Sally
“I can’t believe this isn’t a dream,” Colby whispered, crouching down to wipe my wet hair as I sat on the bed.
I gave him a small smile, nodding my head. The truth was, I had run away because I couldn’t face my family or Colby anymore. Would my biological mom eventually uncover my secret? What questions would she ask now? What would she think? Ever since I was born, she believed that I was incapable of speech.
The reason I came back was that Yvonne had texted me, saying, “It’s partly your fault that my brother is acting crazy. Come back and fix it! I don’t care if you’re snubbing everyone else’s messages, but you had better not ignore mine. You’ll regret making my brother feel this way. I will make your life a living hell.”
I sent a message back: “What’s the problem? You’re Colby’s sister, aren’t you? Why not talk to him yourself?”
“Fuck you! Guess what? We found out that our mother, whom we had always hated for leaving us, never meant it that way. She had actually left us because she was dying from a terminal illness. She didn’t want her children to see her weakened state. She preferred to show us her villainous side. Now, Colby isn’t himself, and the fact that you aren’t here makes it all worse for him.”
“Oh my goodness,” I texted, biting my bottom lip as I stared out the window of the small motel where I was hiding, trying to escape from reality and life.
Suddenly, rain began to pour, and Yvonne sent another message: “Fuck! And it’s raining. Colby might still be outside, and I’m more than certain he won’t care about it. With the way he’s feeling right now, he’ll probably just stand there, getting soaked in the rain. You know how easily he gets cold.”
“Where do you think he might be?” I asked urgently.
Her reply came instantly. “I think he’s on the road, probably not too far from home.”
“I’ll be right there. I’ll go search for him now.” I left the room immediately.
Outside, I hailed a taxi. As we drove, I spotted him through the window-Colby, standing in the rain, completely drenched and seemingly not caring about anything. His gaze was downcast, his expression lost.
“Please! Stop the car!” I screamed, and the taxi driver complied. I jumped out and ran toward Colby. As I approached him from behind, the cold rain drenched my body. Gently, I wrapped my arms around his middle.
Back in my dark, empty dorm, Colby helped me dry my body and hair, despite being drenched himself. He tried to force a smile onto his handsome, wet face, his hair sticking to his forehead in a way that made him look even more attractive.
“Your roommate isn’t home?” he asked, breaking me from my thoughts.
My eyes blinked twice, and I shook my head before answering softly, “She said she wants to stay home until the wedding next week.”
“Ohhh,” he nodded.
“Colby?” I called.
“Hmm?” he replied, his gaze fixed on my chin, avoiding eye contact.
“Please look at me.”
He refused, instead letting out a deep sigh.
I held the sides of his face, turning it towards mine. His eyes were red and filled with sadness.
“I’m sorry, Colby,” I whispered.
“For what?” he asked. “For leaving me? For making me worry?”
I bit my bottom lip so hard it hurt.
“I heard from Yvonne about… your mom,” I said.
He sighed deeply, looking away briefly before facing me again. “Yeah, and I’m the son who hated her for no reason.”
Letting out a deep sigh, I hugged him, knowing I had nothing to say that could make it better. Instead, I hoped my embrace could comfort him.
I broke the hug, feeling the coolness of his body. “You’re getting cold,” I whispered.
Colby only nodded.
“How about I warm you up?” I said softly, wrapping my arms around his neck, resting my elbows on his broad shoulders, and interlocking my fingers behind him.
I leaned forward, watching as he tilted his head before capturing my lips in a kiss.
He wrapped his strong arms around my waist, pulling me even closer. The kiss deepened, his hands slowly sliding down to my thighs, lifting them to wrap around his waist. He broke the kiss to rest his forehead against mine, his breath warm against my face and that was when I realized that I was off the bed and around his body.
“Warmer?”
Colby nodded, smiling softly as he ran my fingers through his hair.
“Much warmer,” he murmured, nuzzling into me.
