Chapter 6
Tessy’s POV
I need to go home, I don’t think I can remain here with my dad, I need my space and I will not get married to someone I don’t love.
I stepped out of the room to get some fresh air when Eddy approached me, “I was told you refuse to eat because of me, am I that horrible?”
I paused, I didn’t want him to think that way of me, “No, not because of you, I just don’t feel like eating.”
“You know you are not the only one in this mess right, why don’t we start from the beginning, my name is Eddy Wilson.”
“You know my name already and there is no need for us to have a conversation, just tell your mom you don’t want to marry me and that’s all.” I walked to the balcony but he tagged along.
“Can’t I have my peace even in my father’s house?” I said out loud.
“I am sorry but you barely know me and you hate me, I just asked for your name so we can be friends, just get to know me!!” I guess he is right, I barely know him and it’s not his fault I am in this mess, both our families are the cause so maybe if I become friends with him, I can use the advantage to make him hate me, he will have no other choice but to tell his mom he is no more interested then she will have to cancel the deal, I will be free.
“Fine, My name is Tessy Jones!!” I replied to him.
“See, it’s not that hard so if you don’t mind, let’s have lunch, my treat.”
“What if I say no?”
“Well, I won’t force you at all.” He replied with a smile then my stomach ruined the whole thing by making a weird sound.
I guess I need food, “The offer still stands!!” He said with a smile and I ended up laughing.
“Wow, she laughed, that’s great if you don’t mind, you look so pretty while laughing.”
“Thank you, so are we still getting the food?”
“After you Miss Tessy!!” He bowed his head using his hands to lead the way, why is he treating me as if I am the queen of this castle, anyway, I am only doing this because of what I am going to get in return.
We arrived at the restaurant immediately and had our seats, we ordered seafood then we started talking.
“So tell me about your uncle? Are you two close?” I wanted to use him to get a little things about the man I love so much.
“You mean Uncle Anthony?” He asked and I nodded.
“Yes, I believe you don’t share the same surname right?”
“Not at all, I bear my father’s name though he is dead now.”
“Oh I am so sorry about that, I didn’t mean, you know what, if you feel uncomfortable talking about it, you can change the topic,” I said in a calm tone.
“Not at all, I feel better talking about it with you because you are not just anyone, so back to my uncle, his full name is Anthony Alberto.”
Wow, his name is so sexy just like him.
“What does he do for a living?”
“I don’t think you need to know that, you might end up being scared of us.”
“I don’t get it, is he a hired killer?”
He laughed out loud, “No that’s not what I meant, let’s talk about us instead and leave our families and relatives aside.”
I needed to limit the way I talked and asked questions about Anthony so he wouldn’t end up suspecting a thing, so I continued our conversation.
He brought me home safe and sound later in the day, “I will call you when I get home!”
“Okay, bye now!! I waved at him and he took his leave.
Walking inside I saw my mom smiling like she saw Santa Claus, “I can see you two are bonding already, tell me everything!!”
“Really mom!! You know what I am going in and first thing tomorrow, I am returning to my place so I can face school, I am tired of your drama.”
“Tessy, please wait, I know you are still upset with me but just know this, we wanted you to live that’s why we ended up making such selfish decisions, understand us, understand the pain of a mother!!” I ignored her walking to my room, I didn’t have time for that.
She came to my room later on and sat on the bed with me, “I will return tomorrow, promise me you will listen to your father and call me as usual In case you need me.”
“Are you getting back with Dad?” I inquired.
“No, you know that can never happen.”
“You know what Mom, please leave, I want to sleep..” I covered myself with the blanket, I really hate giving my mother the attitude but right now they left me with no choice, I will never get married to another man, I want just Anthony alone.
I had another wet dream about him, it felt so real to the extent I wanted him right now with me but I ended up waking up to an empty bed. Gosh, this is so frustrating, I need to speak with him again, I don’t think I can keep the agreement we had, I want more of him.
I came up with an idea, I exited my room to look for Father, and I saw him drinking alone.
“Why are you drinking alone father?”
“Tessy, you are awake? You should be sleeping now!”
“Well, how do you expect me to sleep when you are selling me out in marriage!”
“I am sorry Tessy but believe me, we had no other choice.”
“You know what Dad, I don’t want to talk about it, I just want to know this truth, was I the reason you and mom divorced?”
He kept mute and took another glass of gin, I didn’t need him to give me a response anymore, I knew it would be related to it but why? I want them together, I want my family to be complete.
Realizing the reason I came here, I got a grip of myself and went straight to the point, “Dad, can I search for something online with your phone?”
“Oh, sure here you go, the password is your birth year.”
“Thank you, Daddy, though I am so angry at you and Mom but I love you both.” I kissed his cheek and walked away with his phone.
I opened it trying to search for Anthony’s number but I couldn’t see any name saved like that. I searched for best friend, buddy but nothing, don’t tell me dad doesn’t have his number on his phone.
Immediately a call came in and I mistakenly answered the phone, “Are you free, let’s meet up??” it was Anthony, why did he want to meet my dad and why was his name saved as ‘VIPER!!’ What does this mean?
