Chapter 57.
Nuella’s heart thrummed gently against her chest as she ascended the stairs leading to the entrance of Mira’s house. Not out of fear, but from the shy anticipation of what lay ahead.
Mira and Daisy were about to have her head. If not her entire body, just to get the gist out and she was only half prepared for them. If she was at all.
She cleared her throat gently, reaching for the automatic button on the door.
She pressed the button, and a loud noise filled the air, informing them that someone was outside.
Nuella clutched her phone, her cheeks stretching into a gentle smile at the recall of Devine’s words and the gentle nibble on her lips before he allowed her to leave.
God! That man was starting to cloud her entire senses. The soft pat against her head, telling her to be a good girl. The goodbye kiss! Oh, heaven! His lips tasted like pure sin-one she never wanted to stop committing.
The door opened, revealing the person behind it.
Nuella blinked, her gaze meeting Mira, who was now leaning against the door, glaring at her with amused mischievous eyes.
Nuella scrunched her nose. Oh, not this one! Who the hell placed the white witch on the door? She had expected Daisy! At least the air wouldn’t be so thick with awkwardness.
“You reek of….” Mira’s words hung in the air as her eyes roamed over Nuella’s body.
“You reek of cum. Your father’s friend’s cum.”
Nuella’s breath hitched, eyes widened.
She glared at Mira, who wore a very casual look. This was not the perfect expression for something so blunt, but how could Mira be so… well, blunt?
“You might have to close your mouth, princess. I don’t have a cock to fit into it.”
Nuella’s jaw dropped at that statement. Her eyes widened further, and in seconds, they both burst into laughter.
Mira placed her palm against her mouth, laughing into it.
Their laughter soon subsided, and they were back to staring at each other. Mira, with a teasing, stern look, and Nuella, with a puppy-dog expression.
“Are you going to leave me standing here forever?”
Mira moved a finger to her lips, feigning deep calculation.
“Your beast of a man might need to come to move me away before you get past this door.”
Nuella chuckled softly, covering her mouth with her palm.
Before she could say another word, Mira grabbed her wrist, pulled her inside, and slammed the door shut behind her.
“I want to hear the gist! Every freaking thing…”
A tiny voice slipped through the air, interrupting Mira’s giddy conversation.
“We…” Daisy corrected, descending the stairs.
Nuella’s cheeks burned with embarrassment.
For a few seconds, she had thought she was prepared for this, but now, she knew she was not even close to being ready for this moment.
Mira rolled her eyes playfully at Daisy.
She dragged Nuella inside, and in no time, they had slumped onto the couch.
While Daisy dished out some popcorn to munch on, Mira dragged a table closer, positioning herself directly opposite Nuella. The closer the person, the sweeter the gossip.
Nuella sat on the cream leather couch, her eyes following her hilarious friend.
Mira dragged the table forward, and Daisy dropped the bowl of popcorn onto it. Both of them lowered themselves to the ground, elbows propped on the table, eyes fixed on Nuella.
She let out a chuckle, glaring at them.
“What is this?” Amusement danced in her voice as she laughed off their antics.
“A preparation for the hot gist you have for us,” Mira said, throwing a popcorn into her mouth.
“Yes!” Daisy consented. “And you better start talking because we have all the time in the world to listen to you. Right, Mira?”
“Absolutely!” Mira replied energetically, sparing Daisy a wink.
Silence settled into the room, heavy and expectant. Their eyes never left Nuella, silently urging her to speak. Even without words, they haunted her to open up.
A low heat crept across Nuella’s cheeks as the images of her heated moments with Devine flashed across her mind.
Her cheeks deepened into a smile, turning crimson red.
Mira’s eyes widened in amusement as she threw another popcorn into her mouth. “Wow… is that how hard he fucks you? Girl, you are yet to say a word, and your cheeks are already red!”
Nuella lifted her gaze, eyes glistening with something sensual.
“Can you girls have mercy?”
Daisy scrunched her nose, her eyes darting to Mira, and she asked, “Mercy?” Her eyes remained on Mira, her expression mere seconds away from sarcasm.
“What’s that, Mira? Is mercy a name? Or a word?”
Mira blinked back, brows knitted in confusion. “Perhaps mercy could be the name of an action. Like the one she did to us when she was taking Leandro’s tongue!”
The air hung still for a second as Daisy processed the statement. Then, her face lit up in realization. “Perfect!” she exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air.
“You were neither merciful to us when you grazed our ears with hot moans while taking the tongue of your daddy, forgotten?”
Nuella’s eyes widened, and a chuckle slipped past her lips. She glared at Daisy, a little too stunned. For as long as she had known her friend, Nuella had been certain that Mira was the promiscuous one. But now, the writing on the wall seemed different.
“It’s been an hour, Ella…” Daisy’s voice rose above her thoughts.
“An hour of what?” Nuella blinked.
“An hour since you arrived here, yet you haven’t said a word to us. Do we have to force the words out of your mouth?”
A huge exhale slipped past Nuella’s lips, and her eyes rolled backward. They could sell for gist. If not kill. She was here 15 minutes ago and Daisy had already exaggerated it to an hour.
whoops.
She stretched a handout and grabbed a handful of popcorn, slumping back into the chair.
She shot them one last glare before beginning.