Still wrapped around him like a koala, he carried me effortlessly and then gently lay me down on the bed before crawling in beside me.
I snuggled up against him, resting my head on his chest. His arms enveloped me, holding me tightly. The room was dark, lit only by the soft glow of the city lights outside.
I could hear his heartbeat, slow and steady.
“Sally?” he whispered.
“Hmm?” I responded softly, his fingers gently tracing patterns on my back.
“Thank you,” he whispered, his voice barely audible. “For tonight. For making me feel… alive.”
I pressed a gentle kiss to his chest, my eyes fluttering closed as I listened to his heartbeat. He hugged me closer, his lips pressing against the top of my head.
“Can you stand up?” I suddenly asked.
“What?” he asked, confused.
I sat upright, sitting by the edge of the bed. “Come on. What are you waiting for? Come!”
Colby stood up and then came in front of me. standing before me, his towering height never ceasing to amaze me. Then, I went on my knees earning a surprise look on his face.
“What are you-”
“Sshh…”
Just then, I placed my hands on the sides of his pants, then slide it down. Thank goodness he wore no belt. So swift. So easy.
He froze as my fingers hooked into his boxers.
“Sally?” His voice was lower, hoarser.
I looked up at him from my kneeling position on the bed, licking my lips slowly.
“Mhmm?” I hummed, pushing his boxers down. “Can I?”
Colby swallowed hard, his eyes darkening with desire.
“Fuck, yes,” he growled, stepping out of his underwear.
I smiled, leaning forward and wrapping my lips around his hardening length. He gasped, his hands fisting in my hair as I started to suck him off.
“Sally, baby, wait,” he panted, trying to pull me off. “I don’t want to finish like this. I want to be inside you.”
I popped off of him with a wet sound, looking up at him with heavy-lidded eyes.
“Then take me,” I whispered.
In one swift motion, he pushed me back onto the bed, settling between my thighs.
“Are you sure?” he asked, his voice thick with desire, one hand already unbuttoning my shirt.
I nodded eagerly, my legs wrapping around his waist. “I need you inside me, Colby.”
He groaned deeply, his hands quickly pushing my jeans aside to expose my bare skin.
“Fuck, Sally,” he muttered, positioning himself at my entrance. With one powerful thrust, he entered me, filling me completely. I gasped, my nails digging into his back as he began to move.
“Damn, you’re so wet,” he groaned, his hips snapping against mine. “So tight.”
He grabbed my legs, throwing them over his shoulders to deepen his thrusts. I moaned loudly, his new angle hitting spots inside me that made my eyes roll back.
“You like that?” he asked.
“Yes,” I moaned, my voice breathless. “Don’t stop.”
Colby grinned, his hips moving faster, his body slapping against mine in a rhythmic dance. The room was filled with the sounds of our lovemaking-moans, heavy breaths, and the wet sounds of our bodies joining together.
“Colby,” I whimpered, feeling myself getting closer to the edge.
He leaned down, his lips finding mine in a sloppy, passionate kiss. “Come for me, Sally,” he panted against my mouth, his fingers finding my clit and rubbing it in tight circles. That was all it took.
I cried out, my body convulsing beneath him as an intense orgasm crashed through me. Colby swallowed my cries with another desperate kiss, his own release following moments later. He buried his face in my neck, biting down gently as he filled me with his warmth.
As Colby lay beside me, his arms wrapped tightly around me in a warm cuddle, I gazed up at him, my eyes fixed on his chest. I whispered his name, my voice barely audible.
Colby looked down at me, his eyes searching mine, and asked, “What is it?”
My voice trembled as I confessed, “I love you so much, Colby.”
He stared at me, his expression unreadable. I repeated my declaration, “I said, I love you, Colby.”
Colby shifted uncomfortably, his eyes avoiding mine. “I… I don’t know what to say, Sally. I’ll just pretend I didn’t hear that, okay?” The room fell silent, the tension between us palpable.
