Recently, Isabella had a scene where she danced a classic segment from Swan Lake on a stage in the rain.
On the third day of shooting, they happened to encounter heavy rain. Realistic filming naturally produces better effects than artificial rain, so Director Davis organized the props team to quickly set up the stage.
Because the stage was set up in a hurry, the props team didn’t have time for a second inspection and started filming.
Due to Isabella’s inadequate dance skills, the scene was shot more than a dozen times. She danced in the pouring rain for over an hour, nearly exhausted. As a result, she ignored the creaking sound of the stage beneath her feet.
Then, during the final spinning jump, the stage suddenly collapsed. She fell directly from a several-meter-high stage, buried entirely by the collapsing stage.
The accident happened so suddenly that chaos ensued among the entire crew.
As the rain grew heavier, blood flowed from beneath the stage along with the rainwater. The bright red color was shocking to the eye.
Davis organized all the cast and crew on set to clean up the scene. Eventually, they found Isabella trapped under the collapsed stage. She lay in a pool of blood, her face pale and cold, appearing lifeless.
One of her legs was cut open by a broken stage pillar, and blood was gushing out from her thigh.
Doctors arrived shortly after and urgently took Isabella to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Due to excessive blood loss, she needed 1000cc of blood to stabilize her condition. Her leg wound required more than ten stitches.
When she was hospitalized, Andrew was in Germany for an inspection. He only received the news the next day and immediately flew back. By the time he arrived in Ithaca town, Isabella had already been discharged.
Despite losing a significant amount of blood and needing over ten stitches, she was discharged after only three days of observation!
Andrew suppressed his anger and called her. However, it wasn’t Isabella who answered the phone; Olivia did, as Isabella was still filming.
Olivia knew Andrew had come specifically to visit Isabella, so she led him onto the set.
However, Isabella was still filming, so Andrew could only watch from the sidelines.
Inside the filming area, Isabella and the actor playing the male lead were holding hands, walking and laughing by the dusk playground.
Her smile was brighter than the sun, her voice sweet and clear. However, all Andrew could see was her pale face and sweat on her forehead.
His hand by his side gradually clenched into a fist.
After the scene ended, Davis shouted, “Okay, that’s a wrap.”
Then, Isabella collapsed onto the playground, her face pale from pain, sweating profusely.
The crew surrounded her, even Davis expressed concern about her condition. She smiled and gestured with an “OK” sign to reassure everyone. Olivia then helped her back to the hotel.
Isabella limped towards the hotel, complaining as she walked.
“Come on, save some strength and act weak in front of Andrew later. He’ll definitely take good care of you,” Olivia said.
“Andrew is here?” Isabella looked surprised. They had just talked on the phone two days ago, and he was still in Germany, expected to return in at least a week.
“He’s waiting for you in your room,” Olivia replied.
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” Isabella let go of Olivia’s hand and hopped quickly into the elevator.
Olivia, left outside the elevator, looked puzzled. Just moments ago, Isabella seemed half-dead, but upon hearing Andrew had arrived, she was suddenly full of energy.
Is this the legendary power of love?
Isabella entered the room with her room key and saw Andrew sitting on the sofa in the living room. She immediately rushed over to him.
Since she joined the cast, they hadn’t seen each other for over two months, which made her miss him a lot.
“Andrew, I’ve missed you,” Isabella wrapped her soft arms around his neck, and her rose-colored soft lips brushed against his cheek, acting like a spoiled child.
Andrew’s suppressed anger diminished significantly after hearing her soft “I’ve missed you,” but his expression was still not very pleasant.
He had seen news of her injury and immediately left his work in Germany to return home. His heart had been in suspense since he landed.
He arrived at the set to find her working despite her injuries, not taking care of herself at all.
His warm palm gently stroked her pale face, looking into her eyes filled with helplessness and affection.
Although Andrew didn’t approve of Isabella’s reckless behavior, this was her chosen and persistent career. As her mate, he needed to understand and respect her choices.
“If something like this happens again, come home with me,” he said after a brief silence, his voice cold with deep helplessness.
She giggled softly and nodded.
He lifted her onto the sofa, then crouched down carefully to roll up her pant leg. Her left leg was wrapped in a white bandage, and the wound looked to be at least three inches long.
“It’s just a minor injury, nothing serious. The media always exaggerates things, making it seem like I was at death’s door,” she said dismissively.
His attractive eyebrows furrowed deeply, his voice turning cold. “You were lucky this time. If the broken wood had severed an artery instead of just cutting skin, you would have bled out within minutes. If we hadn’t gotten you to the hospital in time, you could have lost your life.”
“Andrew, don’t scare me like that!” Isabella pouted and pulled her leg back.
“You think I’m trying to scare you?” Andrew’s eyes were deep and cold, “One of my comrades bled out from a cut artery caused by a sharp branch during a mission. Blood sprayed out like a fountain; we couldn’t stop it even with our hands. Even after applying several tourniquets, the bleeding wouldn’t stop. By the time we left the forest, he had stopped breathing…”
“Andrew, stop,” Isabella said, covering his mouth with her hand, her face turning pale from fear.
“Take care of yourself. If something happens to you, I don’t know what I’d do,” Andrew’s eyes became colder. He grasped her hand covering his mouth tightly, as if he feared she would vanish if he let go.
She nestled into his embrace, her cheek pressed against his chest, listening to the strong, steady heartbeat. She suddenly felt reassured.
“Andrew,” she whispered his name.
“Yes,” Andrew responded softly, his voice gentle despite its faintness.
She tilted her face up, her view capturing his firm chin with a hint of stubble.
Her fingertips lightly brushed against his chin, a touch of childishness in her actions.
“Andrew, when I fell from the high platform, I thought, how unfair it would be if I died from such a fall. I haven’t married you yet.”
Her beautiful face crumpled slightly, showing a hint of grievance.
He smiled slightly, lowering his head to kiss her forehead. With a light chuckle, he asked, “Are you thinking of getting married?”
She shifted her body, wrapping her arms around his neck, pressing her forehead close to his, and said seriously, “Hmm, I’ll consider it.”
