He called her over and introduced, “This is Mr. Patel, the investor of ST. If you join ST, you will inevitably have to interact with him often. Greet him.”
Aliyah nodded to Anthony, “Hello, Mr. Patel.”
Anthony nodded, “Very beautiful. Once the news spreads, it will definitely generate a lot of buzz.”
Aliyah recalled the earlier argument among the young men and said with a bitter smile, “Probably the buzz of people criticizing me.”
Mollie sneered, “If you want to step into the spotlight, there will inevitably be malice. Just endure it.”
Anthony took out an invitation, “This is from the owner of ST. On the day you perform, I will be there to watch your competition.”
It was quite an honor. Aliyah was grateful, “Thank you, Mr. Patel. I’ve heard that the patron of ST is very mysterious, but it turns out he’s quite approachable.”
Although it was because of Mollie’s influence.
Anthony clasped his hands behind his back, “I wasn’t the one who initially invested in this project…”
Halfway through his sentence, he glanced in the direction Mollie had been looking earlier. The figure by the window was gone. He sighed almost inaudibly, “Never mind, it’s nothing.”
As Mollie listened to their conversation, a small figure appeared in her peripheral vision. She looked closely and saw Grape sitting on the doorstep, her chubby face filled with fear and nervousness as she looked at them, unsure whether to enter.
“Where did this child come from?” Mollie stood up.
Aliyah was shocked and startled, “Grape! How did you get here?”
She walked over and saw no one following Grape, meaning she had come by herself.
Because she saw strangers, Grape’s voice was very small, “I want to play with sister; I don’t want to follow brother…”
Aliyah didn’t know what to say for a moment and was at a loss for how to respond to Mollie’s questioning.
“Well… actually, I don’t know whose child this is either…”
She had only met Grape once and didn’t even know her name.
Mollie impatiently slapped her forehead, “Tell the hotel to help find the child’s parents.”
However, as she looked away, she felt the child seemed familiar. Those big eyes were so bright and clear…
Anthony seemed to think so too. He exchanged a glance with her and then shook his head, indicating it was impossible.
“Anthony.”
A deep male voice sounded at this moment. Grape followed the source of the voice and saw a tall, aloof man standing at the door. His gaze was heavy and dangerous as it fell on her.
Yet there was an inexplicable attraction.
Grape couldn’t look away. He was so handsome; she had never seen such a good-looking man.
Aliyah was also stunned; she hadn’t expected such a figure to be here.
Anthony quickly turned around, “Mr. Oconnor, this is a lost child. I will handle it immediately.”
Nelson.
He stood in the slanting sunlight of spring, staring at the child for a long time. The child wasn’t afraid of him and met his gaze.
He frowned slightly, a sign of displeasure.
Mollie didn’t dare stay a second longer and pushed Aliyah, “Quickly leave, take her away.”
Aliyah was about to step forward when that dangerous voice said, “Since she’s lost, keep her here for now.”
Aliyah was instantly caught in a dilemma.
Five minutes later, she found Malakai’s contact information and sent him many messages asking him to come and take Grape away.
Unfortunately, he seemed not to be checking his phone and didn’t reply at all.
Little did she know that on the other side, the young men had already gone nearly crazy searching for the missing child!
