Chapter 65
Tessy’s POV
I explained everything that had been happening with Anthony to Elizabeth, and she held me firm with curiosity written in her eyes, “Don’t tell me they caught you?”
“Well, Eddy almost did!” I said.
“OMG!! I told you about this from the beginning, I warned you to be careful because I know it’s going to be too risky, damn it!!
“Calm down, at least listen to the rest part of my encounter okay!” I added and she stopped talking.
“Well Anthony whispered to me telling me to remain hidden, he will distract Eddy to the garden and then I can return to my room, so the plan was successful,” I explained.
“Please you need to stop those wild adventures of yours okay, I am certain next time you won’t be lucky.”
“I know we will be lucky, it’s so fun, I don’t think I can ever forget about that memory.” I added with a smile and she shook her head saying, “You are one finished girl, I hope you know that.” She reminded me and I agreed because Anthony is my doom, but do I care? Provided I am still with him.
“So tell me, is there a guy you are liking in this hospital?”
“A big no!” She answered in a rush which made me feel there was more for me to know.
“There is definitely someone you are crushing on, so tell me about it, who is this handsome guy I don’t know about?” I asked with a wink but she was not ready to open up.
“I said there is no one, sweet Christ, can you just let me be?”
“No sweetheart, I need to know every detail of the one that has captured my friend’s heart and I also think whoever the person is, he deserves an award,” I added.
“Let’s just sign out and leave the hospital already, have you forgotten we are to get a gift for your fiance’s mother.”
“That’s true, her birthday is tomorrow, gosh I wish it could extend a little so I can have more fun with him.”
She hit my head saying, “Wake up from your slumber and face reality, you are getting married to Eddy when you are done with fun because you still don’t have the plan to cancel the wedding all because your entire head is occupied by a man’s dick.”
I acted like I was crying, stamping my feet on the ground, “Do you really have to remind me about it?”
“Come on let’s sign everything needed and leave.”
“Okay.”
We signed out of the hospital, and I couldn’t shake off the lingering thoughts of Anthony. Elizabeth noticed my distant gaze and shot me a knowing glance.
As we hailed a taxi, Elizabeth broke the silence. “Earth to Tessy! Focus on the task at hand finding a gift for Eddy’s mom.”
I smiled, shaking off the reverie. “Right! Let’s get a beautiful necklace.”
We arrived at Female Accessories, a trendy boutique. Elizabeth helped me choose a stunning pearl necklace, perfect for Mrs. Wilson’s birthday.
As we paid, Elizabeth reminded me, “Don’t forget, tomorrow’s celebration will be crucial. Be careful, okay?”
I nodded, gratitude welling up. “Thanks for being here for me, You’re the best.”
Elizabeth smiled. “I’ll be around tomorrow evening. Don’t worry.”
We parted ways outside the boutique, and I watched Elizabeth walk away. Suddenly, Jackson flashed in my thoughts.
Why Jackson? I hadn’t thought about him in ages, anyway, I wondered how he was doing.
Shrugging off the nostalgia, I hailed another taxi, lost in thought.
As I settled into the ride, my mind drifted back to Anthony. Tomorrow’s birthday celebration loomed, and I couldn’t wait to see him again tonight for another wild fun.
The taxi stopped in front of the estate, jolting me back to reality.

The big day finally came, it was Eddy’s mom’s birthday and we had a lot of work to do.
As I stepped into the garden, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride. The event planner, Sophia, and her team had transformed the space into a breathtaking celebration area.
“Place the cake on the crystal pedestal, center stage,” Sophia instructed her team.
The majestic, five-tiered cake glistened with gold leaf and delicate sugar flowers, matching Mrs. Wilson’s elegant style.
“Tessy, what do you think?” Sophia asked, seeking my approval.
“It’s stunning,” I replied, eyes widening.
Eddy approached, inspecting the setup. “Mom will love this.”
The live band, tucked away in a cozy corner, began to tune their instruments. Mrs. Wilson had handpicked them, raving about their jazz performances.
“Position the string lights around the dance floor,” Sophia directed.
Her team wove the twinkling lights through the garden’s lush greenery, casting a magical ambiance.
“Perfect,” I whispered, envisioning the evening’s festivities.
Eddy’s mom had requested a photo booth, which Sophia’s team placed near the garden’s entrance. A customized backdrop featuring Mrs. Wilson’s name and age sparkled with glitter.
“Place the flowers around the garden, alternating between red roses and white lilies,” Sophia instructed.
The team dispersed, arranging the blooms with precision.
As the final touches fell into place, the garden radiated elegance. Mrs. Wilson’s 50th birthday celebration would be unforgettable.
“Ready?” Sophia asked, surveying the setup.
I nodded, exchanging a smile with Eddy. “Ready.”
But amidst the beauty, my mind whispered where was Anthony?
As I turned, I spotted Rachael gesturing to someone behind me. I followed her gaze and my face lit up with a smile.
“Elizabeth!” I exclaimed, opening my arms for a hug.
Elizabeth rushed over, embracing me warmly. “Hey, girl! This place looks amazing!”
I beamed, pleased she liked the setup. “Thanks! Sophia’s team did an incredible job.”
Elizabeth’s eyes widened as she took in the garden’s transformation. “Wow, the cake is stunning! And the lights… it’s like a fairy tale.”
Rachael smiled, happy to see us reunited. “I’ll leave you two to catch up. I need to check on the catering.”
As Rachael walked away, Elizabeth turned to me. “I’m so glad I made it! How’s the prep going?”
“Almost done,” I replied. “Eddy’s mom will be thrilled.”
We strolled around the garden, inspecting the final touches. Elizabeth oohed over the photo booth and aahed at the flower arrangements.
“This is going to be an unforgettable night,” Elizabeth said, squeezing my arm.
I grinned, feeling grateful for her support. “Thanks for being here, Means a lot.”
Sophia approached clipboard in hand. “Ladies, shall we finalize the seating arrangements?”
We nodded, diving into the details. The party was taking shape, and I couldn’t wait for Mrs. Wilson’s big entrance.
Eddy approached me and said to me, “My mom’s guests are arriving already and your dad is here as well.”
My face lit up with a bright smile. “Dad’s here? Already? That’s amazing!”
I couldn’t wait to see him, hug him, and catch up.
Eddy’s expression, however, didn’t match my enthusiasm. His eyes clouded, and his smile faltered.
“Tessy, there’s a little problem,” he said, his voice laced with caution.
My heart skipped a beat. Oh no, don’t tell me…
“Dad and Uncle Anthony…” Eddy’s voice trailed off.
My mind raced with worst-case scenarios. Did Dad learn about my secret? About Anthony?
I froze, my smile frozen in place.
TBC.
