Chapter 56
Tessy’s POV
“Dad!!” I called him immediately and he had the towel wrapped around his neck.
“Tessy, I didn’t know you were around, I will join you in the living room, let me get dressed.” He said to me and I nodded.
In less than ten minutes, I was seated with my father in the living room, I could tell from his looks that he was unhappy but just trying to fake his smile because of me. In the same vein I was so eager to find out about his tattoo. He is my father and I am certain he will tell me about it, I concluded.
“Is there something on your mind?” Dad inquired as he could see through me.
“I heard from Mom that she left, does that mean no hope for you two?” I was blunt with my question.
“Don’t worry about that okay? Your mom and I will be fine, so tell me, how are you doing? Are you hungry? I can get us something to eat.” I know he will try to do this, well I will leave that for the adults to handle themselves since I am just a kid in their eyes.
“I’m okay dad, I never knew you got tattoos!” I finally said it out and I noticed the reaction on his face, he forced a brief smile saying, “Just regular tattoos.” He said.
“So what inspired you to draw a tattoo on your body?” I questioned wanting to know why because there is something different about it, it’s so similar to that of Anthony, or am I assuming things?
“I drew it because I was inspired by someone when I was much younger, so no big deal.” He added and for some reason, I felt he was lying to me, but how can I prove it? I just had to play along.
“I guess you did a lot of things while you were younger, care to tell me more about it??” I asked and his attitude told me he didn’t want to talk about it.
“Well I didn’t do much, just the workaholic I was, mine was boring so tell me, is your posting out?” He asked and I nodded my head telling him about the hospital I got posted to, and how excited I was that Elizabeth would also be with me as well. Our conversation lasted for hours, seeing he got an emergency call at work I had to return to my place.
I brought out my diary and wrote out all the confusion playing in my head, especially the new update of the tattoo I saw on Sophia’s body and then my father’s body. Why do I feel I am the only idiot in everyone’s midst who has no idea about what is taking place presently? I need to know, I hope I don’t end up in more danger trying to know the truth.
I decided to call my mom to find out from her why Dad has those tattoos on, he must have shared the truth with mom and he would be too busy at work to call Mom to lie to me if I should ask him.
I brought out my phone immediately and dialed Mom’s number, at first she didn’t pick up the call and when she finally saw my missed calls, she called back. At that moment I was going through some topics in my textbook. I answered her call and placed my earpiece on to talk to her.
“I am sorry my darling daughter for not picking up your calls immediately, I left my phone.” She explained to me..
“No problem Mom, how are you doing? How was your day like? Have you eaten?” I asked so many questions trying to be normal before I finally asked the real question I wanted.
“Tessy, is everything okay with you? Talk to me?” I have lived with my mom ever since I was born so she will know me so well.
“Nothing more.” I lied.
“You know you can confide in me right?” I took a deep breath and finally asked the question, “What’s the reason for Dad to have a tattoo on his body? Did you get any ideas? You were his lover so I thought you should know, I was shocked by it because I never knew he always had one.”
I noticed the sudden change in my mom’s tone, “Well he told me he had tattoos because of youthful exuberance, it doesn’t mean a thing.”
“Okay, mom.”
“Did something happen?”
“Not at all mom, I was just shocked by it because I had no idea, thanks for clearing the air for me,” I added and I suddenly brought up a topic that would make her feel better.
After my conversation with Mom, I realized they were both lying to me. Dad’s answer is so different from Mom’s answer as well. This is strange, what are they hiding from me? How I wish I could get access to Anthony, I know he would have told me the truth. Anthony, where are you? Please come back quickly, I miss you so much, I don’t want to believe you left me for good because you already gave me your words. I brought out my diary the second time and wrote out a few more things.
I thought about asking Sophia about the reason for her tattoo but something else told me it was none of my business, why should I poke my nose? I just need to remain calm.
I thought of making lunch for Eddy and seeing him at his company. I believe I could use that very method to get Anthony’s number from him, perfectly.
I was happy about my smart idea and finally, let go of everything as I continued with my book study.

I carefully packed the lunch I’d prepared – I just hope he likes chicken sandwiches and homemade fries.
Coming out of my apartment, I saw Sophia, I just hoped she wouldn’t keep me in her conversation.
“Hey Tessy!! I didn’t know you were home.” She rushed to me and I faked my smile, “Oh really.”
“Where are you off to?”
“On my way to see my fiance.” I replied hoping it would help me but instead, she said, “I was about to leave as well, let’s get the taxi together.”
“We are not heading in the same direction Sophia, I will see you when I return.” I was fast and I left her, she is so strange, I must confess.
I finally got a taxi and told the driver my destination.
I was already a few minutes close to his office, I kept telling myself I could do this, I just needed to act like his loving fiance, then just say what about your uncle, there is something I would love to ask him, I don’t think he will suspect like he did the last time if I approach him that way, I can’t let such secret get exposed now.
Immediately I arrived, I paid the taxi driver and headed towards his office, “Tessy! I didn’t know you were coming.” I knew he was surprised to see me.
I let out a smile saying, “I made lunch for you, I remembered how you complimented my meal the last time.”
“That’s so thoughtful of you my love.” He hugged me which was suffocating me already
I unlocked from the hug and set the food flask on the table for him,
Eddy’s eyes lit up. “Tessy, you’re an angel!” He took a bite, savoring the flavors.
“Thanks, babe. You’re the best,” he said, between bites.
Just as I was about to ask for Anthony’s number, Eddy glanced at his watch.
“Sorry, babe. I have an important meeting. Gotta run, I will give you a call and will make it up to you.” He hastily gathered his papers.
Disappointment got over me. I couldn’t bring myself to ask for Anthony’s number now.
“Okay, no problem. Have a great meeting,” I said, forcing a smile.
As I left Eddy’s office, frustration simmered within me. Why couldn’t I muster the courage to ask for Anthony’s number?
I missed him terribly. His laughter, his eyes, his gentle touch, how he spoils me and all, gosh, I miss how he f**k me too.
How could I get access to him? Was he even thinking of me?
My mind whirled with questions and longing.
Outside, the sun seemed dull, reflecting my mood.
I needed a plan to see Anthony but where will I start?
I didn’t know what else to do so I returned to my apartment only to meet an expensive car parked outside, I wondered who the person came to see them just like I saw my handsome lover, my sugar daddy that made my heart ache coming out from the car and had a beautiful sexy smile, his deep voice drove me crazy when he said to me, “Hey babydoll, come in let me take you across the universe.” This must be a dream, right? I was hallucinating, I closed my eyes and opened them, and he was still there, OMG!!!! IT’S HAPPENING!!!
