Alex’s P. O. V.
I return to the party, my eyes searching for my girl. I find her talking to her mother. Her cheeks are red. She looks more beautiful now.
So damn Mine!
She has awakened a love within me I never knew existed, a love so profound, so all-consuming, that it has forever changed me.
“Alex…” Sky calls me out from behind, and as I turn around, he adds, his expression solemn. “We need to talk.”
He walks out of the house, and I follow him, wondering what he wants to talk about.
As we reach the garden, he asks, “Is it Stella?”
“What…” I’m taken aback by his direct question.
“Don’t act innocent. You know what I mean.”
I know now it’s useless to lie to him. He already knows.
“Yeah! It’s Stella.” I nod at him.
“You hated her.” He stares at me in disbelief.
Hated her? Never. I just pretended to, because from the beginning, deep inside, I knew she had the power to break down the walls I’d built around my heart.
“It’s true that I was annoyed by her in the beginning, but never hated. From the very first day my eye landed on her, I felt an extremely strong pull towards her.”
“But she is your-”
I know what is he going to say, so I stop him, showing my hand. “I know she is my stepsister. That’s why I tried to keep myself away from her, but couldn’t. When I saw her shattered, I broke all the boundaries because I just wanted to keep her happy and safe with me. I love her so much now that it doesn’t matter to me what anyone else thinks. She’s not just my stepsister-she’s my everything now.”
Sky just stares at me, his brow furrowed. “Alex… do you realise how complicated this is?”
I nod, my jaw tightening. “I know it’s not simple. But I can’t help how I feel about her, and I’ve tried to fight it. I really did. But she’s the one who makes me feel all the emotions which I thought I would never feel. She makes me feel alive, Sky.”
He sighs, running a hand through his hair. “So, what’s your plan? Just keep it a secret forever?”
I shake my head. “I don’t know yet. All I know is that I can’t lose her. She’s worth every risk.”
Sky’s eyes soften, and he places a hand on my shoulder. “Look, Alex, I’ve never seen you like this before. If she means that much to you, I won’t stand in your way. Just… be careful. Not everyone will understand.”
Now I stare at him in disbelief. He’s supporting me. I thought he would judge me and advise me to stay away from Stella.
Fuck! I was so wrong.
“You thought I wouldn’t support you, right?” he asks, a small smile spreading across his face. I nod, feeling a bit embarrassed at assuming the worst.
“Alex, how could I go against love when I see it’s real?” He continues. “In fact, I’m happy for you and her. Stella has gone through a lot. I’m glad now she has you.”
I feel so relieved. Sky’s approval means more than I can put into words.
“Your support means a lot to me. Thanks, man.” I give him a quick hug, grinning.
He pulls back with a serious look in his eyes. “Just remember, it’s not going to be easy in the future. People are going to have their opinions, and not everyone will see it like I do. But I’ll always have your back.”
I nod, feeling grateful for his support. “It doesn’t matter what people say. You understand is enough for me.”
As we start heading back toward the house, I hesitate for a moment before speaking. “Sky, can I ask you one more thing?”
He looks at me, raising an eyebrow. “Go on.”
“Could you… not mention any of this to Zoe?” I ask. “I want Stella to tell her in her own time. She needs to handle it her way.”
Sky sighs, nodding slowly. “I get it. I’ll do my best to keep things under wraps until Stella’s ready, but I won’t lie to Zoe if she asks. Just make sure she tells her soon.”
“Thank you. That’s all I can ask.” I give him a grateful smile, knowing how difficult this is for him.
Sky claps me on the shoulder again. “No problem. Let’s get back. Our girls will be finding us.”
I laugh at his words.

After the party, Stella and I go to our separate rooms because her mom was with her. I wish I could tell the entire world how much I love her and keep her always with me.
But I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders because my best friend knows about Stella. Now I don’t have to lie to him anymore. It’s such a great relief, knowing how much he understands me and supporting our relationship.
As I change my clothes, I receive a text from Stella.
Stella: Mom has just left. You can come.
Me: I’ll be there in a minute.
Stella: Can I clean myself now?
Reading her text, I realised I was so hard on her today. Because of my possessiveness, I lost my senses completely and didn’t think about her comfort. She has gone through a lot and I don’t want to hurt her more.
Me: No. I’ll come and take care of it myself.
I toss my phone onto the bed, slip on a T-shirt, and head to her room through the balcony, as I always do, to avoid being seen sneaking in every night.
Through the glass door, I catch sight of her. She’s standing in front of the mirror, only in her panties, her fingers tracing over the dried evidence of our earlier encounter on her thighs. Her expression is somewhere between mesmerized and aroused, but it does nothing to make me feel better about the way I lost control over myself and didn’t think about her.
I open the door as quietly as possible and slip inside. She senses my presence before I even touch her and turns her head to meet my gaze with a warm smile.
“Hey, Flower,” I say, sliding my arms around her waist from behind, pulling her against me. “I’m sorry.” I rest my chin on her shoulder as I meet her gaze in the mirror. “That I lost control earlier. I didn’t think about how you’d feel having to walk around like that…”
She turns in my arms, her hands coming up to my face as she fixes her eyes on me. “Alex, I loved it. You didn’t hurt me, not even a little. In fact…” she pauses, her cheeks flushing. “Seeing that possessive side of you… it drove me wild. It made me feel more yours than I ever thought possible.”
“But still.” My eyes filled with guilt bore into hers as I brush a strand of hair behind her ear. “I should’ve thought about you. I treated you so harshly and asked you to walk through the party with my come. You don’t deserve it.”
She shakes her head. “Alex, if I had wanted you to stop, I would have. I know you’d never push me past my limits.” Her hands trail down my chest with a mischievous glint in her eyes. “I liked the way you marked me yours today. You were so rough and wild. God, Alex, I can’t even describe how much I loved it. And I’ll do anything to bring that side of yours again.”
I grab her jaw, my eyes darkening. Don’t dare you trigger my possessiveness with any of your antics. Understand?”
“What if I do?” Her naughty grin widens.
“I’m serious, Stella. The rage I felt today was something which I never felt before. I felt like killing my teammate for even thinking about you. So just don’t,” I warn her.
She nods, her expression serious now. “Okay, I understand. But Alex, really, you didn’t hurt me today. So don’t feel guilty.”
“But, Stella, promise me. You’ll stop me if I ever hurt you.”
“You can never hurt me, Alex. I know.” She stands on her toes, takes my face in her hand, and after tilting it down, she presses her lips on mine for a soft kiss.
“Now let’s just clean you.” I rush to the bathroom and return with a wet towel.
As I kneel in front of her and clean her thighs, she caresses my hair. “You know, I felt connected to you like I was carrying a piece of you with me. During the party, even though no one knew, I knew.” She looks down, a shy smile playing on her lips. “I felt like I was yours. Completely.”
Smiling, I stand up and yank her closer to me by grabbing her buttocks, pressing her bare tits against me. “You are mine, Stella,” I whisper, brushing my lips softly against hers. “And I’m yours. Every piece of me.”
