I opened my mouth to speak but I didn’t say a word. What if she tells the alpha I was planning to leave? That will not be good.
I gave her my most Charming smile.” I’m good… I mean I just want to do these things because-” I didn’t have sn excuse. I hate I was a bad liar. what should I say-“because I miss my son”
I stared at her. She had a big question mark on her head. I was almost sure she wasn’t going to buy my lie when she slapped on a big smile in her face.
“Awww” she pouted in this cute way. I raised an eyebrow. Was she alright? ” I get it now” the pout changed into a smile and I smiled too.
And then she walked out of chamberlain’s room. i sat down to continue what I was doing. I blinked thinking about what had happened. I shook my head. I had to hasten up before another maid would meet me or worse it was Chase himself.
I finished cleaning up and packing his clothes and toys in a small bag. I put the bag in his wardrobe. Hiding it amongst other things. When I was through I decided to take a walk in the garden. While I was enjoying the grassy scenery, I bumped into two ladies of the court.
They glared at me.
I rolled my eyes at them. People can never stop hating. I didn’t engage with them as I was still caught up in my own head. The things Jake said had not left my head. Not even once.
That was the reason I was sane. Waiting for the time my son would be back and I’ll leave this horrible pack. It didn’t take long, I began to feel bored. Lonely maybe. Kelsi was not talking to me. No body was talking to me.
I took out my phone and called my son. It rang and stopped. I sat up well. Again?
I tried his number and I was about to start panicking when it kept ringing and no body was picking, then he picked.
“Hi mum” came his high pitched reply. I smiled. What was the occasion? He seemed happy. Too happy? Was it sugar.
“Hi Cham” I said. ” Where are you?*
“We are at the park. The amusement park… called Disney”
I squinted. Amusement pack? ” Wait I thought you were preparing to come home Tomorrow?”
“Yes but I think plans changed” he said
Who change the plans without telling me? ” Okay honey. Please give the phone to your Maid”
“Hello your highness” she greeted. I gritted my teeth. If I was in a better mood I would have corrected her but that was the least of my worries
“Courtney why are you guys at the amusement pack?*
“Your highness, it’s the alpha”
“What?”
“He changed the plans”
My heart pounded and I scowled. ” Okay” and I hung up. I stood and began going to his study. Why the hell will he make changes without telling me?
I deserve to know everything about my son. He was mine too. I don’t have to be the Luna to be recognized as his mother.
