Sally
I stood in Coach’s office, my eyes fixed on the floor. Coach didn’t look happy-not one bit.
“Oh, look who it is-the prodigal daughter has returned,” she remarked.
I looked up and quickly typed on my phone, “I’m really sorry,” before showing it to her.
“And what am I supposed to do with that?” she snapped. “It’s over. Go home, Sally. I’m not accepting you back.”
Without thinking, I fell to my knees, catching Coach off guard.
Coach stared at me, wide-eyed, as I knelt before her. “What are you doing, Sally? Don’t think I’ll accept you back after what you did-going AWOL? Are you crazy? What if we had a big match?”
Tears welled up in my eyes, but Coach didn’t look away, her anger unwavering. “Stand up now and leave,” she commanded.
I shook my head, refusing to move.
“Fine!” Coach yelled, slamming her hands on the desk between us. “I’ll drag you out myself.”
Just as she was about to make good on her threat, the door swung open. I turned, my heart skipping a beat, to see Colby standing there. I quickly averted my gaze, staring at my kneeling thighs as I bit my bottom lip.
How would I face him now that he knew my deepest secret?
In that moment, I wished the floor would open up and swallow me whole. But instead, Coach’s voice snapped me back to reality.
“What are you doing here, Colby? Came to beg on behalf of your stepsister? Sorry, it’s not happening. And trust me, I’m strong enough to drag both of you away.”
Colby laughed deeply, his voice still sending shivers down my spine despite the situation. Was I missing him? Was I missing everything about him, even now?
I swallowed hard nervously, my thoughts racing.
Colby finally spoke, his voice serious. “I knew Sally wouldn’t tell you.”
“What?” Coach asked, her confusion evident. “What happened?”
Colby sighed deeply. “She’s been going through a lot.”
“And what’s that?” Coach asked, turning to me, worry in her eyes. “What didn’t you tell me? What didn’t I know?”
I turned to Colby, who gave me a quick wink.
Biting my bottom lip, I typed on my phone, explaining that I had been really sick and didn’t want to worry anyone. That’s why I didn’t tell her. I hadn’t expected the illness to last so long.
“What!” Coach exclaimed, then pulled me up, her voice filled with worry and regret. “Why didn’t you tell me? You didn’t want me to worry? Come on, I’m your coach. Always let me know when something’s wrong.”
I nodded, unsure of what else to do.
Coach apologized for being too hard on me and instructed me to join the rest of the team on the field. I smiled, bowed my head, and turned to leave, only to find Colby staring intently at me. It felt like he was boring holes into my face with his gaze.
My smile faded instantly, and I bit the side of my lip as we walked out together.
“No thank you?” Colby asked, raising a brow as we walked.
I sighed softly, then signed, “Thank you.”
Colby merely glared at me, his irritation evident in his expression.
“What’s wrong?” I signed.
He scoffed and walked away, intentionally bumping his shoulder against mine.
I sighed deeply. Colby probably hated that I was putting on a facade, but it wasn’t like I had any choice in the matter.
Looking up, I saw Yvonne glaring at me, her friends by her side. One of them exclaimed in anger and disgust, “Did Coach really allow her back on the team?”
“Leave her, girls. She’ll be gone soon enough. Let’s go on a short break,” Yvonne said with a smirk, walking past me and mimicking Colby’s actions by bumping into my other shoulder.
Urgh! Could my day get any worse? Such insufferable siblings
As Colby took his hand down, blood streamed from one of his nostrils. My eyes widened, and my jaw dropped. Before I knew it, I had left Harry’s side and rushed over to Colby, asking softly, “Are you okay?”
Colby’s eyes widened, mirroring my own shock as I realized I had just spoken to him impulsively and instinctively.
Fuck! Somebody just kill me.
Colby leaned forward, his lips close to my ear as he whispered, “Wow, finally.”
I swallowed hard, my throat bobbing.
Just then, thunder roared, and it started raining. Everyone began evacuating the field-a sudden rain meant practice was automatically over, and no one needed to be reminded.
Before I could gather myself, Colby grabbed my hand and started pulling me away. I tried to wriggle free, but it was no use. Colby was too strong, and his grip was so tight it hurt.
He took me to his dorm, and once we were inside, I signed, demanding to know what the hell was going on and why he had brought me there.
“We’re alone here, so talk and stop with the bullshit!” he yelled.
“You’re the bullshit,” I glared, signing angrily.
He scoffed and moved closer. “Wow, look at you, acting all innocent. But you were moaning so loudly, screaming like never before, and even asking for more while we were fucking!”
I was furious, resisting the urge to slap him. My face grew red, and I bit my bottom lip so hard it sliced, my fists clenched into tight balls.
Colby whispered, pulling me closer around my waist. “What if we fucked again? Would you let out that sweet voice? Tell me.”
I stared at him, my resolve wavering. I swallowed hard, gasping as he suddenly grabbed my ass with both hands, rubbing his bulge against my stomach.
“I love that sound, but I want more,” he growled, his voice filled with lust. “Give me fucking more, Sally.”
I leaned in, our mouths close to each other. “Make me,” I mouthed, meeting his gaze.
He narrowed his eyes as he tried to read my lips. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” he said in disbelief. “What did you just say?”
I repeated my words slowly, mouthing each syllable with emphasis. “Make me fucking scream, if you can.” Then I shrugged, as if daring him to take up the challenge.
