Tessy’s POV
I know ‘Viper’ is someone I don’t know but many have attacked me wrongly because they keep thinking I have something to do with him. Why will someone I don’t know about place me in danger this way? This isn’t fair at all…. But for the name ‘Dragon’ it doesn’t ring a bell at all, who is Dragon’s daughter? Is she connected with Viper’s lover too?
“I know none of you is going to speak out but don’t worry, we will fetch you out ourselves and when we do, you will regret never coming out yourself.” He finished and left us.
We were left alone again and the room was consumed with everyone’s tears.
“Tessy, does it hurt? I am sorry!!” Elizabeth felt guilty for what happened to me.
“Oh come on, you don’t have to feel guilty okay? I wanted to save you, how could they hit a woman that way!” I rolled my eyeballs.
“Stop acting so tough, you are weak yourself and you know the nightmares you have been having too, I am so sorry!” She hugged me again.
“Now this hurt, a lot!!” I said in a husky voice.
“Please let’s stay alive okay, let’s come out of here alive, let’s do that!!” She said to me and I agreed with her, this is my new hope even if it’s dim, at least it’s working.
“Come to think of it, who could be Dragon’s daughter among us?” Elizabeth inquired, I know she wanted us to keep talking because that’s the only thing we can do at this moment.
“I really don’t have a clue but once this is certain, they might be dangerous.” I placed my hands on my neck still remembering how I just escaped death again.
“But I am scared that I might lose you.” She added.
“What happened to what we just said a while ago? We will get out of here alive! Remember???”
“I know we said that just now but I thought of something and it’s scared the shit out of me, I’m not gonna lie to you, Tessy!” Her eyes tell me she might end up crying anytime soon.
“Okay tell me, what clouded your thoughts just now to give you fear again?”
“Remember the night I texted you to come see me saying it’s urgent? When you got kidnapped as well?”
“Yes I do, they used you to get me and it wasn’t your fault at all.”
“I overheard them telling someone that if they get the girl, it’s sixty percent possible they will get Viper, so in conclusion, I have a feeling you have encountered Viper before!!” immediately she said this I remained silent thinking about everything that just left her mouth.
Have I encountered Viper before? Viper could mean anything right? Dad saved Anthony’s number as Viper but what if because he is upset with him that’s why he changed his name to that? We, ladies, do that as well, when we are angry with someone we first change their name to something weird.
I cracked my brain so hard and in all, I don’t think I have ever come across a man called Viper.
I laughed and she looked at me weirdly, “Why are you laughing? Are you supposed to be laughing now?” She asked with a frown on her face and she started checking my body temperature which meant she wanted to know if I was alright or not.
“Oh stop making me feel like I am insane, like I said you are an overthinker, what will I be doing with someone dangerous? I have never met someone with that name okay.”
“Okay then, I agree with you if you say so, also you don’t keep many friends too.”
“Exactly my point.”
I suddenly remembered something weird, it was about the Mask Figure that keeps coming to haunt me every time I get into problems, and in my nightmares too, there is something really strange about the mask he has on.
That mask!!! I closed my eyes trying to remember everything about the mask and it suddenly clicked… The mask actually has the face of a Viper, oh no, I have encountered Viper does that mean I will die? But I never got the opportunity to see his face so why would he want to kill me? Why?
I rough-handled my hair, and bit my lips because it was driving me insane, how could a man be after my life when I haven’t seen the face behind the mask? And why will some gangs be after him too? What if they mistake me as his lover? Will I end up dead for no reason and never get the opportunity to live life? I need to stop.
My stomach interrupted me with the weird sounds it made, I was hungry but how on earth am I going to even get food here? It’s very impossible.
Oh gosh, if I dare ask for food what if they end up a bullet in my brain?
The people opened the door and started sharing snacks with bottled water, we rushed it like hungry slaves as we devoured it and I in particular grabbed every last drop of the water remaining in the bottle. All of a sudden I became very dizzy, what’s happening?
