He had Ryan find that girl he spent the night with, initially intending to get rid of the child she shouldn’t have had.
However, when he saw Isabella with a six-month-old belly passing by him, he suddenly changed his mind.
Since he saved her initially, now, there was no reason to harm her.
The relationship between him and Isabella was just like the song sings: parted people will meet again.
“Can you sing it again?” Andrew’s tone was very light, rare not in command but with a hint of earnest request.
Isabella nodded and played and sang it again.
At the end of the song, the two of them quietly leaned on each other, silence flowing between them.
“Andrew, do you think this song will be a hit?” Finally, Isabella broke the silence.
“Do you hope so?” Andrew asked.
“Of course, why ask.” Isabella had sung many TV and movie songs; Olivia had been preparing an album for her. If this theme song had a good response, it would open doors for her in the music industry.
Andrew finished listening, smiled lightly, gazed into her eyes, and said softly, “As you wish.”
“Thank you for your encouragement. I have confidence in myself.” Isabella smiled, closing the piano lid.
She stood up from the piano bench, stretched in a big yawn.
“Tired, I’m going to take a bath and sleep.”
“How are we sleeping tonight?” Andrew’s lips carried a smile as he gazed at her intently.
“Of course, you sleep in yours, I sleep in mine,” Isabella said.
He wasn’t on medication now, did he still want to force her!
She removed the sheet music from the stand, turned to leave, but he suddenly grabbed her wrist.
“Starting tonight, you’re sleeping in the master bedroom.” Andrew’s tone was flat, without any room for negotiation.
“Think again.” Isabella outright refused.
But Andrew seemed to disregard her refusal completely, smiling faintly. “Nervous? I won’t force you if you don’t agree.”
Isabella looked at him, her rosy lips tightly pursed, silently resisting. She wouldn’t trust him.
However, the standoff only lasted a few seconds before Andrew scooped her up horizontally and threw her onto the soft bed in the bedroom.
Before she could resist, he covered her with the blanket. “I advise you to behave, Isabella. If I want you, where you sleep doesn’t make a difference.”
“… ” Isabella had nothing to say. If he really wanted to force her, sleeping in the master bedroom or the guest room didn’t actually make a difference.
So, she slept peacefully in the master bedroom’s big bed.
Andrew also slept on the bed, both under the same blanket. He hugged her to sleep, without any excessive actions.
Actually, Andrew didn’t want to, but he was afraid of hurting her. Their relationship had already crossed boundaries, whether on or off the bed, it was a steady flow.
However, he didn’t expect her sleeping posture to be so poor. When he woke up in the morning, a two-meter-long quilt was almost wrapped around her, leaving him entirely outside.
She sat up from the bed, rubbing her sleepy eyes, sounding nonchalant, “I didn’t force you to share the bed with me. I’m used to sleeping wrapped in a blanket alone.”
“… ” Andrew had nothing to say, well, he brought it upon himself.
After having breakfast together, Andrew went to the company, and Isabella went to the recording studio.
Unexpectedly, the recording process went smoothly. Because of Charles’s instructions, everyone in the recording studio, from the responsible to the cameraman, served Isabella cautiously.
By late morning, the demo song was recorded. Isabella walked out of the studio, sat in the car, suddenly realizing she didn’t have anything to do in the afternoon.
She took out her phone and dialed Olivia’s number.
When the call connected, the noise on the other side was very loud. “What’s up? If it’s nothing, hang up quickly; I’m busy.”
“Olivia, that…”
“It’s nothing, I’m hanging up.” Without waiting for Isabella to finish her sentence, Olivia directly hung up. To Olivia, hesitance meant it wasn’t anything important.
Isabella held her phone for a while and then decided that she must replace this unreliable agent.
She called Olivia again, but Olivia’s side was even louder than before.
“Princess, I’m in the middle of a blind date; can this wait?” After Olivia finished speaking, without waiting for Isabella’s response, she hung up the phone.
Isabella was so infuriated by Olivia’s prioritizing romance over friendship that she nearly spat blood.
She just wanted someone to go shopping with. Was it so difficult!
Isabella sat in the car, continuously scrolling through her phone contacts. Finally, her eyes landed on Andrew’s number. After hesitating for a moment, she dialed it.
After a few rings, the call was answered, and it was unusually quiet on the other end, even allowing the sound of steady breathing to be heard.
“Andrew, I want to go shopping,” Isabella said directly.
“What do you want to buy? Make a list, and I’ll have someone purchase and deliver it to the apartment,” Andrew said.
“Shopping and buying things are not the same concept,” Isabella replied helplessly.
After she spoke, there was a brief silence on the other end. Andrew seemed to realize something, then lightly chuckled and said, “I’m at the spa resort in the northern suburbs. You can come and find me.”
The spa resort in the northern suburbs was the largest private club in Ithaca town. Built a few years ago with funding from the Turner family, the resort had a golf course, tennis courts, a racecourse, indoor and outdoor hot springs; it was considered a sanctuary for leisure and holidays.
However, this private club was almost never open to the public. Everyone in Ithaca town knew that the spa resort in the northern suburbs was Andrew’s backyard, and he occasionally entertained guests there.
Only members of the Turner family and a select few from financial circles qualified to enter the resort.
Isabella didn’t ask Andrew how he ended up at the Turner family’s club. Given Andrew’s seemingly good relationship with Ryan, Andrew must have borrowed his influence.
She was indeed curious about the legendary spa resort and agreed without a second thought.