“Tessy, I feel so weak, I need to sleep!” Elizabeth said and I noticed everyone was yawning loudly as well.
Oh no, they drugged what they gave us to eat.. this is not good, they might rape us, sell us or even kill us and harvest our organs in the process…
No matter how hard I tried to fight off the sleep from my eyes, I obeyed it, fell flat on the floor, and darkness was already taking over my world when I heard them say, “I am certain Dragon’s daughter is among them and also Viper’s lover, they are both here.” I suddenly doze off completely.

“Please don’t kill her, I beg of you!” I was on my knees begging with so many dead bodies around me, what am I going to do now?
The Mask figure instructed his followers wearing his kind of mask as well but his own is quite different from theirs.
“Kill them all!” He said in his voice filled with rage.
Just like that, they killed everyone leaving just me, I knew I had to run away immediately. I kept running non-stop, even while I was out of breath I never stopped running for a moment.
I suddenly entered a dark place and I lost my sight, my entire body soaked with sweat and someone hit me, I woke up to see I was tied up with Elizabeth same with the other girls with me.
What’s happening? I notice a camera and light set facing us, what do they plan to do?
“Boss, are you ready?” One of them asked and he gave them the go-ahead.
They are recording a live stream!! Are they going to ask for ransom now?
“Hey everyone, I believe you all as parents are having a hard time right now but don’t you worry your kids are safe.” He laughed.
“Oh my bad, sorry for laughing, what we want is so simple, yes we do want money but that won’t cut it, somewhere you are hearing this Dragon!!!”He emphasizes more on the dragon leaving the Viper topic.
“Dragon I know you are watching this because your daughter is here but you just gave a smirk because you of all people know we don’t know her but it’s quite simple, you have 48 hours to reveal yourself to us, I will give the order to kill everyone here, we know you are alive, the mask might not be seen again but who wears it moves about so if you don’t want the innocent to die.” He pointed the gun at one of the ladies who was brought closer, he pulled the trigger and she fell with blood gushing out from her lap, she screamed in pain, “Ahhhh!!” I felt her pain, who the hell is Dragon’s daughter? Is he so ruthless that everyone is willing to go this length of harming others to bring him out?
“After the first 24 hours, a bullet will hit one of their heads, I will be waiting so if I were you, I wouldn’t wait for 48 hours.” He ended the live stream and they returned us with the girl bleeding.
The ropes used in tying us got loose, I rushed to the girl’s aid, just a few of us were also into surgery, we had to take out the bullet by all means and stop the bleeding immediately. I can’t lose anyone here, no no!! I don’t want anyone dead, this is not right at all.
A few moments later, we were able to take the bullet out because we were lucky to find a first aid box that was once used to treat a wound in here, I guess they might have forgotten it here already.
With a few minutes left to complete the 24 hours, they opened the door and were ready to keep their word by killing one of us when they noticed the treatment.
“Who treated her?” His voice made my heart start racing like I was about to have a panic attack.
“I am going to kill her if the person doesn’t step out right now, who treated her??”
Elizabeth looked at me nodding her head, “Please Don’t do it, they will kill you.”
“But they will kill her if I don’t, I treated her so I will accept my responsibility.” She begged me but I stood up, she tried to stop me but failed.
“I treated her!” I said the word out knowing fully well I would get killed.
“I think we found our sacrificial lamb already!” He used his gun to tease my body, I was running out of breath, and I closed my eyes expecting my fate which was death.
“Tick-tock tick-tock!!” He said and I noticed he stopped, I checked what he was doing, he was checking the time on his wristwatch.
“It’s time, Dragon thinks this is a game, when we kill you, we will stream your dead body, and your friend you are close to will be next to die, and the girl you treated, so your bravery was in vain.” He placed the gun to caress my boobs, my heart was pounding so fast, I closed my eyes immediately after the gun touched my head, it was time, I never got the chance to do a lot of things, maybe in my next life. Tears left my eyes.
